As soon as the door opened, we were greeted, with a big smiling "welcome" by one of the people working there. Then almost immediately taken to a nice booth by Ayla, our waitress. Our waitress, yes, I know this not politically correct, but right now nothing is politically correct, so I am using it because it fits the situation. She is not a "a wait person" she is a woman. This place has that old time neighborhood feel to it. The floors are clean, the tables are spotless, as are the seats and the bathroom. There are nice historic pictures all along the ledge near the ceiling that are nice to look at. It just feels comfortable to be there. Since we both like the same breakfast, we asked for the California omelet. This omelet is delicious, and it was big enough that we split it and then took the rest home. I always drive by and say to my family that I want to stop in. I love the old timey diners of yesteryear. My kids had a day off from school so we went out to breakfast. We went around 8:00am. The lot was pretty full, 1-2 spots open, a spot maybe on the street. It looked much busier than it was inside. 5 good size booths, 4 or 4 top tables and 2 or 2 seater booths along with the front bar seating. We were surprised how spacious it was compared to how it looks from the outside. We were able to get a seat right away. Service was spot on. It appeared an employee may have had a kiddo there due to a little backpack and coloring sheet. There was one kiddo at the bar with a couple patrons who were enjoying his company. As a mama I appreciated knowing that she has an employer who allowed her kiddo to come for part of the day. Really sealed the family diner feel. Kids loved their food. Portion sizes were great. The food was delicious. Our favorite cafe closed and we have been missing a good quality biscuits and gravy thats rich but no rich and full that it immediately gives you a stomach ache. The bacon was probably the best I've ever had and was perfectly cooked. Again, great and attentive service, yummy food, homey and very clean location. We will be back! read more

I've had the the BLTV and the BLT but the wheat bread is thinner than a sheet of paper as so the tomato, avacodo and bacon. That id so for each sandwhich. I've eaten other times and everything is sliced so thin. It's tasty but the lunch blt and blvt are just too thin for yhe price. Hashbrowns are the same, too thin. Meals are good but way too much money. It goes with everything else. Thats just my opinion. The BLT/BLVT'S sandwhuches are abiut 1 1/2 inches thick. read more

Glad that we finally made our way north to try this spot. When we checked online it said up to a half hour wait but we were seated immediately. It's a fairly small venue but they can turn the tables quickly with their efficient and accurate kitchen. Staff was super friendly, but maybe to a fault. By that I mean that several of their servers would congregate near two tables of regulars beside us and neglect things like coffee refills and cashing out other tables. That was bothersome for me. I am NEVER that customer who wags his empty coffee cup at a server but I was VERY tempted to do so this day. Mentally I WAS doing that as well as jumping on my chair ti try and break their spell--I'm sure they didn't even know they were doing it!! As for their food, it was indeed pretty good. Wife loved how the bacon was cooked and her egg over medium-well was also perfect. Nice, too that you can choose either two smaller hotcakes or toast as a side. The chicken fried steak patty however was below average. It's seriously so easy to bread and fry a cube steak that no one anywhere ever should buy those frozen CFS pucks! Have to say that the prices were on the high side and $3.95 for coded is the highest I've seen in town (but in their defense, it is locally toasted and pretty good coffee). read more

We ordered the BYOB (build your own breakfast) so I had scrambled eggs biscuits and gravy, bacon, hashbrowns, and we ordered the sausage gravy over the biscuits. The whole thing lasted me like three meals. It was absolutely delicious. The eggs were perfect. The bacon was perfect. It was the best breakfast I've had in a long time in a restaurant. One of my friends told me to go here and I am so glad she did! It's a small hole in the wall place. First of all, our waiter Jessi (I hope I remember her name right) was absolutely wonderful. She had the most welcoming warm smile on her face and we were so happy to be there. My coffee cup and water cup were never empty. **THEY DO NOT TAKE CALL-IN TO GO ORDERS** I literally live a block away from this place. Tried calling in, to place a 30 second order to go. The lady on the phone said they are not taking call in orders, but I could come in and place a to go order. THAT WOULD STILL TAKE THE SAME AMOUNT OF TIME!!! To top it off, I was still talking and she hung up on me. So, I walk a block, place my to go order, that took the same amount of time. They were NOT EVEN BUSY. First time patron today and so glad we came! It's Christmas Eve morning and it was a full house but luckily we got there at a good time to have our choice of seats before it filled up. We were quickly greeted and orders were taken within minutes. I was so hungry that I forgot to take pictures! I ordered the Light Biscuit and Eggs which is just a smaller version of their biscuit and gravy meal. And even though it was a half order, it was plenty to fill me up. It was one large biscuit in halves covered in gravy. I chose sausage gravy but they also had a country gravy option. The gravy was delish and piping hot. I hate when I get my biscuits and gravy and it's barely warm....this was perfect. It came with one egg and one slice of bacon or sausage. I chose bacon. My husband chose the Wall Street Breakfast that had THREE sausage patties, three eggs, hash browns and toast. Those sausage patties has a great flavor...made me wish I would've chosen sausage for my breakfast?! My hubby said next time he would throw some gravy on his browns. My favorite breakfast in Spokane! Service is always amazing. Food is great. We come here about once a week and the quality is always consistent. I love the unique hashbrowns, which come in a sort of "brick" that's crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Delicious. Highly recommended especially if you've got somewhere to be. The wall street diner was a very pleasant surprise. I had been there once before several years ago and sat at the counter and had a sandwich that was forgettable. I was not impressed and I never went back. Then my son convinced me that the wall street diner is a great place to have breakfast. Always willing to give a second chance, I was more than pleasantly surprised. They were hitting on all cylinders: the service was prompt and friendly, the selections were ample to suit both omnivores and vegetarians and I got exactly what I wanted even though it was an adjustment in the menu. The coffee comes from Four Seasons which happens to be my very favorite local coffee. Even the sourdough toast was to my liking. As I was enjoying my Mexican omelet, I took the opportunity to look around the room. The wall street diner has the ambience and coziness of a neighborhood spot. There's a counter, there are booths and there are tables comfortably arranged around the space. The decor is unpretentious and homey. I enjoyed breakfast very much. I will be back. read more
