Went to Franks Diner for breakfast with my son and wife this morning. We had the Ham steak and eggs and My wife had the patty Melt. The service was quick friendly and reoccurring. The ambiance is a 1906 train car. Prices have gone up a little and the menu is very different from other restaurants as they offer things like elk and boar. Great place we eat here every time we are in town at least once.

Food was amazing. Served hot and fast. Classic greasy spoon type dinner. Built from an old train, great setting. We sat at the counter, which was just as comfortable as any table. Staff was friendly and attentive. Portions were large, come hungry, you will get filled up. I had the Rueben sandwich, best I ever had. Definitely going back next time we are in town. Next time I want to try the French toast.

Top to bottom a fantastic experience. Excellent service and food. The Crispy Deviled Eggs are to die for. We had French Toast and Eggs Benedict. The staff are friendly and got our orders perfectly. We will come back!!!

The food here was decent. It's definitely a local staple and the people love it. Portions are decent size and pricing is fair. Servers were very nice and attentive. The ambiance is super cute, but also super cramped. Because it's a train car, it's pretty narrow. Didn't ruin the experience, just be prepared for this fact. One of the only issues I had was the handicap parking is on the opposite side of actual entrance. Not sure as to why, but it is.

Mary and I looking forward to breakfast!

This is so cute!! We were met by lovely hosts and severs and only waited 10min for a booth! I asked if the Hollandaise was homemade and was promptly sent out a bowl of Hollandaise for me to try. It was okay but not great so I ordered the Boar, Bacon, and Eggs. John ordered biscuits and gravy and Mary scrambled eggs and cremated or beyond crispy hash browns. It took awhile as the were busy but it was well worth the wait! Lovely service and tasty food!!

Passing this one morning in Mead, WA (just N. of Spokane), and knew it was going to be perfect for breakfast. It did not disappoint! What a fun spot - decked out in a rail car. Wonderful people. I ordered Frank's Classic Eggs Benedict. One of the best I've had. And even though that filled me up, their sign outside kept flashing that their Crispy Deviled Eggs were available. I figured this must be pretty special news, since even the menu pointed out, "when available." So I snagged an order. I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. Unfortunately these might be best left to the locals. I really wanted to like them, especially since I love deviled eggs, but I think I prefer mine not deep-fried. At least I gave them a shot.

Franks tends to be busy on the weekend I suggest going early. They have a nice gazebo you can wait in outside and a very small both to wait in inside. The food was great. Hash browns were nice and crispy and the biscuits tasted homemade. I suggest the staff clean their menus though because they were all sticky. I also like bigger chunks of Sausage in my gravy. The north location is in a better area and the train car is a fun, warm atmosphere.

The inside as shown in my picture is very charming and old timey. Allow time to wait for a table unless you are just one or two like I was and able to grab a seat at the bar. I was able to sit immediately. The staff is very amiable and the hostess made the recommendation that I try the Caprese Benedict, which had fried tomatoes in place of bread, fresh basil and blood orange balsamic drizzle. They offer the option of one or two Benedict, which is nice if you aren't super hungry. They also give the option to smother the hashbrowns and cheese, which I obviously opted into. The menu is absolutely massive though, so if Benedict's or even breakfast aren't your jam, you should be able to find something that suits your fancy. Also worth noting that they offer a very wide variety of gourmet flavors of house-made juices (7 or 8) for mimosas, like honeydew melon mint which I tried as a soda with soda water since I was driving.

It looked like they were using olives to try to cover up how the dish actually looked, which was mushy and gross. Somehow it tasted worse than it looked. The BLT had scant bacon, tons of lettuce, a few pink flavorless tomato slices and tons of bread. It fell completely apart due to not enough mayo. All I tasted was dry day old bread. The waitress kept leaning over a booth wall and across me, to present things instead of walking around a few steps to the table to complete service. She literally was knocking things off my plate in order to keep leaning over the booth wall to deliver things. She then would just laugh and continue this weird reach thing for anything else she brought including the check. It was really bizarre. The final audacity was the total of our lunch which ended up over $40. It wasn't worth $4. I usually give an establishment a few trys before giving up on them but in this case we will never be back.

My husband ordered the Uncle D's Burger which came with onion rings, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, barbecue sauce, on a brioche bun with a side of french fries for $18.00. Our food arrived quickly and everything was fresh to order. The Club Sandwich was impressive and tasted delicious. Everything was assembled fresh and the vegetables were still crisp. As for my husband's burger, he said it was cooked to medium well yet it still retained its moisture and was perfectly seasoned. He enjoyed the crispness the onion rings added and said the barbecue added a nice tangy flavor. As for the prices, we thought they were a little steep for brunch but still a fun experience. We wish our waters were refilled but other than those two things, not bad.
