I was really looking forward to going here. The service was superb, our server was primarily Avery... she was really wonderful. I had the elk chop steak, eggs over medium, and the fruit. Unfortunately, I had to send the fruit back and they replaced it with fresh fruit on the third try. That's on the kitchen, otherwise good. We had breakfast at Franks Diners on N Newport Hwy in Spokane. The service was outstanding and the food was even better. The ambiance is an old Train Car. My wife had the Nana's old fashion Meatloaf Breakfast and I had the eggs and sausage with fruit. Both were captivating in taste. If you are ever in Spokane you have to go and give them a try. We go there every trip. They have something called Crispy deviled eggs. We are going to try them next time but they look great. read more

I love Frank's diner! Their Joes Special is very good and is very filling. They accidentally gave me the half order, but were very friendly and corrected it. Their gluten free toast option is 3 little pancakes, which were good as well. The restaurant itself is cute and cozy. read more

Visited here from California, boy what a great experience in this train car. I asked my SIL for a greasy spoon restaurant, and boy was I pleased! I was really excited to have lunch here but I waited for 25 minutes to be sat when there were several free tables available. The food was immaculate I had the elk chop steak with rye toast eggs and fruit and it was the perfect portion size. It cost $24 but I felt that was reasonable given the quality and that I had elk. The coffee was a little burnt but the interior was super cool the service was great and my friend wanted one poached egg and one scrambled egg and they made it without asking. My husband had the elk sausage and really enjoyed it (I didn't like it...but keep in mind that I ordered oatmeal!) The 5-year-old had waffles...which were fluffy and came with lots of whipped cream! This is so cute!! We were met by lovely hosts and severs and only waited 10min for a booth! I asked if the Hollandaise was homemade and was promptly sent out a bowl of Hollandaise for me to try. It was okay but not great so I ordered the Boar, Bacon, and Eggs. John ordered biscuits and gravy and Mary scrambled eggs and cremated or beyond crispy hash browns. I ordered Frank's Classic Eggs Benedict. One of the best I've had. And even though that filled me up, their sign outside kept flashing that their Crispy Deviled Eggs were available. I figured this must be pretty special news, since even the menu pointed out, "when available." So I snagged an order. I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. Franks tends to be busy on the weekend I suggest going early. They have a nice gazebo you can wait in outside and a very small both to wait in inside. The food was great. Hash browns were nice and crispy and the biscuits tasted homemade. I suggest the staff clean their menus though because they were all sticky. I also like bigger chunks of Sausage in my gravy. The north location is in a better area and the train car is a fun, warm atmosphere. read more

We had the fish and Chips and it was defiantly over priced. The Cole Slaw was the worse we have ever tasted.
