4.5 Stars Delicious, unique, gourmet dishes in a cozy, classy environment. Honestly, I was drawn in by the Beef Wellington ($45+$25 on the menu). It was perfectly cooked and everything I could have hoped for it to be. A+++ from Gordon Ramsey. The chicken mushroom ravioli ($32) was also marvelous - and came in a creamy dreamy sauce. We split this between three people. The entrees all air on the salty, fatty, heavy, flavorful, rich side. Presentation of everything is beautiful. Staff are wonderful.

Excellent service from Ellie today! She is efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. I asked for a recommendation on the appetizer, I had two dishes I was considering. I landed on the mozzarella and it did not disappoint! Dan was at the bar and the restaurant got busy, with Ellie leading the charge of taking care of the whole place. I can't say enough about how flawlessly professional and efficient she is! Wiley's is lucky to have her. There's music in the background, not overwhelming. Quiet enough that it does not interfere with conversation. Food, service and vibe are all great. I'm really grateful I found this place on my work trip today !

Wiley's was good. I can see why the reviews are so positive. The night I went, it was extremely slow. Only one other table was occupied. I had the love bun appetizer, which was a delight for someone who loves bread as much as I do. Admittedly, it was a lot to eat by myself, but I ate probably 7/8 of it. I then had a salmon dish with crabmeat and I think over a risotto base. It was delicious with one exception - the salmon was a little dry/tough, which was disappointing considering I was visiting the Pacific Northwest and (like most) consider salmon something of a signature food for that area. I expected much better. I've had far better *pieces of salmon* in plenty of other places. However, the was it was prepared was quite excellent, so I'm chalking it up to a slow night or even an off night, subtracting one star. Other than the quality of the fish, it was a fantastic meal. If I ever have the chance to return, I expect better.

UPDATE: The restaurant called me yesterday. The manager was very kind, apologized for the experience, and wanted to make it right. My intention with the review was only to share my experience, not to make them feel like they owed me anything. So, for them to reach out and call me was really going above and beyond. I will definitely give them another shot. Our past experiences were genuinely so great and we really loved their food. Maybe it was just an off night. Thanks again to the restaurant for reaching out. It was very kind.

As they say 'you can't go back home again'. Back in Spokane several years after my last visit and I had such a great experience at Wiley's I just knew I had to return. Made my reservation and checked out the menu online. Some new items appeared to have been added and my favorite from my first visit seems to have been retired. But still, I was looking forward to a return trip! The only problem was as I walked to where I remembered the restaurant was, it wasn't there! They had moved, to a much nicer space, with a high-end feel! How cool is that! Although my favorites from my previous visit were gone, they had a number of new options that were again delish and great on the palette. Terrific service, same as before, has not gone anywhere and in some cases, even better. So to sum up, Wiley's is a great choice in downtown Spokane for a finer dining experience (you can always hit Clinkerdagger for a more homestyle experience).

The atmosphere was really nice and cozy. Music playing but not so loud you can't hear one another talking. The service was top notch. We hadn't been there before so our server explained everything and answered any questions. The food was amazing. I had the crab topped salmon and the risotto cake was a great addition to the meal. I've never had anything like that. The desserts were even better! We ordered one of every dessert and boy am I glad we did. Each one was fabulous with the key lime tart being our favorite with Creme Brûlée right there next to it. I've never had such a smooth crème brûlée in my life! This isn't the best picture of the desserts, but trust me, they were so good and we will be back for sure for dinner and dessert!

I came here twice while living in Spokane. Once for Valentine's Day and once for my graduation dinner. Service on Valentine's Day was AMAZING with the coursed meal. Service the second time around, not so much. Regardless, the food both times were delicious. I tried the salmon the first time and the top sirloin the second time. Definitely one of the better meals I've had when living in Spokane!

We decided to check out Wiley's bistro from all the great reviews and my yelpers did not disappoint!!! We had a wonderful dinner. I think they were skeptical of us with our 2 kids at a foodie fine dining place, but our kids have been with us everywhere. They know how to act and love good food! Our drinks were delicious! Our food was amazing. The kids loved their food! Fast forward two years from the last review I forgot to post... We ventured to Wiley's again. The address had changed so when we arrived the building looked different. We came in and decided we hadn't been here before. After dinner I went in to post about the great meal and saw my unposted Yelp review. When we were getting ready to leave, the gal told us they had moved, lol. Our server Jaime was wonderful. Very cheerful and helpful with the menu. They had a great drink menu. My husband loved the blackberry bramble and the mango Lima was delicious as well. The special was calamari with sauces and shishito pepper and capers, we nearly licked the plate. Best part is almost the whole menu is gluten free or can be. For dinner my husband had his first ever beef Wellington. It was cooked perfectly, med rare, and he ate every bite! I ordered the special gnocchi served with Parmesan crusted salmon. It was so good, unfortunately I stuffed myself with calamari and couldn't finish it. Thank goodness for to go containers. We ordered the crispy Brussel sprouts, they were yummy as well! The worst part was our meals were so good we had no room for dessert!

Located on Main Street in Downtown Spokane, Wiley's Downtown Bistro is the ideal place to enjoy a meal before a show at the First Interstate Center for the Arts. This restaurant has a nice wine list and local art on the walls, making it an inviting space. During my most recent visit, I sat in the bar area, so the bartender was also my server. He was a little busy taking on both roles, but still was friendly and attentive. To start I had a cup of the butternut squash soup, which was the daily soup during my visit. It was so good and sprinkled with roasted pepitas. For dinner I ordered the Cesar salad with grilled chicken. The salad was overly dressed, so maybe ask for dressing on the side or light dressing. The grilled chicken was perfectly cooked.

The food was really good. I had the beet salad with Salmon cooked medium rare. It was cooked perfectly m the atmosphere was very comfortable and the decor was very cute. The establishment was clean. The service was very good and our server was very attentive. Nice place I would eat here again if ever back on Spokane.

Ok... first off the food and plating was perfect! The tastes are worth the trip and a visit hands down. My only issue was the beef was over done. Now if it sat in a steamer or liquid crock pot it probably would have been juicy and off the chart but it was not there. But everything else was on point. Service was fantastic even though they were pretty busy.

Exceptional Experience @ Wiley's Downtown Bistro in Spokane, WA. !!! Absolutely wonderful service by Lindsey. The whole front of house worked seamlessly and very well together. The restaurant itself was small but robust and featured original oil paintings throughout. We were lucky enough to be welcomed here, as they got very busy with their reservations in the early evening hours this past Saturday. Drinks were flavorful. The Beet salad made us pucker with delight. The tasty Pescatarian entrees and their accoutrements were thoughtfully paired and savored. We'll make sure to have a reservation for the next time! Thank you so much. Highly recommend.

We happened upon this place on our girls trip from Missoula back to Seattle. This place was delicious. Everything was great! We stopped for lunch after opening and all were happy we did! Wish I was closer bc I would come here every week!

The whole atmosphere is dark, cozy, moody, and feels more like a hidden lounge than a typical downtown bar. Between the lighting, music, books, and dramatic cocktail menus, the vibe alone makes the place worth visiting. We tried the espresso martini, Painkiller, and Bloody Verde. The espresso martini was smooth and easy to drink without being overly sweet, and the Painkiller had that creamy tropical flavor that somehow still worked with the darker speakeasy atmosphere. Keeping it honest though, the Bloody Verde just wasn't for me personally. I can still appreciate the creativity behind it, but the flavor combo just didn't match my taste buds. That being said, if you like savory spicy cocktails, you'd probably feel very differently about it. Service was friendly, drinks came out looking great, and the music really tied the whole experience together. Definitely feels like one of Spokane's more unique cocktail spots if you want something moodier and more relaxed.

We arrived around 5:30pm and left around 8. When we arrived we immediately felt warm and cozy. The vibes are absolutely immaculate! There are plants and cute decor everywhere and the lighting is really soothing. We were shown to a table in the back that was more private and it really felt like we had our own little garden that we were hanging out in. The server was very nice and friendly. Both she and the other server or bartender were friendly and attentive. We ordered a bunch of drinks throughout the night. I had two pinky promises because I don't drink and they were absolutely delicious. They have some great mocktail options to choose from! We also got the hummus board and the bites board and they were fantastic! The hummus board had two rotating hummus options - one was a normal hummus and the other was a beet hummus. The pita chips seemed freshly made and were AMAZING. I wish I could take a bag to go with me! The bites board was also amazing and had some delicious cheeses. We asked to have the meats replaced with other things to make it vegetarian and it was fantastic. They should add it as a menu item, we loved every bit of it! It didn't feel like it had substitutions at all. We loved every second of our time there and kept saying how we wished it was local to us. The atmosphere was really enjoyable -- the space has a great vibe, the drinks were well made, and overall it feels like somewhere that could become a favorite spot downtown. The food was decent as well, though not especially memorable. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed the positives. From the moment we walked in, we felt more like an inconvenience than welcomed guests. The host greeted us while remaining seated at the bar and simply told us to "sit anywhere," which immediately set an odd tone. When I asked for paper menus, I was told they only use QR codes. Normally that wouldn't be a huge issue, but the menu was around 15 pages long with tiny font, making it frustrating to navigate on a phone. Once our food arrived, we essentially never saw our server again. No check-ins, no refill offers, no asking if we wanted another round of drinks -- nothing. Meanwhile, staff members were gathered at the bar loudly talking among themselves and openly complaining about being there, which was uncomfortable to listen to as customers trying to enjoy a night out. Eventually, we had to walk up to the front bar ourselves just to pay our bill. That was the most disappointing part because the restaurant truly has the foundation to be excellent. The ambiance and drinks are already there, but hospitality matters just as much as the food. A little attentiveness and genuine customer service would have completely changed the experience. We absolutely would have ordered more drinks and likely stayed longer if anyone had checked on us. Hopefully management takes service more seriously, because this place could be great with the right staff culture and attention to guests.

But this restaurant is very pricey for inconsistent food. We've been twice now- didn't love it enough the first time but wanted to give it a second chance. The lemon pasta was divine the first time- but my carbonara was unflavored paste- I literally thought I had COVID and lost the ability to taste food but everyone else's food tasted good so that theory didn't hold up. This time I ordered the lemon pasta and instead of creamy, delightful and tasty it was a little bland and watery. The waitress "fixed it " by offering me more Parmesan to thicken it. I'd added prawns- they were nice. My companion ordered the veal parm- the tomato sauce wasn't amazing and the breading was a bit heavy. He wasn't impressed and didn't finish the dish. The risotto was just OK. Again, it's very pricey for just OK. The food isn't trash but if you've had great food you don't want to pay so much for just ok. We would rather spend the money at Luna or Francaise or Wooden City. Dessert was yummy. The first time we went we arrived first seating and it looked like the AARP theater crowd, the last night we went seemed like a galantine's preview! So if you're there for the drinks, appetizers and ambiance it's quite nice. I can't endorse it whole heartedly because the entree's weren't consistently good enough to give the full 5 stars.
