Adam is an amazing bartender, I was having a tough day and he made it better with his perfected cosmopolitan. I highly recommend, and hopefully Adam is working !

Here to have a lavender lemon mimosa and a soy latte before a waffle next door Yum so excited

Breakfast for her birthday

We stopped in to Emma Rue's as we had to wait for seating at People's Waffle (they're connected). The menus are via QR code which I like - paperless is pretty great. Ordering coffee could have been better, it seems like they only have one barista who is also the one taking orders so you had to stand there for a few minutes before placing your order and there isn't really an area to wait in for your drink so you kind of stand there awkwardly. The barista eventually did ask for help but I had to repeat my order a few times to them as they didn't know what was going on, maybe they were new. The drinks are quite small for the price but they taste great.

Framboise 75, cortado!

Hailey was kind, helpful & an awesome help! My hubby got the cortado, which he loved. And I got the best "French framboise 75" ...it literally was the BEST craft French 75 twist I've ever had! Hailey also made me a cold brew with their homemade delicate lavender vanilla syrup...delish! I could really taste the flavor, with the Coava coffee beans, it was a well balanced treat! Can't say enough good things... Thankyou!

Cute spot! I love a place that will serve you coffee in a real cup. Good coffee and good service. Also love the option to go for the cocktails over coffee. Pastries are their only food, but you can pop over next door for food with your coffee.

Espresso old fashioned and Grapefruit Elderberry mimosa.
Amy J.

I absolutely love the concept of late night drinks and desserts so I'm hoping to get there for some after dinner delights soon. This time we had some breakfast drinks to go with our waffles. I had the elderberry grapefruit mimosa and my husband had the espresso old fashioned. The OF was a bit too intense for both of us at that hour of the day, but the mimosa was unique and refreshing. The drinks came up quick, we just grabbed them from the counter and brought them back to People's Waffle.

Matcha and lavender latte

Sister cafe to People's Waffle Service was friendly, efficient, and welcoming The lattes are a must try The environment was exquisite The design shows amazing character of Emma Rue's Highly recommended.

I had some of the most disrespectful and back handed customer service I have ever received in my life from one of the bartenders here. Although, our orders were taken in an appropriate manner, our drinks were lacking the normal garnishes and proper treatment that I normally receive here. Our drinks were quite delicious and tasty and there was no delay in our orders other than that. I was disappointed with the customer service here after I have heard such excellent things about this place.

Delish coffee, cute atmosphere and gf pastries. Looks like a swanky bar and would probably be amaze for cocktails in the evening. Def recommend

Went for drinks, they were great! Super cute inside, very lovely decor. Service was a bit slow but they said it was busier than usual for the time we went!

This place is perfect for a cute date or chill hang out. The atmosphere was very vibey, and almost had the speakeasy affect to it without being so dark. The bartenders were super cute, the drinks were delicious AND we went on a Thursday when there was a live jazz band.

We arrived around 5:30pm and left around 8. When we arrived we immediately felt warm and cozy. The vibes are absolutely immaculate! There are plants and cute decor everywhere and the lighting is really soothing. We were shown to a table in the back that was more private and it really felt like we had our own little garden that we were hanging out in. The server was very nice and friendly. Both she and the other server or bartender were friendly and attentive. We ordered a bunch of drinks throughout the night. I had two pinky promises because I don't drink and they were absolutely delicious. They have some great mocktail options to choose from! We also got the hummus board and the bites board and they were fantastic! The hummus board had two rotating hummus options - one was a normal hummus and the other was a beet hummus. The pita chips seemed freshly made and were AMAZING. I wish I could take a bag to go with me! The bites board was also amazing and had some delicious cheeses. We asked to have the meats replaced with other things to make it vegetarian and it was fantastic. They should add it as a menu item, we loved every bit of it! It didn't feel like it had substitutions at all. We loved every second of our time there and kept saying how we wished it was local to us. This place is an absolute gem and I hope it gets more traction because of how wonderful it is. If I ever visit Spokane again I will absolutely be back here!

Being full of plants and dog friendly added to the appeal for our crew. The service and cocktails were top notch, though I was a little sad that most of the food options I was interested in were not available. The charcuterie and hummus plates were nice, and ample servings for our whole table. Our small group had a great experience, and I truly hope more people will recognize what a gem this place is!

Our drinks were always full and she answered all our questions. She brought me beer samples to figure out which one I wanted. The waiter was busy but always greeted and said goodbye to all guests coming and going. Food 10/10 For the tablet we got calamari, the Durkins famous double cheeseburger and the fried bologna sandwich. The food was extremely fresh! The cheese was melted to perfection. We left with full bellies but not feeling heavy. The food was decadent but not greasy. My husband got a mocktail, spiced cranberry and it was fabulous! My husband and I can't wait to go back. We paid approximately $100 with tip, so it's not cheap, but WORTH IT for the quality of food and service.

Upon my encounter with one of the bartenders, I was told that they only had one burger. It was a double burger and it came with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and a delicious pickle. The burger was spot-on and much better than I had anticipated. It was fairly large and filling and was cooked nicely. It came with some fries and a dipping sauce that always was a good adjunct to the burger. Burger came it to ~$25.00 which is expensive for a burger, but given inflation and the deliciousness this burger represented, I was satisfied. Ambiance-wise, it is a nice looking bar that serves food, and they make upscale drinks. Definitely was not planning on having drinks here, but the bartender was nice enough to agree to make me a royal aviation as they make regular aviations. I will definitely be back for that and I am looking forward to it. Highly recommend this place!

I ordered it every time. * Matilda's Cake smaller than expected, but the best chocolate cake I've ever had. Still for $12 smaller than I thought it would be

The ambiance is lovely. Good wine, interesting cocktails, freshly made focaccia ( at $14/ serving…read more-it should be) salads are tasty. But this restaurant is very pricey for inconsistent food. We've been twice now- didn't love it enough the first time but wanted to give it a second chance. The lemon pasta was divine the first time- but my carbonara was unflavored paste- I literally thought I had COVID and lost the ability to taste food but everyone else's food tasted good so that theory didn't hold up. This time I ordered the lemon pasta and instead of creamy, delightful and tasty it was a little bland and watery. The waitress "fixed it " by offering me more Parmesan to thicken it. I'd added prawns- they were nice. My companion ordered the veal parm- the tomato sauce wasn't amazing and the breading was a bit heavy. He wasn't impressed and didn't finish the dish. The risotto was just OK. Again, it's very pricey for just OK. The food isn't trash but if you've had great food you don't want to pay so much for just ok. We would rather spend the money at Luna or Francaise or Wooden City. Dessert was yummy. The first time we went we arrived first seating and it looked like the AARP theater crowd, the last night we went seemed like a galantine's preview! So if you're there for the drinks, appetizers and ambiance it's quite nice. I can't endorse it whole heartedly because the entree's weren't consistently good enough to give the full 5 stars. Service was fine and we tipped accordingly. Good luck!
