I had a really lovely time at Kitty Cantina in Spokane, the vibe is super cozy, and all the kitties were adorable. I absolutely love the concept of Kitty Cantina--it's such a great way to combine a café with a cat adoption center. The food was incredible--seriously, a 10 out of 10--so I highly recommend visiting just for that. They also have a drive-through option where a lot of people bring furry friend to get a treat. The kittens do cost $200, which is good to know upfront. That said, the adoption process is very slow. Because it's off-season (winter) they have limited cats, and the website wasn't very functional. They open their books for a reservations the week of and they book up pretty fast. They do have walk-in visits Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays for around $5, it's four people at a time and it's first come first serve for those visits. Same-day adoptions aren't possible; you need an appointment. If you're looking to adopt quickly, I'd suggest trying somewhere else--like Petsmart, where we found a beautiful kitten and adopted the same day. The process was seamless and so easy. Still, I'll definitely be back for the food and to support them with donations--just be prepared for a longer adoption timeline. read more

I'd like to start by saying the staff is kind and the environment is welcoming. That said, I was genuinely upset by the condition of several of the cats. At least three to four had visibly runny noses and watery eyes, which is concerning and hard to witness. Seeing sick animals put on display like that is unacceptable. The health and well-being of these cats needs to be taken far more seriously. read more

Cute coffee shop that makes a great cup of coffee, but also putting the spotlight on adopting kitties! They always have some sort of themed drink specials going on and they occasionally have special events, such as trivia nights. For potentially adopting one of the kitties, one does need to schedule an appointment for a play date. During which time you get an hour to see if any of the kitties would be a great addition to your home. If you love coffee and kitties, this is a must place to visit. read more

I was up in Spokane visiting my friend for the week and so we decided to stop at Kitty Cantina. I had only ever heard of cat cafe's in Japan and so I was really excited to go see one myself. The parking lot has lots of parking and the building is extremely lean. There is a glass box you initially enter, with the cats in the door to the right, while the door in front is the café portion. They are separated by a glass wall so you can see the cats while you eat or drink. We didn't realize that to see the cats you'll need to set up an appointment ahead of time. If you like the cats enough then you can always adopt too! The staff here is extremely friendly. It was some of the friendliest people I have ever met in my entire life. They were super helpful and when I asked for a surprise Red Bull, the lady told me "with cream?" Now I had never heard of putting cream in a Red Bull before, but I was encouraged to try it. Through my time in Spokane, I came to realize most places around here ask if you want cream in it. Surprisingly, it was fantastic. I'm definitely going to be putting cream in mine back in California. All of the food here is also cat related. I ordered a "Catsadilla" which was a quesadilla. Quesadilla's are fairly simple to make, and so can be messed up easily, but this one was great! It came with some sour cream and salsa which made it that much more enjoyable. They also sell cat toys, stickers, and merch for Kitty Cantina and so obviously I had to buy some of the adorable stickers. If you're looking for a unique café experience, love cats, want some good food and drinks, then I'd definitely recommend giving Kitty Cantina a try! read more

We ordered a smoothie a coffee and a vanilla steamer and the steamer was so bad that my friend got sick and that was are first stop of the day and the coffee we order was burned and I say to change the coffee beans and they don't use real fruit for a smoothie they use flavor witch don't taste that good we also ordered a cake pop and didn't hand it to us and we went in to led some cats and we couldn't because they don't take in walks in so my friend started sobbing because she couldn't pet the cats and when we were looking at the merch there were satanic symbols and other witch craft looking stuff witch I didn't like and it was unsettling and my friend left sobbing and crying read more

I follow their Instagram and fell in love! I just moved back into town and wanted to check this place out. I remember seeing every Sunday is "Happy Meower" and had to go! I couldn't book an appointment but I stopped in for drinks and food. I could still admire kittens at a safe distance. The menu was so cute with cat puns and the baristas were really friendly and full of energy. We can't wait to come back and what an amazing concept to help cats! We noticed this business when we dropped our items off at the Laundry next door, we finally set up a date day and... it was the best date we've had in forever... it was super clean, the kitties were so adorable (we are not able to have a kitty at home, as our daughter is terribly allergic). I promptly fell in love with a sweet little tortie girl named Rosie. I so wanted to bring her home. The staff there are all wonderful and really take the care of the cats seriously. Great idea, adorable cats (if you have a reservation) meh food and rude employees. Took my teenage daughter there because duh cats. Food was meh, sandwiches with stale potato chips and nothing special. Couldn't go in and see the cats because you need a reservation and NO CHILDREN as I was sternly reminded by the staff member as she eyeballed my teenager (I don't really know what that was about). As they made our food we were graced with the conversation from the staff on shift about "how amazing it was to see all the dads bringing their children in" and "what amazing parents they must be for bringing their children in for lunch". Hi, single mother here so that was a little awkward to stand there with that conversation happening behind the counter as I was waiting for our food . I can not express how much I love this small business. Not only is the food, drinks, and atmosphere amazing but I absolutely love the cause behind this business. There is a lovely family who owns this business and they partner with the Spokane humane society. 100000% worth it to pay for a kitty visit. I love love love supporting this business as much as I can and wished everyone in Spokane knew about them. They have a wonderful set up for the kitties to live in while waiting to be adopted. There's no better place than this place on earth! I could literally spend all day here. I brought my accountability buddy for not buying everything they have here. I was driving by and saw the signs for this place and immediately paused my plans to come here!! I lived in Korea for 2 years and never visited any of their millions of cat cafés. I've regretted it ever since. This is now my new favorite coffee shop. My meow-cha is tastey. The kittens were ADORABLE. (I didn't enter the kitty room for Covid reasons, but I could still see their sweet sleeping faces.) I was the only one in there which was awesome because I got my coffee super quick and I got to chat it up with the super friendly employees. Our first time stopping at the Kitty Cantina and we will be back again! The atmosphere is great, as is the staff. I bought some of their cute merchandise (tank top and some stickers), as well as coffee and food. My fiancé and I both ordered one of the drink specials, I forgot the name but it was a blended cold brew with some other flavors in it. These were AMAZING!!! Up there with one of the best coffees I've had, and I have pretty high standards for my coffee. For food ,I got the Turkey & hiss (Turkey panini) and my fiancé got the gangsta wrap made me do it (Turkey wrap). The panini was delicious, but the wrap was average. Seating next to the cat room is very limited (I believe 6 seats total), but you can still watch all the kitties play from a distance at most of the other seating options.
