I follow their Instagram and fell in love! I just moved back into town and wanted to check this place out. I remember seeing every Sunday is "Happy Meower" and had to go! I couldn't book an appointment but I stopped in for drinks and food. I could still admire kittens at a safe distance. The menu was so cute with cat puns and the baristas were really friendly and full of energy. We can't wait to come back and what an amazing concept to help cats! Highly recommend anyone to book a cuddle session or just stop by for drinks and the sights! This place is really modern and clean. We were amazed by the ingenuity and the purrfect idea to help cats find their furever homes!

We noticed this business when we dropped our items off at the Laundry next door, we finally set up a date day and... it was the best date we've had in forever... it was super clean, the kitties were so adorable (we are not able to have a kitty at home, as our daughter is terribly allergic). I promptly fell in love with a sweet little tortie girl named Rosie. I so wanted to bring her home. The staff there are all wonderful and really take the care of the cats seriously. We grabbed coffees and goodies afterwards - We LOVED this place!

I absolutely love this cafe. The staff is wonderful and the drinks and food are great! Their love of cats and the cause they support is worth every penny. Definitely a great spot for a snack and a smile.

Basically my reaction

This was me the whole time. I loved the place. Clean and inviting environment just make sure to schedule a visit if you want to pet the kitties. Food, drinks and service was amazing.

I wish we had made reservations to cuddle these cuties, but we loved watching them through the window instead!

A must visit!!! Food, beer, environment and employees are…read more100/10 They are so brilliant with the flavors they choose for their food & beers.

I was recommended to try this place by a co-worker and decided to order two of their sandwiches…read morewhich was talked up by several reviews here on Yelp. I ordered the Fig Sandwich and the Fancy Pants Sando because I could not decide between the two as they both sounded very unique in different ways. I called the place up and arranged to come pick the food up. The person on the phone was very thoughtful in keeping in mind at what time I would arrive so he could arrange for the sandwich to be toasted at the right time. I appreciate small details like that. When I arrived, I noticed there were several tables and a bar where you can essentially get brews and food. I noticed they had several beers on tap which I was very curious about, but unfortunately did not have time to sit down and eat at this establishment. The person at the bar was extremely friendly and made me feel very welcome. The two sandwiches came up to $40ish. I brought the sandwiches home and first tried a few bites of the Fancy Pants Sando. I will have to say it was the better of the two sandwiches. I appreciated the goat cheese in the sandwich and the mix of different ingredients, but it was not something I would consider to be a great sandwich, at least not for me. Others might find it pleasant, but I did not care for it much. The fig sandwich was the one I was more excited about and expected some sweetness to be cut down by the bacon. I don't think it was a perfect balance between the two, and I got a tad much of the overwhelming sweetness of the figs in this sandwich. Again, others might enjoy it, but I didn't care for it. I really wanted to give this place a great review, but unfortunately it did not meet my expectations. The beer looks fun though and might be a good reason to give this place a try, and you may enjoy their sandwiches and many people have. For me, that's a no-go.

Another master class by Jamie Aquino! I've been eyeing her Farm to Table class for a couple years…read moreand finally had the chance to attend with my dad. This class is great because you also get a trip to the Kendall Yards Farmers Market where Jamie breaks down what's in season and an ideas for how to use various ingredients. You shop along with her as she picks out the main ingredients for the class and have time to shop yourself before getting started with the actual class back at the Kitchen Engine. Her classes and dishes are vegetarian and plant-based so you leave with nutritious and delicious recipes. My only disclaimer is that this class (and really any class) will be challenging for those with mobility issues. The walking involved at the market with this class and the bar stool seating for the 3-hr class was difficult for my father, who has mobility issues. That said, he has a blast. Just a callout so you know what to expect.

Lo and behold, there was one of the best kitchen gadget ships I've ever experienced combined with a cafe combined with a cooking school. This place is seriously the best of three worlds. I was able to buy some loose leaf tea for my daughter, the cortado was DELICIOUS, and they had some very specialized kitchen tools o haven't seen anywhere else (pizza scissors that double as servers!) if you're a foodie, a chef, or just someone who likes good espresso, this is the place to stop in. Plus, my honey forgot his water bottle when we ordered coffee and the baristas were so kind to have set it aside for us when we later returned. LOVE this place.
