1.17.26: I was craving pho on this freezing cold day and after looking up a few different places, I wanted to try Hot Pot & Pho and to see if I could catch robot Brian in action. When we walked in for lunch, we were greeted with a smile and sat immediately. Drink order was taken right away and I went with hot oolong tea to warm me up. We ordered a handful of appetizers to start: spring rolls, fresh spring rolls, crab rangoons, and pot stickers. It all came out nice and hot and everything was sooo good and packed with unique flavors. The fresh spring rolls were big and had 2 large shrimps per half, which is very adequate. The peanut sauce was traditional and consistency was great. For my entree, I ordered a small pho with tofu and the added vegetables to make it more heartier. The pho broth was perfect for the soul, noodles tender, and veggies not overcooked. I thoroughly enjoyed my soup. Service was awesome, food was 'pho'nomenal, and it was fun to see robot Brian helping to serve food! I'll definitely be back to try Hot Pot and dim sum. read more

Been meaning to try this place out for a few years, finally got the chance. Greeted right away by the two owners (I think) and even though I've had hot pot before, they explained everything, all so helpful and welcoming. The crab Rangoon and spring rolls came out fast and absolutely fresh and delicious. The peanut sauce was top notch. Went with a clear broth and the spicy level 3 with two beef. The veggies were just enough and the beef was thinly sliced and absorbed all the flavors. They came to check on us a few times. Great experience and will be back to try out their pho. read more

My daughter and I came here today and had such a great experience from start to finish. We called ahead just to check if we needed a reservation, and they let us know we'd be fine for a table of two. We told them we were only a few minutes away, and when we arrived, they already had our table set up and ready for us, which was such a nice touch. The service was amazing. Both our server and the hostess (possibly the manager or owner) checked in on us throughout the meal and were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our server did a great job explaining how the hot pot works and clearly knew the menu really well, which made the whole experience feel easy and fun. The food was incredible. We ordered the beef hot pot with rice noodles in the sweet and sour broth along with all the vegetables, plus steamed custard buns and crab rangoons. Everything was so cozy, flavorful, and just genuinely delicious. One of our favorite parts was how the food is delivered on the cutest little robot cart--it made the experience even more fun and memorable. Liked this place quite a bit. Never mind the robot server, the food was great. I pretty much stuck to the appetizer side of their menu, which included very nice Banh Mi sams that I did not expect to be as big as they were (one went home!). Those with lighter appetites could have been satisfied with the Chicken Wraps, honestly. They do have an egg noodle option for their soups, which always pleases my Wifey, as well, who is not much of a rice noodle gal. Food was fresh as all get out; broth had great umami; and, there were decent condiments offered on the table--and house fish sauce if you ask. This is a diamond in the rough on East Sprague! We had spicy beef hot pot and dim sum. There are enough options that you will not get bored! The shu mai and shrimp dumplings are incredible and better than what you get almost anywhere else in Spokane. The hot pot comes with options of broth and spice levels. My husband got as spicy as possible and it lived up to that. Great flavor, very fresh vegetables, and a very generous portion. Full bar with cocktail menu, beer and wine options so you can wash down the delicious food with a drink. Ample parking and very friendly wait staff. Truly couldn't ask for more! Amazing to finally get to eat Hot Pot. We absolutely love making food table side and this didn't disappoint. We selected the hot and sour and clear broths and seafood and beef proteins. They serve the hot pot with a whole plate a fresh veggies and your choice of ramen or rice. We got the ramen. Both broths were very flavorful. We also got some springs rolls that came with a great peanut sauce and then some BBQ pork steamed buns. Getting an order of the buns to go for our son since this restaurant is almost 2 hours from home. We will definitely be back. We stopped today for a late lunch. My wife had the Chicken Pho, I had #35 Seafood & Hot Sweet Sour Soup. The Hot Sweet Sour soup was delicious. Shrimp, scallops, noodles in a spicy hot rich broth. Excellent spice level! I'll order it again. My wife's Pho was also generous size, excellent flavor, she especially liked the basil. The server was exceptional and helpful. The BEST! We got the hot pot. Seafood, lamb, beef. The ambiance may not be up to par for some people but it's got a nostalgic, homey charm, decorated with vibrant faux flowers, traditional ornaments, and cheerful touches that make the space feel welcoming and full of character. My guy and I dined for the first time here and it was great! We had a reservation and although we were a bit early, Brian greeted us with a welcoming attitude and seated us immediately. Simone was the sweetest server, super helpful with showing us how the dining experience worked. The ingredients were beautiful and fresh, and the robot service was fun -- she talks to you! We ordered one clear broth and one spicy, both accommodated in separate sections of the hot pot. I got chili oil on the side, but didn't need it. Mine was spicy enough at level 3. Thuy came by to ask how the meal was, and we chatted at length with her and partner Brian. They seemed genuinely happy to meet us and that is so hard to find these days. We also love going to Thuy's other restaurant, the Mongolian BBQ which is better/cleaner/fresher than some other similar Mongolian places in the area. To-go containers are styrofoam, so just be cautious because we took ours home and the next morning the broth had seeped through the styrofoam, leaking slightly onto our fridge shelf. We turned the table pot off a while before taking to-go, but it may have been still too hot. Suggest they go with plastic to-go containers just to be safe. But with enough leftovers for another bowl of pho, it's like getting two meals out of the price of one. Overall a fantastic experience and we'll come back again! P.S. I read some of the prior reviews here, and we didn't have any issues that others did. Maybe this staff just needed to some grace after the grand opening to improve the service with a new staff. There's only two flavors of hot pot and they both taste awful, one tastes similar to the flavor of the sauce that comes with frozen potstickers, the other broth is just egg drop soup. for two people the bill ended up $80. If you're gonna spend $80 on a date don't do it here, this restaurant is overpriced and tastes awful! read more

Beautiful golden dragons engraved in the entire ceiling and flower-garnished round archways gave it a special touch :) For their appetizers, their pork banh mi sandwich, fresh shrimp and pork spring rolls, and egg rolls were amazing! My mom is from Vietnam, and I was raised in Little Saigon, Orange County. Trust me when I say everything was authentic. And the entire menu had English AND Vietnamese with descriptions, so you knew exactly what you were getting. Hot pot for 2 was delicious! You each can order your own broth and protein while cooking them on the same table because the pot is divided. My boyfriend doesn't like seafood but thanks to this, neither of us had to compromise. Warning: Hot and sour broth (2 out 7 on their spice scale) is more like a 4-5 I had to tap out... Luckily, the servers and owner were so kind, they brought extra of my boyfriend's clear broth for me - no additional charge. Coolest of all: Our food was delivered to our table by a cheeky talking robot on wheels!! He had built-in shelves to carry our apps and hot pot ingredients. He was followed by our waitress who would transfer the many many plates of food to the table. They had several dessert options including cheesecake, crème brûlée, and ice cream. We had not tried any Vietnamese restaurants in the valley and decided to give this place a chance, it did not disappoint! I had not been in this location since it was a Chinese restaurant years ago and I could tell the owners had put in a lot of work to clean the place up. It had great ambiance and none of the old outdated decor. We split a grilled pork banh mi and also each got a bowl of pho. The banh mi was perfection! The bread was toasted just right, the ingredients were fresh and perfectly balanced, the flavors were out of this world. The pho was easily the best I've had even though I got a little carried away with sriracha. The broth was tasty and not too salty, and the amount of meat we got was generous. It was just the right amount to get full without having to waste or carry around a tub of soup for the rest of the night. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, and they also had a cool little robot that carried our food to the table, which I haven't seen anywhere else in town. Had fresh spring rolls and dim sum as starters. The spring rolls were excellent, would have loved to get some peanut sauce, but the sweet chili sauce was pretty good. The pho was served nice and hot! The broth was rich and deep in flavor. The sides were fresh: bean sprouts, Thai basil, lime wedges, and sliced jalapeño peppers. (Would have loved extra fresh herbs like, cilantro, and/or Vietnamese mint but not necessary) Beautiful ceiling tiles, the rest of the place is clean but stark. I have had the food here 3 times. I haven't done the hot pot. The pho broth keeps getting better and better. The bread for the bahn mi sandwiches was amazing. I think this is the best pho in the valley. The staff has always been great. The robot is fun to see go around, my son loves it.
