In a food court filled with the usual fast food chains, Miso Fresh Asian offered many fresh favorites, some gluten free, with substitutable meat and vegan proteins on everything and you can see the chef stir fry your food at the kitchen in the front counter. The best part is you get to see your food getting done right in front of you .. wok getting tossed and turned .. certainly a good way to enjoy your food before it even arrives :). It is just that by the end of a few orders or when a few pile up the place gets a bit chaotic and the vegetables etc fly of the wok and sometimes it is not a good sight. But then the food is healthy, fresh, great on prices which is wonderful. Got a yakisoba tofu bowl last time .. well, somehow like other Asian places around, I think that the sauce was a bit sweet here as well :( .. but that is just my preference .. If I take in to account the food in all, it is consistently good, fresh, healthy and tasty which is what one would ask for. Whenever we go to the mall, this is one of our favorites. I love that the food tastes fresh as opposed to the fried foods at other places. We have tried a variety of foods at Miso Fresh Asian. My go-to is usually the teriyaki chicken yakisoba noodle bowl. It has a lot of food for the money and the perfect amount of sauce. I like the fresh green onions and bean sprouts placed on top as well. My husband always gets s bahnmi sandwich. He says it is the best in town. It's perfectly cooked and topped with fresh cilantro. We have also had the shrimp spring rolls and they are excellent. The peanut dipping sauce is so good we wish we could buy a bottle of it. We have also enjoyed the katsu chicken bites before. Perfectly golden fried. Every time we go there the food in consistently fresh and the same amount. Good value. The only thing I have a complaint about is they only make so many Spring rolls for the day and they are out about fifty percent of the time we go. read more

Wonderful and so fresh. You can watch everything assembled and cooked right in front of you. I got the yakisoba with chicken in the spicy miso sauce. I topped it with siracha to give an extra kick. My hubby did two tours in Japan and raved about the yakisoba over there. He's tried quite a few places here in the states and couldn't find anything close to the flavors in Japan, until now. He just had lunch at Miso Fresh Asian in the Northtown Mall in Spokane and he absolutely loved their yakisoba and what big servings! Crunchy veggies, meat was cooked perfect and those noodles! This restaurant is in the Northtown Mall Food Court. I took my family and we chose 2 Miso Littles for the toddlers, a Tokyo Teriyaki for the oldest kid and 2 Miso Ramens for the parents. The food seemed fresh and looked good, the service was very good. It was however absolutely tasteless. I added a TON of salt and some hot sauce just to choke it down. I wanted this to be fabulous because it looked like the freshest option in the mall. Even worse than that the floor was so sticky I nearly lost a shoe. YUCK. I ordered spicy chicken teriyaki, it was not remotely spicy and barely had flavor at all as it and my Brown rice under it created a soup.. too much water, had to be water because it had no flavor. We were still hungry after the Yelp event this evening, so were planning on stopping by Arby's for a sandwich - assuming they had any meat. As we were driving up Division I saw the mall, so I asked if we could wander the food court instead - something we'd yet to do since moving here. We wandered past many tasty-looking choices, but eventually settled on Miso Fresh. I ordered the beef ramen in bacon shoyu broth, no veggies. The cashier asked if mushrooms were ok; I said yes. I went & sat while the food was prepared. My husband gets the food when it is ready. It is filled with onions, which upset my stomach. I tried to eat around them but the sheer quantity made that difficult. It also gave the broth a too-sweet flavor. I think next time we'll try the Italian joint instead. read more

I wanted to go back and order other plates. My Bahn Mi, tasted just like ones I've had in San Francisco. All places make them a little differently, & these are GOOD. Every time I go to North Town Mall, I always go to Panda Express but last Saturday My husband and I decided to try this place. So we both ordered the chicken teriyaki and we are both pleased... The rice is cook to perfection as well as the chicken, the teriyaki sauce is delicious and what I like the most is the veggies it is cook to perfection, not too soggy. You can tell that all the veggies were fresh. The price is cheap too and portion is great as well. I will definitely recommend this place and will definitely come back here again and again and again to try some more on their menus. read more

@Northtown Mall: The service and the freshness of the food were both superb, but the food itself was not impressive at all. I had the My Thai chicken (yellow curry coconut sauce) while my boyfriend had the Spicy Teriyaki chicken. Mine was rather sweet from the coconut milk but if I hadn't been told from the menu that it was supposed to be curry, I never would've guessed it was present. My boyfriend's "spicy" teriyaki wasn't spicy in the least; in fact, Taco Bell's standard offerings are spicier. He stated (and I agreed) that the carrots were the most dominant flavor of the dish. Overall, I was expecting more based on the reviews that I saw here, but it was overall lacking in flavor. Neither of us finished our meals because of this blandness. read more

This is really good food. I rarely eat fast food, but this is different. The noodle and vegetable dishes are very tasty and flavorful. The cabbage is crisp, not soggy and a bowl is large and filling. Today I tried a Bahn Mi sandwich and was very pleased. I asked to see the sandwich bun first because I am leary of soft, mushy bread with poor texture. The bun was perfect! It was lightly warmed and crisped, not soggy, and not so hard that it hurt the roof of your mouth. The filling was generous and very good and the Schriracha mayo is so yummy! I will continue to eat lunch here (downtown mall). Panda Express is the only other fast food I will touch; it's very good but way too much sodium. The rice was over cooked and clumped together and though I ordered and paid for extra meat I did not get it. I have had several problems with the consistency of the food.
