Still a solid sender for Viet and other Asian fare. My first time taking a chance on a Roast Duck Half here, and it was quite good for this far inland. Wifey's Pho was a huge portion, as was my daughters combo lunch. I will advise the clean police that this family has no problem stacking/storing sundries and storage items within view of the dining area, so if that might bother you, consider a different resto. This was the first time at Vina. When we arrived it was a very small restaurant with just a couple of tables. The atmosphere was old, dark and little dirty.. The menu was extensive but a little hard to navigate so we just settled on beef Pho. For the restaurant being fairly empty it took quite a while for the pho to arrive. We ordered smalls but they brought us larges and charged us for larges as well. Luckily I was hungry so I was able to eat a majority of it. We were in the mood for some asian food and Vina was close to our AirBnB, The family ordered the usual suspects, orange chicken, Mongolian beef rice and chow mien. All of that sounded a bit heavy to me, so I went with the pho. I was a little nervous about take out pho, but threw caution to the wind. It came as an "assemble it yourself" deal, which I thought was novel. It was fun to put my bowl together and it was pretty tasty. Not bad for something I was bit worried about. A little pricey but worth it as it is the best Asian food in town. I will say there was a language barrier ordering over the phone. I ordered 2 crab Rangoon(six pieces each) and received 12 orders. The next time I ordered a side of egg rolls and that order was not in the bag when I got home because one of my dinners came with one single eggroll. Lastly, my son speaks their language and they had some horrible things to say about me and him while we were waiting for our take out order. I was the "angry white guy" and my son was "fat". He is a 285 pound linebacker for one of the local colleges. He spends hundreds of dollars there every month. He is reconsidering doing business there. read more

I ordered delivery and got the lunch special - fried rice, prawns, cashew shrimp, egg drop soup, and egg roll. Everything had a slightly weird flavor, and it was not good. Update: We've had food from here many times and always been happy. We usually do take out but last night we had Door Dash deliver it. We ordered tofu pho in chicken broth, spring rolls with peanut sauce, and hot & sour soup. $40+. The hot and sour soup was unlike any other we've had. It was light colored and had what looked like shredded tofu in it. Not very appealing but it tasted ok. The spring rolls were fresh and crunchy and the peanut sauce was good. Now, about the pho... the broth consisted of lots of water and a tiny bit of bullion (that's what it tasted like). Absolutely no taste or spices. Super disappointing and I don't know if we'll ever get it again. read more

My friend Josi put me onto Pho and let me tell ya'll, TRY IT!!! I'm so picky and this stuff is so soul nourishing. The chicken pho is basically the most delicious chicken noodle soup with extra fixins' and bone broth is so good for you in so many ways! But do not be fooled, this isn't a side dish. Even my husband has trouble eating an entire serving. I have not ate here in person though, I've only ordered from Door Dash, but since this place is right by gym, I will be coming in to visit really soon I hope!!!!! Best pho restaurant in town. I always order the 6 piece fried pot stickers, one order of fresh spring rolls, and a small beef pho with no tendon and no tripe. They make the best fried pot stickers, they come out perfectly crispy every time, with a sauce that compliments it well. I like to dip mine in a hoisin sauce and sriracha blend and then in the pot sticker sauce. The fresh spring rolls are always such a fresh companion to a hot broth of pho. The beef pho, the star. I grew up eating pho all the time, and I can honestly say their beef pho is better than my mom's. My mom makes really good pho, but theirs is consistently delicious every time. The broth is rich and salty. My mom's is different every time but still really good. The pho comes with a plate of fresh herbs, bean sprouts, jalapenos and limes. I love adding in everything. I don't add too many sauces to my broth, just a touch of hoisin, sriracha, and fish sauce. Then I like to make a sauce of hoisin and sriracha to dip my meat in to enjoy with my pho. As I write this review I'm craving a bowl right now. I can eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The broth is not only delicious but also is very good for hangovers and when your sick. read more

Vina is one of the better chinese restaurants in the city. We had a lovely girl's lunch here today, and their menu had just about everything, including vietnamese items. I enjoyed a delicious wonton soup, while my gals went for lunch combo meals. You can pick one, two or three items for the lunch and dinner meals, and they are really a bargain compared to other places in town. We have enjoyed the food here, and will come back again for sure! read more

The food can be ok at times, average PHO, but always have buyers remorse after considering the costs. Much better PHO out there in Spokane, just not as many on the North End. Staff is rude and are Scammers, if you order online to-go and add any upcharges, such as extra meat or noodles for your PHO you will always get the normal order with no benefits, they'll gladly take your extra 5.99$ for any add-ons. read more

The service was good; nothing special about the ambiance of the place, and the meal I chose really did not have much flavor to it (the sauce itself - mixed vegetables with beef, chicken, pork, shrimp, and squid). They are so rude! Seriously we went yesterday ordered a chicken pho, the chicken was old and the broth was tasteless. My mom specifically asked for cashew chicken and they brought her shrimp cashew. My mom can't eat shrimp and the lady argued with her about eating it. Just take it back !! My brother also has a bad experience a couple weeks ago, he ordered the almond chicken and could not eat it , it was all fat and grease. The lady said ok, you want a box ? I've only had Pho back home in L.A. and it too is legit, mainly because there is a lot of competition. So I was on the hunt for a place here that was good. Went in on a rainy Friday for late lunch early dinner time, and the Chicken Pho hit the spot. The Pho broth was fresh and flavorful, and not baptized. The staff is nice and friendly, and service is quick. It's a seat yourself place, menus are on the table. All the utensils and condiments are on the table,very handy, you don't have to wait for anything once your meal arrives, just dig in! I've been twice, again on a Saturday afternoon, it was pretty busy, and I was told by my friend that everything is good there. So I'll definitely be trying some of the other dishes in the future. Pricing is very good, and you get a good portion of food. So if you're a foodie and like authentic food, I'd say this is a perfect place! read more

We've been coming here for a long time, other than a good service this place ended up just being ok now. The Pho was just ok. I mean the flavor was lacking and the bone in meat wasn't tender at all. I was disappointed about this especially after coming back from Orange County where there is a Little Saigon village that serves Viet foods left and right of the street. The vegetable wasn't fresh either. Also the boba is a hit or miss. We let the server know about the meat. I hope they would do something about it. read more

Great take out! I was next door having a pedicure when hunger pangs struck. Luckily I had spotted this Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant across the driveway when I was parking. I was able to phone in my order from the chair, and then walk over 10 minutes later to pick it up in my pedicure flip flops. This garnered a few odd stares from patrons having a proper meal in the restaurant, but I didn't mind as I had a delicious meal to bring back to the hotel with me! I ordered my usual spring roll with shrimp (no pork!) and the shrimp vermicelli bowl. Everything was as expected and the fish sauce was especially tasty. When traveling away from home it's always a toss up whether the food will compare to your favorite restaurants back home, but this one proved itself to be a solid Vietnamese restaurant where you will get what you hope for! read more

I only ate here once and wow I was impressed. I ordered bun bo hue which is a Vietnamese spicy noodle dish with beef, tendon and I believe pork knuckles. It was $10 for a large and I thought it was a pretty big portion with plenty of noodles. This dish is not for people who cannot handle any spice. I have a pretty high tolerance to spicy food and found it slightly spicy. The broth was full of flavor and they had a good amount of meat in the dish. It reminded me of how my parents made it at home. I definitely recommend getting it with the thick noodles as that's the authentic way. My friend got pho and it was pretty good. Seems like this location just gives you all the meat options in one bowl including the meatballs (bo vien). The small is pretty small so I would go with a large if you're hungry. The large is similarly priced at $9.50. I can't speak much on the pho besides what I tasted but the broth was good and the meatballs are pretty good but not the way you usually see it. We love this place! I once ordered a doordash and was not fond of well....anything. I mistakenly stayed away for about a year. Recently I was checking out the newest pho reviews. Like most places, trying in person is a great starting point. I took my child and away we went. It was lunch time and though we arrived with just one other table occupied, soon every table had guests and the take out orders were so frequent I'm not sure the door closed longer than about 5 minutes. My son had a combination lunch which he really liked. I had some really nice pho and we both ordered bubble tea smoothies. While there we saw a poster about hot pot. We have been looking for some version of hot pot for ages. We've now gone twice for hot pot. It is SO GOOD! Everyone who works there is so quick about getting it set up then letting us enjoy a really pleasant bonding and eating experience. I was unsure about the price to food ratio. Not anymore! It is a per person price and rightly so. We both got so full both times and did not finish. We keep trying though! It really feels fun to prepare your own little pho serving and to see which combinations work. I discovered I like it really spicy but it felt low risk to try it in a small bowl without risking my whole lunch before I committed. We will be back often! Came here for lunch. I was crestfallen when I walked in and the first thing I saw was congealing panda express-style "Chinese food" with ladles sitting in it by a cash register. Do not panic: they have an actual menu with actual Vietnamese food. And even though the grocery store deli type offerings by the door look fetid, the food was actually very fresh. Warmed up with an order of spring rolls split between my friend and I: soft noodles, fresh greens, and not skimpy at all with the pork and shrimp, with a savory-sweet peanut dipping sauce. Next we both opted for the vermicelli bowl, and let me tell ya: *fire emoji. Julienned cucumber, radish, carrot with mint and basil over lettuce and soft rice noodles. As I mentioned before, everything was wonderfully fresh. The bowl featured some bahn mi-style grilled pork with a hint of sweetness and crunchy egg rolls jammed with pork and noodles. This all came with a side of vinegar sauce, which I dumped into my food right off the bat. My meal came to about $11, and I only finished about 70% of my vermicelli. WARNING I took the rest of my food home: the eggroll completely disintegrated. Make sure you eat that fresh. read more
