Unfortunately this was a disappointing experience overall. The teriyaki chicken was very salty, and the mac salad had a strange sour taste that was hard to get past. The one bright spot was the kalua pulled pork, which was actually really good and tender. Sadly, it wasn't enough to save the meal. Probably wouldn't return, aside from the pulled pork. read more

Oh the food here was amazing. If you haven't found this place yet and you're from the Spokane area you are missing out. We stopped here to pick up food to take for a group of 8 to the hospital. I let them know the situation and he took care of us. Arranged a special order that was easy to grab in a hospital setting and he even added an extra spam musubi, mac salad, and large portions for the group. I got the Garlic chicken with soy garlic yakisoba noodles and mac salad. The macaroni salad definitely hit the spot! The noodles were perfectly cooked and the sauce was nice and flavorful. The chicken pieces were a great size but very salty... this was compounded by the very salty yakisoba noodles too. However, both had great flavor and I loved the garlic. We passed them on the way to an appointment and looked them up online, decided to go in and have them for lunch. Very clean and welcoming facility, the establishment has a nice vibe to it with the music and the decor. Good amount of seating too. The staff was very nice and helpful, food was amazing and generous portions. Highly recommend and we will be coming back. Asked for 3 pc masubi the guy said we only have two right now is that okay? I said yes but I'm pretty sure he still charged me for the 3pc and I got a scoop of Mac salad. My Masubi tasted horrible was hard premade what seemed like days ago and tasted like the sea. my Mac salad was sour and not like a normal Hawaiian Mac salad and I got a canned drink. The best thing I got was the canned drink. Also the teriyaki tasted like it had soap in it. Two spam masubis one scoop of mac and a canned drink $20. I will not be returning. read more

Nice ambiance in the place and the music being played makes you feel like you're on the islands. Tried the 2 item plate with Kalua pork and Katsu chicken while my wife tried the Garlic chicken 1 item plate. If you like Hawaiian teriyaki this might be the place for you! Portions are huge! I had the combo of teriyaki chicken and katsu chicken and literally could only eat about half. I had 3 others with me who were all in their 20's and can pack the food away, but they all needed to go boxes as well. Located off of Grand Ave just behind Sacred Heart Hospital, so easy to get to. I am not an authority on Hawaiian food but I've eaten enough of it to know when it's good. Let me tell you, this is GOOD. Not too busy on a Thursday night so service was very fast. My go to is always the Kalua pork and Katsu chicken. Both here are excellent! The other half of the plate lunch is always the rice and macaroni salad. Here, you have a choice of noodles or rice and I opted for the former and don't regret it. The Mac salad... on point! Decent value, too. Almost more food than one person can eat. read more

First I will start with I am from Hawai'i and love to eat lol I'm going to be brutally honest. I did see a review that said "and there was a lot of rice" hahahahhaa that's the norm for a proper plate lunch. Anyhoo. I had the Loco Moco. It was great. Pretty much what I would find back home at L&L or something. I'm not a fan of onions and celery in Mac salad usually but this one was pretty good. Mac salad is a tough one to nail, I've tried, but they succeeded. Hubby had the Katsu/Kalua pork plate sub yakisoba instead of rice. Katsu was really good, but didn't need the second sauce drizzled on top, maybe put sauces on the side like back home? Kalua pork was good, but had maybe a touch too much liquid smoke. Cabbage would go great in it. The yakisoba was to be desired. Though husband and I probably compare it to fried noodles back home and it's not the same, kind of mushy. However overall it was great. Pricey.... But it's a lot of food lol. We'll definitely go back. read more

The first night we came here, we about an hour prior to closing. My SO wanted katsu chicken but they were out and that's all he wanted so we ended up leaving next-door to get poke. We went back a few days later and he got the plate with katsu chicken with the side of the vegetables for me. Five stars for katsu chicken because he absolutely loved it. Two words: Mochiko Chicken! Get it!!! It's as close to the islands that I have found in the Spokane area. I recommend topping with the Pele Aioli, soooo good! Also worth trying is the Spam and cheese sliders, my heart doesn't want to like them but my mouth says, "Shut up and enjoy!". The only reason this place isn't 5 stars is in my mind is they are slow with the service, but if you order ahead of time and pick it up they will text when it's ready. All the other places we wanted to go had a long wait so we ended up here and all ordered plate lunches, the building is a sister company to a brewery so we were told we could go sit over there and they would bring the food to us which was great! I'm too full from that and might have food coma I also ordered coconut shrimp because many people recommend that, and it's the best!!! Crispy tempura coating around sweet shrimp, then creamy mayo drizzle and dried coconut. I never regretted ordering it and would do it again next time I'm here! Overall, highly recommend!!!

The seasoning was bland and watered down, from the extra veggies. The portion for $18 and less broccoli and beef was depressing. The bowl was the same size as my small hand. The mango green tea was fair. I wasn't asked about my sugar preference. The tea was sweet, but still good. The boba was chewy and slightly sweet, super happy it wasn't tasteless and firm. I wouldn't come back for broccoli beef. I might come back to try something else. The prices were high for the quality and portions.
