The Staff was super awesome and I placed my order and I felt like we didn't sit long to get our orders. We got our orders and the food smelled delicious and awesome so we dug in. I loved the little cucumber salad it was like a pallett cleanser and the little mac salad was pretty good as well. The sauce for the noodles was just super awesome and I ordered chicken as my protein and was cooked to perfection and the noodles didn't seem over or under done. Everything complimented each other and just even smelling the dish put the entire playe together. If you're going to be in the Spokane area, run and don't walk to Island style food & bbq you will not regret it and you'll get your moneys worth as well.

We had the chicken and the tofu phad thai respectively. A 2 and a 3 spicy level. The 3 was perfect. They tasted great. The additions and garnishes completed the dish. A couple thai ice teas and it was a marvelous meal. The price was less than most of the other more well known Thai places in Spokane. The inside was decorated very nicely but the place was pretty small. Go early or be prepared for a wait.

We ordered Penang curry with beef and Pad see ew w/chicken to go. The noodles in the Pad see ew, were thick egg-like noodles, the broccoli was cooked to death, and the flavor was lacking. The Penang beef was also very poor. The beef was tough and chewy and the peppers were mush. We were starving and should have liked anything, but unfortunately both the taste and quality did not meet our expectations based on the reviews. We'll stick with Kuni's- the Thai restaurant down the road, from now on.

I think it's unnecessary to be entertained and checking on excessively, we dine at restaurants for the food, after all. Servers were here to help facilitate that process, and for many others. Our table were checked in on just enough times to make sure we had everything we needed and they were very polite:) One note on reservation: we went at lunch time on a weekend, I actually booked ahead of time. All 3 courses were not good at all start 1st with the shrimp. The shrimp was cooked to tough. They were stuck on the skewers and were not easy to remove. The shrimp also was not cleaned and deveined properly. I would rate it a 1 out of 10. The blackened salmon was decent but the risotto that came with it was salty and had hard pieces of rice mixed that were not thoroughly cooked. I'd give it a 3 out 10 just cause the salmon was decent. The jalapeno cilantro infused fettuccini Alfredo sounds like it would be excellent but it was lacking flavor and the plate presentation was sloppy. The dish could have been good but it was lacking flavor and I'd rate it a 3 out of 10. The huckleberry berry shortcake was not good at all the biscuits say they were made from scratch but the tasted store bought and old and the lemon sorbet with the Rosina amaro pairing tasted like medicine. The two 3rd course desserts were the icing on a horrible dinner for restaurant week. Not sure if I'll ever go back to this restaurant.
