I really don't like to leave reviews like this, but I spoke with the staff and gave them every opportunity to make things right and they did not. I picked this place for lunch because they're yelp reviews were high. It checked every bad box on the list other than the server was polite enough. Upon sitting down, I realized that I had probably ordered in the wrong place. The floor was dirty. Tables were dirty. There was a half empty 100 gallon fish tank with nothing but green slime in it. No music, dirty windows with dirty, handprints all over them Every single container of sauce on my table was caked with food and all the chrome napkin holders were filthy. When my meal came, my basil, was actually dead and black on half the leaf. I asked for More and they said they had no more for me. I was so grossed out halfway through. I couldn't finish my meal and the person I was with said that their stirfry was pretty bad. My pho soup had very little flavor? I have never had to add salt to pho. My $15 bowl of pho. It should've been top end for that price. I asked for tea and they actually brought me straight up dirty tea cups?! The waitress apologized and said the chef was gone on vacation, but did not offer any discount on the meal that I didn't even eat. Again, really sorry I had to write this. Hubby and I are in town for the weekend and decided to DoorDash because we caught the cold and stayed in the hotel for the day. Took over 2 hours to receive my order. That's them preparing the food and dasher delivering it. Then came the food and I was so mad and disappointed they put pork chop on my order instead of beef short ribs. My husband doesn't eat pork. First time here. We're from out of town and we love our local pho place and love trying new ones. The restaurant is pretty out dated we weren't sure if the business was still open at first. We ordered the Vietnamese sandwich, grilled pork vermicelli and the beef pho with steak. Vietnamese sandwiches aka Banh Mi are known for their crunchy flaky bread. That crunch is what makes the sandwich. Sadly this was just warm bread. No pate and the grilled pork was more like teriyaki it was drowning in some sort of sweet sauce. The vermicelli was grilled pork same saucy pork as the sandwich. It had an odd taste. Like when meat gets old it just has that old flavor to it. Had me mentally knocking on wood it won't come back to visit later on. The beef pho was really bland. You should be able to enjoy the broth without having to add to it. It had a watered down flavor and needed to be loaded with chili oil and sriracha just to give it any flavor. The service was fine. Nothing amazing. Just sad the food was such a let down. read more

First of let me say this place is for sure a different vibe. There is no music, which is weird, the tables aren't always wiped down, and it's a little dirty. THE FOOD- IS AMAZING!! My partner and I go at least 3 times a month and always get the house special! We recently went and got the Hot Pot meal which was so good, just being able to reheat your meal as you eat it! (Which is great with this cold weather!) I think it's just one family that runs it, it's usually the same 3 women running the show! Would highly recommend if you want some yummy Pho! read more

The food I got should get a two star but I appreciate having more variety of food in Spokane. Plenty of parking. The owner is friendly but didn't wear a mask. Fast service. However, the food was mediocre. I ordered bun bo hue but it didn't taste like one at all. It didn't even look like one. My bun bo hue came with pho noodle. Maybe they couldn't get the right type of noodle that day and I am fine with that if that was the case. Secondly, the broth looked and tasted like pho broth. My friends ordered regular pho and my broth looked just like theirs except mine had some red on top. And then, the stuff they put in my bun bo hue basically had nothing to do with bun bo hue and a lot of important ingredients were missing. The portion was small and the food looked and tasted bland. The best restaurant in Spokane! I've been taking my kids there for years and the quality has never slipped. They just keep getting better. They're really good at helping you find your perfect heat level and their food always has a wonderful depth. I'm obsessed with their pho and my kids will beg for their fabulous salt and pepper squid The only thing better than the food itself is the customer service. I called and spoke with the manager and she was rude told me to come to yelp and it was not her problem I didn't have anything at my house. You'd miss it if you weren't looking for it. I think it used to be a Pizza Hut. Don't make the mistake of skipping this place. Best pho I've had in a long time. The broth is clean and bright, not overwhelmed by star anise like a lot of them, and is perfectly balanced. My son got the beef teriyaki, which is easily one of the best teriyaki dishes I've had. They make their own teriyaki sauce. It's nice and light, not heavy, sugary, and syrupy. The vegetables were cooked perfectly, nice and crisp but not raw, very generous portion. Very pleasant staff. Well this has become our regular pho place. It's right by our house and we can always count on quick service with a smile. We get take out 99% of the time, the owner is just hilarious and makes my day with his "dad jokes." I always order my meat on the side and heat up my broth to pour over and cook it at home. I would not be discouraged by the building because it was clean inside and the restaurant practiced covid regulations (distanced tables, masked individuals, disposable cups/utensils). It pains me to write this review because I have enjoyed both the food and hospitality at this establishment for years, but I must do this because we are living in times that health and sanitation are of utmost concern. My last visit was shocking. It appears that the owner has allowed the dining room to be turned into some sort of half as daycare for employee/family children. The dining room is 3/4 cleared of tables and chairs to be replaced by children playing with toy cars on the filthy floor. I should have left as soon as I was put off by that sight, but I chose to stay and place my order. Then I made a trip to the bathroom. The bathroom was a nightmare. Well, to be honest it always has been, but this time was different. Besides being the usual dirty, the door no longer locks, so anyone can walk in while you are sitting there taking a dookie. It smells like there is some sort of sewer backup issue. The urinal no longer flushes and there is a container next to it used to fill with water and flush it after use. This is serious Health Dept. inspection sort of stuff. I returned to my table horrified. The food began to arrive. My guest and I began to sample. Everything tasted off. The meatball in my pho, which usually tastes divine, was rancid. Nothing is worse that meat products that have gone off. Needless to say, we walked out and will never return. read more

Absolutely amazing pho! So happy my partner and I stopped here on our trip down from Canada. We had the vegetarian and shrimp pho, as well as the crab rangoon. Large sizes were truly large, broth was amazingly clear, flavourful, and well made (no scum or fat floating on top, good sign of quality broth). Ingredients were all fresh and the noodles were perfectly cooked. We pulled up to the restaurant and it looked exactly how I expect any 5 star (in my books) restaurant to look. There were no frills inside or out, and heading in the decor made me feel at ease. Located in a square basic building on a highway, we walked in to see simple seats and tables, with large lovely fish tanks in the back. The owner greeted us with the most welcoming and bubbly energy I've ever experienced. He sat us immediately and services was quick. Bottles of Sriracha and Hoisin were opened recently. The food came out quickly too, and I knew from one bite that this place was 11/10. I just had two orders of thai style wings, one pho, and one teriyaki chicken delivered for $55. This is hands down the worst restaurant food I have had in the last four years. The wings were legs with most of the meat trimmed off and then overcooked. I intended to share this dish but. I thing of substance was delivered. The teriyaki chicken looked like the exact meat trimmed off the legs. It tasted like onions and unclean soy sauce pan grease. No fat and the meat was all extremely tough. DELICIOUS. Absolutely incredible. I had never been here - it was just a spontaneous desire after a long road trip and I saw the Pho sign and went right inside. The menu is simple and there are all the authentic choices. I chose the popular chicken pho and it came with shrimp, pork, and a chicken leg. I ordered the spring rolls too. All of this was to go and while waiting I enjoyed a vietnamese milk coffee. The coffee was really really tasty. For a Monday at 5pm, I was the only person in the restaurant so I got to just chill and take in the place. Not anything great in terms of decor but it just smelled delicious and everything was hand made and delicious. Getting home, I also purchased a soup bowl because ramens and soups and things have become a hobby and I am super into the shallow soup bowls that these restaurants have. They had no issue letting me buy a bowl. Score! The food was great. The broth was flavorful and piping hot. That review is very unfair to the owners of this restaurant and I hope you will remove it. You must not have eaten authentic pho before. The meat should always be set aside raw, just like how this restaurant packs it for take-out. You don't want them cooking the meat first then packing it for you to heat up later at home. With authentic pho, the meat needs to be cooked right before you eat it to taste fresh & tender. We're pho soup snobs and have eaten this soup in many authentic Vietnamese soup places in CA, this restaurant packs it right. Please don't write a review to criticize them because if they change their method, you'll cause them to Americanize this soup and you won't experience it the way it should be. That would be a shame, let's encourage more authentic cuisine in Spokane and relish in the diversity and quality it brings. Here's how to heat up Pho soup to go. 1. Pour broth into a pot and bring it to just near boil, reduce heat. 2. Put noodles in a large soup bowl and pop it in the microwave for about 50 seconds. 3. Once noodles are warm, pour hot broth into bowl. 4. Leave a little broth in the pot, take the raw beef and put it in the pot to quickly cook. Once meat is cooked, 5. Place the cooked meat into soup. 6. Garnish with the green onions 7. Squeeze in fresh lime, add a few slices of serrano chilis & basil **We like our beef cooked so that it's slightly pink, when it's overcooked the texture becomes tough. See pic below, even though the meat looks quite pink, the broth is very hot and it will continue to cook the meat further when I push it down into the soup. That's a way to not over cook the meat.
