We came two days in a row because their pho is so unbelievably good. We've had A LOT of pho in many different places, and this ranks among the best of the best. I don't usually drink too much broth because I am worried about getting thirsty afterward, but their pho broth is PERFECT. Not over seasoned and not bland. Noodles are the right consistency. Owner is really nice and you can tell many of those picking up in the COVID-19 era are regulars. I've had their house special rice, lemon grass chicken rice, and the special fried noodle and this review is driven by the average (rounded up) of those three dishes. My favorite of the three is the lemon grass chicken. Solid flavor with lots of chicken, onions, lemon grass, and of course rice. Make it spicier and its even better. For the special rice dish, I found myself fighting with the short ribs and just tasted ok but a fried egg and fish sauce makes everything better. Least favorite with special fried noodles. Kinda dirty and grimy looking was my first impression walking in the door. Even the aquarium was dirty. It was well after any lunch rush and tables ect should have been cleaned up. I do judge on cleanliness. The table I sat myself at had been wiped off but still had some residue. The siracha and hoisin bottles were sticky. I used a napkin to hold both, and the napkin stuck firmly. The service was prompt and courteous and the beef and balls pho came out quickly. The pho was good. Flavorful broth and plenty of meat. The only thing to comment on was a lack of noodles! Maybe the only time I've run out of noodles before the meat was gone. They must have been low on balls though. What a pleasant surprise. Let me preface this review by saying that I'm Vietnamese and regularly cook pho. With the limited options for good Vietnamese food in Spokane I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food here turned out to be. We ordered the number 50 Korean short rib with eggs and salad. I would give it 5 out of 5. The rice could be a bit more moist, but that's just me. The pho is very aligned with the taste of it's clientele. My husband loved it. He actually said he preferred it to mine (he's a brave man) because it's not as aromatic with spices. The owner and waitstaff were both genuinely kind and accommodating. I've been to several pho restaurants here in Spokane, and I must say their Pho here is a lot tastier compared to the other restaurants. Their sign out side says "best Pho in town" and they are not lying! Don't be fooled of the exterior look of the building, in side is very clean to include the rest rooms. They have some high end fishes in their aquarium, that the kids are fascinated to look at while you wait for your food. The Staff are friendly, minimal staff but the service is outstanding! I can't even count how many times my family and I has been here, it's just our favorite place. Even unfamiliar friends that we took to this place loved it. UPDATE: back again today! This is my first review on Yelp. We are from the Seattle/Bellevue area where prices are high and service is low. Service was so astounding that it would be a crime not to give it a review. We had a party of 15 with no reservations and was assisted promptly. As soon as we sat down the waiter (I'm assuming owner) brought out spring rolls, egg rolls and potstickers for the kids....ON THE HOUSE! Who the heck does that with the insanely high inflation prices these days? To my surprise, food came out faster than expected; especially with a big party without a reservation. Amazing Vietnamese food! My gf and I had the Pho (14) to-go and usually I hate to-go Pho but they actually did an amazing job! They separated the Pho broth (which was super delicious btw) and the noodles so it wouldn't be super starchy when we got home. Also got the spring rolls with an awesome peanut sauce and fried crab wontons which were also tasty but smaller than the wontons I'm used to. Boba was good but a bit icey, should've asked them to blend it more. This place serves very delicious food! I'm Vietnamese and I can honestly say that the pho broth here is soooo good. FULL of flavor, which is what we want in a tasty broth! I think it was the owner who served us (not 100% sure, but pretty positive that it was) however, he was extremely friendly and with him being the only person working at the time we visited, he still delivered great service! BUT I can't say how disappointing and also concerning my visit here was. I found an ENORMOUS piece of plastic in my pho. Their apology was lackluster, insincere and their overall reasoning for why this happened was sketchy and unclear. There were flies everywhere which paired with plastic make me concerned for the hygiene of this place. After all this, they still charged for my food. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Where do I begin. We ordered two orders of fresh rolls and got one. This was before we got one of our coffees. The first iced coffee came out seperately with no straw, then the second iced coffee we ordered came out with the meal and had a straw? No big deal. But really inconsistent service. Went home and got really sick. Pretty sure I got food poisoning. Looked up some reviews and to my surprise, or not rather, this place is foul. The business seemed to have hired a new server (or at least I had never seen her before) and she did not provide the service I expected. First, she took 20 minutes to take our order when there were only two other tables sat in the restaurant and also sat on her phone. Second, we requested bubble tea and she informed us that her blender was broken. However that turned out to be false as I saw other people receive blended drinks. Pros: Great prices, great food, and a good menu to select from. The pho is excellent and flavorful and they offer more than one broth style. Vegetables are fresh, and once ordered the food comes out fairly quickly. Cons: The inside reminds me of a restaurant you may visit in a fallout game. To say that this place is dated and needs some TLC for the interior is a an understatement! Unfortunately between this and the laid back atmosphere of the place; you'll start picking out little cleanly snafus immediately. Whether it's a little sauce on the bottle, sticky spots on the floors, or the fact that it feels like you're still sitting in the gutted pizzahut that use to be there, you'll notice. Conclusion: I'd be willing to try this place again, and I do believe that the pho is good. But if my second trip still gave me the "is this place clean" feeling; there probably would not be a third. read more

This is the second time I've been here, I do agree that the place could use a good cleaning. However after I ordered and I'm starting to eat I noticed that the shafts or cooks and the waitress are all coughing which gave me a huge oh feeling as I just got over the flu and I'm not in any hurry to get it again. So when you are ill, coughing, sneezing or generally not feeling well I think it's probably a good idea that you do not go in to work. Especially if you are in food service. So I hope that I do not pick up what ever it is that they were trying to share with me. I think the food is good and the price is appropriate however if I'm knocked over with the flu I'm not going to be a happy camper. A year later: Great food as always, but the place is still in need of a good cleaning. Most of the napkin holders were empty, sticky, and covered with fingerprints which is sort of gross. The girl apologized for the messy place saying that she was trying to clean up - a few minutes later I see her sitting down eating. That doesn't look like cleaning up to me. The owner mopped the same area of the floor three times while I was there, I guess he didn't realize we do not eat off the floor and perhaps the time would be better spent cleaning tables which by the way do not get adequately cleaned by using a spritz of window cleaner Ugh All that being said, the food is still incredibly good here. Five star, best customer service hands down. There are a few pho places in Spokane but this one seems to be one of the very few that had dine in. My fam and I stopped here while on our road trip since we were hungry. Customer service was beyond excellent. The food was so amazing.
