First time here by suggestion. There were 7 adults, 2 kids with us. Great selection of food. They had a big table to accommodate us. Our server was great but there was an error in one of our entree. 1 member in our party stays away from dairy and asked his burrito to have no cheese and no sour cream. It was served with both. Unfortunately he was the last one served and everyone had started eating. It took a minute to get our server's attention. She apologized and had them redo the burrito. Not sure if she put it in incorrectly or if the kitchen made the mistake. The Sergio burrito is $15.50 but add meat is $2 more. We got the taco boat which was a fun item to get and filling. Shared among 2 people. Kids basic entrees with no meat is $10. With 2 people shared entree and 1 beer, the cost was $125 before tip. We would definitely come back again. read more

Was at De Leon's this week, Tuesday evening as the 99218 area code was out of electricity. There was an excessive amount of people finding establishments to eat. I felt like the staff did the best they could put was overwhelmed. The service was slow. The chips were stale, and the food was adequate. It will be a while before I go back again. read more

In my previous review we had excellent service and food. This time not so much. While the food was excellent, the service was pretty lacking. One bowl of chips with no offer for more, drinks were only refilled once (which is precisely how many times we saw the waitress). Most of the evening our glasses remained empty. Maybe it was because we were outside with a handful of others, not sure. The indoor part of the restaurant had several empty tables, so it wasn't that they were just trying to keep up with a big crowd. Either way a bit disappointing. The food on the other hand was very good. My 'ol standby, chimichangas, were fantastic, and my wife says the taquitos were very good as well. Reserved a table for 20 a month ago for a work project celebration. Arrived and they had an indoor space set up, it was the first warm day so our team asked if we could sit outside since no one was out there. They were so patient with us and accommodating and set up tables outside. I know it was a huge inconvenience, so it is appreciated. The server was super friendly and came by the table a lot to make sure we had water, chips, and salsa. We all ordered margaritas and four of the shareable platters. It's a bit pricy but I believe it's worth it to go here compared to other Mexican places local because all the ingredients seemed super fresh, the beans and rice were not overly greasy like most Mexican places make them. DeLeon's is always a great place for tasty Mexican food. There is always plenty of food and they are sensitive to those not wanting too much heat on their food or salsa. The Sergio's Carne Asada Plate is delicious, the grilled skirt steak very tasty and for some reason the roasted salted jalapeño, despite it hotness was perfect with the steak. I enjoyed it greatly. Don't go to this location. Go to the South Hill one or the market up North. Their servings here are waaaaay smaller and not as good. The food was decent but nothing worth screaming for. I can get better tacos at a small taco truck downtown to be completely honest. The margarita flights... NOT worth the money. They were so sweet and could not taste any alcohol we had to order extra shots to put in our flights which made them even more expensive after already being $20. Yikes. The service was good, our server was really funny and nice but service was veryyyy slow and we sat there in total for almost 2 hours with a party of 5. I've ordered De Leona through food delivery and thought the food was okay but over priced for delivery so I thought why not support the business and go fine in right? NOPE THATS WHERE IT WENT WRONG. And I should have known that mediocre "Mexican food" meant the service would be abdominal and it was! Me and my roomate went into the restaurant yesterday June 26th between 8pm and 9 pm and immediately as we walked in were met with unwelcoming looks. My roommate who has a disability tried to communicate that he wanted to sit at the bar to have a drink and look at the me since we usually order from food delivery and the menue and prices tend to differ. As we sat at the bar the staff comes up and says you can order to go but my boss (Collin) said we can serve you! I was initially dumbfounded because we were provided no reason nor did the manager come and talk to us and I would ask that you pull all you security feed and see that he was in No way disrespectful or disruptive. I really don't understand and the restaurant did not apologize. My roomate was so embarrassed that he just wanted to leave and I think that's what made me the most upset. Lack up communication and empathy from this place lead to my roomate feeling so bad he wanted to leave. And we did! a place that treats you like a criminal for wanting to support thier business makes no sense. ATTENTION!!!! No vengan a este restaurante si son mexicanos ! I love DeLeons'. Any location, every location, they are all good. I had a burrito at the Market on Sprague last time and it was perfect.

We decided to go to this place and try the hard shell tacos, we arrive and sit down in the patio- they again seem short staffed so it took about 10 minutes to get our drink order taken- the server was also the bartender- very nice and person, he cleaned our table and quickly came back with water, chips and salsa. We ended up ordering the taco boat with 5 hardshell shredded beef and 5 soft mixed between shredded chicken and carnitas...they were very tasty with the green salsa they brought- over all a good place...not dwelling on how slow it was to get served considering the situation with the Covid! read more
