The Mothership for the Gerardo name in our metro. We love ours in Cheney, but we were camping nearby, so... Flavors are very consistent, between the three restos, so expect the expected. I greatly enjoy the way they spice every single dish the make. Wifey lives by the Fajita Mix, and I cross my fingers for being able to finish off what she doesn't manage. This is close to home and a place that I really enjoy. It's not for everyone to be sure, but it makes me happy to dive in to a burrito or in this case, a chimichanga, every now and again. The place has always been clean and tidy when I've been in. Burritos are huge as is the chimi. In fact I weighed the #20 and it came in at just over 3lbs of food. More than I can handle. Is it outstanding food? No. Is it a great value for the price and taste decent at the same time? Yes. There are others like it locally, but these guys are just a step up in quality. I love this little place! It is a comfy cantina style atmosphere, and the employees are very friendly. Your food is also done really fast. I have tried several items on the menu and they all have been good so far. I really like their horchata as well. Ordered our dinner from here, which we do pretty often, and was very disappointed. We ordered two carne asada plates, a chili relleno burrito, two sides of rice and beans, a quesadilla, and a side of chips with pico. My husband picked up our order and then came home only to find that the quesadilla and burrito were both missing. He had to drive the ten minutes all the way back, and of course he wasn't given a receipt so he didn't have one. The employee at first stated that there was never a quesadilla ordered, which was incorrect, and that they must have forgotten the burrito. Then after a few minutes, he came back and told my husband that he had to pay for the burrito since they think the gave it to us. WHY would he drive the ten minutes back while his food got cold to get another burrito? So ridiculous! Never going back and very disgusted. read more

I would say 90% of the time I'm thrilled about this place. You get great portions, decent price, made to order as far as I can tell. Even a quesadilla is big, and filling. There have been a couple times though, it was a bit dirty guys. I don't know if it's when certain people working or what. One time it smelled awful, and there were flys. That was the last time I went in. Not sure what happened, but that was just a turn off for me. I need to give you guys another chance. I've had great service and food more often then not. And .. One of the tastiest salsa bars in the area with unlimited chips if you order a burrito. Get the adobada chimichanga. Squeeze two limes into some hot sauce. Use them on the burrito. After reading so many great reviews of this place, we stopped for a late lunch. It's quite dark when you go in and the only menu is on the top of a wall. With it being so dark, I couldn't even see what they had. The person at the counter wasn't any help. We finally managed to order the carnitas plate and a taco. There was a charge of 99 cents for "guacamole". The beans were pretty bland but tasted house made and the rice was pretty standard. The carnitas were wonderful - crispy as requested. The taco was pretty greasy even though the meat was shredded beef. Actually the shell was so hard that when I took a bite the whole shell fell apart. My very biggest disappointment was what they call "guacamole". It was a very thin creamy green sauce with no flavor. And to charge for it is ridiculous. There are so many good Mexican restaurants in Spokane I doubt we'll ever go back. read more

GREAT FOOD. Large portions. Extremely filling. They're not stingy on meat! Had their food both from drive through and from delivery and it holds up well eating it a little later on. Comes with sides of red and green salsas which are both very mild. Be aware prices went up a little bit from some of the older photos of the menu on Yelp. Drive through can take 5-10 minutes but honestly can't complain because the food is always amazing and well packaged read more

Came for the hashbrown breakfast burrito at 10am on a saturday, no line! It was packed with meat, under $10 and i could tell it was made fresh. Great customer service, i will definitely be driving through again soon. Show this place some love! read more

I am sure they are trying but not there yet. I had the Carne Asada burrito just meat no sauce, rice, lettuce, sour cream, just meat. About a pound of it. It came to the table in a paper wrap.. No plate no silverware There were help yourself chips and salsa up front. The chip tray was 2x3 inches would hold 8-10 chips salsa cup considerably too small to dip a chip into. I love small business. I go out of my way to support them. I wish them well perhaps my critique will be an asset. read more

Well, my California burrito had a long hair inside of it. I had ordered 2 California burritos, and 1 chicken burrito for a late night dinner for my kids and myself. When I got home and settled into bed I started in eating my California burrito. Part way into it I was chewing and discovered a long hair in my mouth. I reached and extracted it along with the clump of food hanging from it, as seen in the photo. So I called Gerardo's to complain about the hair. The lady that answered sounded more offended than concerned about the fact that I found a hair. She never said sorry, she just said I could come get a new one right now if I wanted to, however it was 10pm, and I told her it was to late and I was in bed. She said she would allow me to swing tomorrow only to get a replacement. But only the next day. She took my name and number, and I said I wasn't sure if I would be able to come in. She said she would only offer the replacement the next day. How is that for service for my neighborhood restaurant. I'm only 1 block away. They should have just put a note that they owed me a burrito and allowed me to choose when I claimed the time to redeem it. It was their hair in my burrito in the first place. read more

I never ever leave reviews and bad ones at that but I am so upset with my experience that I feel compelled to. Really wanted to try this place out with my family tonight but the person who was taking our orders was extremely rude and passive. I was ignored multiple times and it was quite obvious my order was not wanting to be taken for whatever reason. I love Gerardo's rolled tacos so much. I was ordering from Atilanos for awhile and they just don't compare. The cheese is never melted on the rolled tacos at Atilanos. Gerardo's never misses on this. They also don't serve their rolled tacos with a heaping pile of lettuce on top as Atilanos does. (Maybe that is a preference for some, not for me. It completely takes over the rolled tacos and makes them soggy faster) thank you Gerardo's for doing rolled tacos right. Will continue to order them from you guys!!! read more

This is the most recent picture of the Menu with the updated prices :) it's still cheaper than other mexican places and this is THE PLACE . Just make sure you specify you want rice IN your burrito or else they'll put it on the side or not include it at all... it's super hard to get a hold of them by phone, and if you do, the wait is FOR EVER. So let me start off by saying that the chicken fajitas were very tasty. They were kinda stingy with the beans but plenty of rice. The tortillas were ripped but I made due with them. So here's the downside. The inside of the place was ratty. Food on the floor and almost every table I wanted to sit at. I even had to wipe down the table I chose. Almost all the seats were frayed and had duct tape on them. The paint was worn off, the windows were dirtyyyy! The cashier was stocking the drink cooler but should have been cleaning tables and floor. Nasty. And my standards are kinda low being single and living alone but come on....,... Looking for place to get breakfast burritos and the place did not disappoint. Took a while to get order taken but two person operation at 11 on a Saturday. It was worth waiting for someone to take our order. Hubby got sausage breakfast burrito which is difficult to find as most places offer chorizo. I got bacon breakfast burrito. The burritos are huge. Enough for 2 meals. 2 burritos and a large Jamaica drink was about $18. Salsa offered and adds the right kick. Support local. We will probably be back next time we are in Spokane. read more

All I can say is their chicken tacos are the the best! Generous amount of flavorful chicken fills a crunchy shell with lettuce and cheese, and the green sauce has the right amount of heat.
