I really wanted to like this place, I really did. It seems like a cute local business whose heart is in the right place and had great reviews on Yelp. I am also reluctant to write this review for fear of sounding like a b*otch, but I feel like I should truthfully speak about my experience with Clean Apple NYC as it can be very difficult to find the right cleaners and I want people to be as informed as possible before looking into such a costly service. I've emailed them the comments you are about to read below over a month ago and have never heard back from them- not an explanation, or an apology- nothing. Because they haven't attempted to mitigate my disappointment in their services in the past 46 days, I feel like it's now appropriate to post a review. First off, I spoke to a very nice lady on the phone to set up my deep cleaning. She had me text her my email address so she could send a confirmation email. ALMOST EVERY DETAIL IN THE CONFIRMATION EMAIL WAS WRONG. They got my name wrong, the service I was to receive wrong, the date of the service wrong, etc. It was actually ridiculous. The only 2 details they got right were my exact address and the cost of the service. Most rational people would take this as a bad sign and probably cancel their appointment as attention to detail is quite important in a deep clean job. However, like I said, I really, really wanted to like this place and give it a chance. My cleaner shows up on time but tells me he will have a cleaning partner arriving shortly. An hour into his clean he says "I guess my partner won't be showing up." After the cleaning, I emailed Clean Apple NYC about this and they said "The number of cleaners we send depends on the size and difficulty of the home. For example, we would send two cleaners for deep cleaning to an apartment with two bathrooms or three bedrooms. Our cleaner should be more than capable of providing detailed cleaning for an apartment of your size. Of course we try our best to cater to the needs of our clients and welcome any constructive comments." What you are about to read next is my response and the bulk of my review. "Hi Jessica, Thanks for letting me know. I was not completely satisfied with the service because the cleaning wasn't as "deep" as I imagined. I was happy with the way he cleaned the sinks, the bathroom shelves, and our toilet plunger and pleasantly surprised his service included cleaning the trash can. He was also very good at making the bed. But after I saw that the grouting between the bathroom tiles around my bathtub were still discolored, I brought it to my cleaner's attention. He said it was impossible to clean and then I had to tell him that I've cleaned them several times before and I know it can easily be done. I then sprayed the tiles for him with our bathroom cleaner to make his job easier. I also had to clean the stove again after he left because it was not nearly as white as I usually make it. This was disappointing because I expected a cleaning professional to be more knowledgable than me about how to clean things. Other slight disappointments include the fact that my roommate noticed our microwave handle was still dirty. I also had to wipe down and dust the top surface of my kitchen cart as that hadn't been attended to (I know the cleaner knew that the kitchen cart existed as he left our dishes to dry there). Most things on my bedroom drawers remained untouched and still dusty when I was rearranging things around today. As I look to my rolling clothing rack now, I see cobwebs on the bottom of the rack and dust gathered up all along the sides of my room. Other Yelp reviewers mentioned having the inside of their fridges cleaned and a bento box, which never happened for me. Maybe it's because I've never had my house or apartment professionally cleaned before, but I expect that when I pay someone, what is for me considered a lot of money, for doing something I can easily do myself, that they would bring a level of service and skill far beyond mine. I expected to be "wowed". Maybe it's because my roommate and I are already neat and clean people, but we didn't notice much of a difference from when we clean and this clean except that a few items were rearranged in the bathroom differently from how we would arrange them. I know there are a lot of things to attend to in an apartment, but like you said, one cleaning professional should have been sufficient. I should state I'm not completely disappointed or angry, just slightly disappointed. Perhaps the disappointment comes more from my high level of expectations given your reviews and given the term "deep" clean than anything else. I just wanted to try out this service and now I see it's not right for my roommate and I's situation as we can achieve this level of "deep" clean in about an hour or two on our own. OK---so here's my situation. I work at a digital agency and come home late all the time and have no time to clean anymore (sorry, my weekends are reserved for sitting on the couch and staring at my walls to recover from my crazy work week). Per my Yelp profile, I normally do not write reviews unless it is an absolute rave or an absolute dud. Am glad to report that this review is the former, not the latter. I signed up for Clean Apple to come and do a basic clean of my studio. My apartment is usually a bit of a mess because I just let everything pile up. Did I also mention that I have a cat? Yeah, I have a furry, shedding kitty too. So the dust and fur that accumulates during the week usually has me sneezing. Clean Apple uses hardcore Korean cleaning techniques to clean your place. If you are Korean, you know the deal. But for those of you unfamiliar, Korean style cleaning involves literally getting down on your hands and knees and scrubbing, dusting and polishing everything in sight. Other cleaning services I have used in the past merely sweep and swiffer. Not this service. Everything was completely cleaned out and even all my little knick knacks (I think I may be a hoarder) were re-arranged and cleaned. What makes this service unique is that they are very aware of people who have allergies and they take great pains to make the apartment as hypo-allergenic as possible. And the best part? They leave a nutritious and yummy Korean bento box meal for you when they leave! I'm telling you---I get home from work late at night and usually have nothing to look forward to than another diner meal, so it is just nice to have a good meal to come home to. A really classy touch! Pricing is really reasonable ($65 for my 700 sq foot studio) for both cleaning and the meal. Definitely a bargain compared to other places that charge more and do less! I cannot rave about this place enough. I know they are just getting off the ground so I just wanted to show my support....get in while the going is good, folks! I consider myself somewhat of an expert in evaluating cleaning services as I have been using them in different cities for over 20 years. Clean Apple deserves a 5-star rating for the following reasons: - Thoroughness: the cleaning our apartment receives is always satisfactory, and includes touches like changing the sheets, cleaning out the microwave, taking out the garbage and recycling, etc. When I return home after they are through, I am always pleased! - Scheduling: the company is very accommodating about the schedule, and flexible when we ask for changes - Price: we previously paid the same for a cleaning service that was much less efficient and thorough - Responsiveness: compared with other services I've used, Clean Apple responds quickly and clearly when we communicate with them any special concerns or requests In short, I'm pleased to recommend Clean Apple. read more

My sister lives in NYC and she has one the busiest schedules EVER! She didn't even have time to look for any cleaning agencies to take care of her condo . I, who happened to have SO MUCH TIME according to her, had to do some homework and found out about this cleaning agency through some of my friends. Of course my sister didn't think that I did a good job until she saw it herself. She was just soooo happy and even ecstatic when she found a bento box in her refrigerator.
