I did see they allow you to make reservations on Open Table, so I booked it for a weekday to try it out. It wasn't nearly as busy as the parking lot looked, there was plenty of seating. It was a nice day so they had the windows open and they also had someone playing live music so it was a tad loud but, not overly loud where you can't hear your conversation. The menu is not your typical menu, it's very crafty if that's a word. The service was very good, and she explained the menu well and we took her up on her recommendations. Turkey pastrami which I had never had before. It tastes really fresh and felt healthy. The salad comes in a little small bowl but full of goodness. It's a really nice place for a girls night out, or a family dinner. Wouldn't consider it a good place for date night as it is pretty loud.

Upon entering I noticed how cute the decor was and how open it was. The kitchen is even behind glass so you can see most of it from your table. This place would be awesome for groups. The servers wear whatever makes them comfortable and fits their style which is a nice touch to the theme. But where the home runs were was the food. We had a hard time deciding on an appetizer as they all sounded so good. We went with the wagyu pigs in a blanket. They are cooked perfectly and seasoned well and juicy. I got the chicken katsu sandwich on Japanese milk bread and o my gosh it was so flavorful and I like anything else you can find around. The breading is light and not overly crunchy. I still think about that sandwich. Hubby ordered the short ribs and he said they were flavorful and tender and juicy. I can't express how amazing the food is here. You just have to give it a try. It's worth it.

I opted for the dining room, and even though it was buzzing with a lunch crowd, it was the perfect level of energy without being noisy. The service was 10/10. My waiter was incredibly warm and took the time to explain the day's dishes in detail. I ordered the Brussels Sprouts and a drink, and both arrived in just a few minutes. The sprouts were perfectly prepared and very satisfying easily some of the best I've had. If you're looking for a high-quality lunch with excellent service and a great vibe, this is the place. I'm giving it a full rating and will definitely be back!

Reviewed the menu seemed to be eclectic enough, off we go. The place had a decent size outdoor dinning area. Few of the tables were occupied. Table for one...indoor, outdoor was the question? Indoor. Although the weather was beautiful, indoors was my choice. Al fresco dining is not my first choice. I don't like to do battle over my meal with insects and other wild life. I deducted 1 star for red wine served at room temperature. How is it that, red wines are chilled (55F) on the west coast but served at 'room temperature' (72F, 82F...) on the east coast. Had two dishes, they were OK, service was ok Would I go back? Yes, if the red wine was chilled.

I appreciate that we were given to wait staff for our group size which made things move very fast and efficiently. They have some great lunch offerings and deals to get the most out of the menu. I really liked the lunch combo with the shrimp cocktail, their homemade sauce really packs a punch! I knew that I liked the food, and I have previously enjoyed the atmosphere at their Carmel location, so I felt that it was a safe choice. We were a group of 5 and requested booth seating, so we were right behind the host stand. I wasn't thrilled about that, at first, but several larger groups were seated in the same area near the entrance. The booth was spacious and comfortable, and the decor is very bright and vibrant. I ordered the Marg of the Month for May, which was the Bee Sting Margarita. It is made with jalapeno honey and lots of slices of fresh jalapeno. Between those aspects and the bite of the tequila...I quickly understood why it was given that name! If you like a spicy marg, I would definitely suggest! I also ordered the Chips & Salsa Flight for the table. I chose the Roasted Red and Chile de Arbol salsas, along with the guac and queso. I loved all of the dips...except the chile de arbol. It was just spicy...and nothing else. No flavor other than hot. LOL For our entrees, I ordered the Steak Fajitas. I probably could've fed the entire family with the portion that I received. It's Tuesday and I'm still working on it! The steak, peppers and onions were flavorful and tender and it came with all of the pertinent toppings (shredded cheese, lettuce, and pico de gallo). I also requested sour cream on the side. It was served with a side of beans and rice as well. My cousin ordered the Chicken Tinga Enchiladas and quipped that she would've liked "more tinga on her chicken". She didn't eat it all or take the leftovers home, so I'm not sure that I'd suggest that dish. One of my daughters ordered the Shrimp & Street Corn tacos without the corn, so they looked a little plain, but she liked them. She wasn't a fan of the $5.50 per taco price tag. My aunt ordered the Matador bowl and our server, Hailey, stated that it was her favorite. I had also been eyeing that on the menu. She enjoyed it and had plenty to take home with her as well. My other daughter ordered the Quesabirria tacos and supremely enjoyed her meal as well. The hosts and our server provided excellent service, and we had a really good time.

Intimate. The lighting? Soft. The whole space feels like a quiet luxury moment tucked right into the city. Now let's talk about what REALLY matters, the food. The shrimp & grits??? Listen... this wasn't just a dish, this was an EXPERIENCE. The grits were creamy, smooth, and perfectly rich, but that sauce layered on top?? Whew. Flavor on flavor on flavor. You've got that deep, savory, slightly smoky profile with juicy shrimp, sausage, and those pickled onions cutting through everything with the perfect tang. Every bite felt intentional. Like somebody knew what they were doing in that kitchen. And can we talk about how beautiful it was plated?? Because yes, I absolutely appreciated the aesthetics before I even picked up my fork. Paired it with a simple coffee moment, sitting by the window, and honestly... it felt like a reset. Not rushed, not loud, just good food, good atmosphere, and a chance to actually enjoy it. If you're looking for a brunch spot that feels a little more elevated, a little more intentional, and delivers on both flavor and experience. This is it. 10/10. I'll absolutely be back!!!

We started with the deviled eggs, an elevated take on a classic that set the tone early. They were well balanced, flavorful, and a perfect shareable to kick things off. For entrées, the table covered a solid range of the menu. The shrimp and grits, ordered by two in our party, stood out with rich, comforting flavors and a well executed balance of seasoning and texture. The wings brought a satisfying bite with just the right amount of crisp, while the burnt ends with fries leaned into bold, hearty flavors that didn't disappoint. The grilled chicken Caesar salad offered a lighter option but still delivered with fresh ingredients and solid execution. What truly elevated the evening, though, was the service. Skye, our waitress, was exceptional, attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable, and genuinely engaging. She kept everything flowing seamlessly for a larger group, which is no small feat. The overall atmosphere struck a great balance between upscale and approachable, making it an easy choice for both casual dinners and group outings. Bottom line, a well rounded dining experience with strong food, standout service, and an inviting environment. I'd absolutely recommend Conner's Kitchen + Bar and wouldn't hesitate to return.
