The place was busy, but that didn't stop the staff from giving me a warm welcome. They even thanked me for the review I left after my last visit and asked how my daughter was doing. That kind of personal touch is rare and says a lot about the people who work here. This time I ordered the steak burger and the chili cheese dog, and both were an easy 10/10. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I was hoping for. I grabbed a spot on one of the comfortable couches in the back, caught up on some work, and enjoyed one of the best lunches I've had in a while. The food, coffee, and desserts are always outstanding, but what really keeps me coming back is the atmosphere and the people. They make you feel like more than just another customer. If you're ever in downtown Indianapolis and need a great spot for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or even just coffee and dessert, do yourself a favor and stop by Three Dolls. The roots are truly Amish - Rise 'n Roll was started by an Amish couple in a bakery that didn't use electricity, refrigeration, or modern technology. In 2009, however, that couple sold the bakery to a non-Amish couple that has worked to maintain its roots while also adding some updates (including franchising). The original owner stayed on! I was a little surprised when the Broad Ripple location, though it never quite felt like a Rise 'n Roll. Having been to the Middlebury spot on multiple occasions, Broad Ripple just felt like "too much" to me. This spot, while still nice, is a humbler location that still maintains the quality. I've never been completely fond of this strip center. It's not particularly wheelchair friendly (yes, there's a curb-cut, however, accessible parking is wonky at best). However, once inside all is forgiven. This spot opened in late 2023. While it's known for its donuts, you can also get other pastries, popcorn, and other Amish items. At this point, Rise 'n Roll has about 15 locations statewide with four in Central Indiana (Nora, Fishers, Greenwood, Westfield). Avon recently closed. As most people are told by bakery fans and employees, their real signature donut would be the cinnamon caramel donut It's a pretty remarkable donut, though I tend to go for either cinnamon rolls, traditional yeast, and occasionally something chocolate iced. I find the employees friendly, the atmosphere clean and welcoming, and the prices definitely fair. They have fundraising opportunities and it's definitely one of my favorite bakeries - it's better, at least for me, knowing that it's also one of Indiana's own.

There is plenty of parking and many other restaurants shops nearby. The inside is clean and modern. There are roughly 10 tables, a comfy couch and chairs, and a small bar area. I HAD to try the Beach Day Latte. The latte was made perfectly. The icing on the cake was the house made coconut cold foam! Ohmygoodness- it was delicious. The breakfast sandwich was standard. I will say they did cook my egg to my liking. The bacon was good but still had grease on the two pieces. Our order taker was friendly and extremely helpful with the explaining the menu.
