If you're staying at one of the many nearby hotels, I would definitely recommend you skip the low quality, limited hotel breakfast and go to Stacks. They've got a ton of seating, and I got a booth right away. Everyone was very friendly and the service was fast. The restaurant is clean and the food was great, especially for the price. I had a huge omelette, well done hashbrowns (per my request), two giant pancakes, and coffee all for $12. I also thought the coffee was very good here. Much better than the hotel coffee you make in the room or get in the lobby.

Upon entering and waiting to be seated, there are two white boards of specials to read. They were not crowded for lunch at noon on a Friday. The dining room was large and spacious. This a nice place to eat and the name doesn't do them justice in my opinion. Don't forget to like them on Facebook for 10% off. Free WiFi is available. I ordered the Stacks Club and with that comes a choice of soup or salad. I selected the soup which was Vegetable Beef today. The soup was outstanding! And it was a bowl of it, not a cup, so it really was enough of a lunch for me. But I also managed to eat a quarter of the sandwich which was a fairly large sandwich. The sandwich was quite tasty as well. Fries are included with sandwiches too. There were several other menu items I could try the next time. But I may not get past the soup section of the menu. I have grown to be a soup lover since the bread carbs are not there. This place had great soup today.

Plainfield is equipped with a convenient and capable pancake house. It's Stacks, folks. And they got your eats. Served by the effervescent Hayley, thanks to the convenient specials board, I knew what the morning needed: French toast, and the harmony of accompaniments: eggs, bacon, hash browns. Big star for the portions. Two huge plates of food for $15. That's value, friends. Texas toast frenched. Big star for the preparation. Hash browns terrific, bacon crispy, and eggs proper. Everything served quickly. Fifth star? The only thing about Stacks is the dining area feels quite commercial and sterile. It's not the most warm and inviting place and that's really something important to awaken the senses for breakfast. My last pancake house experience was the Pocahontas in Virginia Beach, which is loaded to the gills with camp and whimsy. What a place. Now, that probably wouldn't swing in suburban Indianapolis. But, and I can't believe I'm saying this, the brightness of some cut flowers, some character given by some wall art or a centerpiece might bring the best out of the space. Or, just smell the syrup and stare deeply into the French toast. Yes.

I liked this place. The staff was friendly. The food was unexpectedly delicious. And they give you a lot of food. I ordered one of the skillets that came with pancakes. Both were very good. Most breakfast places are typically the same. But this one was a little different for the best. As I said, the taste was outstanding! I highly recommend going.

Stopped in before I headed to the airport. Quick and friendly service. Great food. And cheap prices. Can't beat that at all.

Amazing portion sizes, good food, quick service. Would go back

Saw the great reviews and had to stop by since we were staying across the street at a nearby hotel. it was Sunday morning, specifically the morning of the Indy 500, but there was no wait. The waiter insisted that we saw the specials listed on the board at the front since they weren't on the menu. Sidenote, you can't substitute items on the menu. We both ordered, and the food came out fairly quickly. The food was fresh, hot, and tasted great! Would definitely return.

The service was absolutely impeccable: attentive without hovering, warm without pretense, and delivered with the sort of genuine hospitality that makes you feel less like a customer and more like an honored guest at an impossibly chic gathering. And then came the drinks. The pistachio latte was a masterpiece of balance and indulgence -- velvety, nutty, and luxuriously smooth, as though a pistachio grove had somehow been distilled into liquid silk. Each sip unfolded like a sonnet. The wildflower latte, meanwhile, was pure poetry in a cup. Delicately floral without being overpowering, it carried an almost ethereal sweetness, like spring itself had been persuaded to dissolve into espresso. It was whimsical, elegant, and astonishingly memorable. The Green Room Cafe has achieved what so many coffee shops aspire to but few truly accomplish: creating not just beverages, but an experience -- one steeped in artistry, comfort, and just the right amount of enchantment. A triumph. Five stars scarcely feels sufficient. I love finding a coffee shop that has their own house made syrups. I tried the monthly special, Wildflower latte with an added espresso shot and sadly it just tasted like flavored milk. I want to be able to taste the espresso and decided to pivot to a cocktail instead. Their cocktails were well made and the presentation was perfect. While there isn't a large selection of liquors, they have the staples to make most go-to cocktails in addition to their monthly specials (both cocktail and mocktail options). The food is what really stands out and would bring me back. You are able to choose a salad, flatbread or sandwich and their creations are unique and delicious. I had the pesto, peas and goat cheese on flatbread and was pleasantly surprised to find I could order the flatbread as a half order for $9 instead of committing to a whole order. I will be back but the coffee still needs some work before it would be enticing enough to became my go to location. Overall, it's a fun spot with options for everyone and a great addition to the Plainfield area.

It took my suggestion on this trip for me to actually try it and I was not disappointed. The atmosphere and lengthy menu reminded me of New Jersey diner. The menu was so extensive, I completely missed one whole page of breakfast foods. They had everything with the exception of bagels. Portions are huge. They were so big, I could not finish my meal. Two could eat comfortably with the sizes of the dishes they brought out. Grits were a nice texture, not runny or pasty and yes, they serve grits this far north. I would estimate that they serve about 2-3 measuring cups worth in a cereal bowl. My three egg omelet was fine. The vegetables and ham were mixed in with the egg, which was cooked just fine. Pancakes are their signature dish and I really enjoyed these, except they were too big. Two fluffy pancakes stacked together just about covered a dinner plate. Too often pancakes are floppy or overcooked. These were perfect. I would have liked the option for real maple syrup, though. Every time we walk in, we are immediately greeted by the cheerful staff and warm, retro ambiance. There are so many things I love about Oasis, but I think the biggest thing is the true diner-style environment they have. Classic bar stools and a counter with several pies, cozy booths, and even outdoor seating! In the main dining area, the decor showcases all sorts of retro/vintage history with 8-tracks, vinyls, and license plates from decades past. As they are also along the Historic National Road, their menu reflects the other cities along the highway with their breakfast combos! If you want a different route to get here, they are also situated right along the White Lick Creek Trail, so it's an easy walk (or bike) across the pedestrian bridge to some delicious American food! As well as the ambiance I've discussed, I also love that they are a frequent participant of the Devour Indy promotions, as the promotions and deals they offer are well worth it! Over the many times I've been here, I've tried quite a few things off their menu, and they have a lot! Prices are very reasonable (I think they have gone up just a smidge since I've been there but nothing too crazy). If you stop in the morning (or any time, really) their cappuccino is AMAZING! I just get a basic cappuccino, but there are additional flavors you can add (Toffee and French Vanilla are two that I remember). Their burgers are always cooked to perfection, and the fries are a joy to eat (especially if you get the loaded fries!). Overall, this is a restaurant that is truly one of my all-time favorites and I will go out of my way to stop and have a meal here.

Our server Emily was cheerful and informative. A parking garage across the street served us well for dining at this restaurant and attending an event at Hendricks Live across the street. I enjoyed the steak frites entree, a generous portion of steak perfectly cooked, served with a delicious broccolini and tasty fries. My sister ordered the chicken marsala and noted that she would have liked more sauce, and the truffle potatoes were delicious. My brother said his huge pork chop was perfect, and my sister in-law recommended the sirloin steak. We had reservations and were seated at a high top table, which is not my preferred way to dine but the restaurant was full so we didn't ask to be moved. We had a bit of a wait for our entrees and chalked that up to it being Saturday night. There is a separate bar area and rooftop dining with igloos available.

I drove an hour to visit this place and saw lots of good reviews. I started off with a lemon drop and a snack short rib eggroll. The lemon drop was watery and just did not hit like I would have hoped (I'm a lemon drop girly). They do use Titos as their well so that was good. The egg roll was dry- you definitely need to dip in the wasabi aioli to make it palatable. Next up were the buffalo chicken hush puppies. I like the idea here. The inside was moist and flavorful and the outside was kind of dry and drizzled with what I think was ranch. They were ok. I have a Ceaser salad add chicken and "fried" Brussels sprouts. The salad was suppose to come the onions , there were none so the waitress brought me some. The salad was mid at best and the chicken was dry and unflavored. I asked for some spicy ranch and that saved the salad! The Brussels sprouts were pretty good. My friend had the potato soup and said it was very watery (not creamy at all). I enjoyed the live music and overall vibe but good was average. Parking is an issue as well. There is parking in the rear or a parking garage but not super convenient parking.
