When I first visited the AMP, it was full of vendors. About half of them have left. Now, there is a distant garage in the back and limited free parking. I hope some of the great restaurants will continue to survive. I tried Caplinger's recently and am giving it a 4-star review. Glad to see Healthy Soul still exists. I do not like the early closing hours, but I know businesses serve probably mostly the workers nearby; don't forget the residences near the garage. Major suggestion: If you want business, provide free parking.

Love the AMP, it's so hard picking one place to eat! As a chicken and waffles fan, I had to try taste of innova wings & greens. Prices weren't bad compared to the other food there. Cost me about $16 for the sandwich, mac n cheese, and tip. Service was also great, would go again!

I am a big fan of the AMP and hope more people come to love this place. They have a nice selection of restaurants and bar and that have black owned businesses and give students a chance to get experience in the restaurant industry. I stop by about once a month because I take my son to get a haircut at black orchid this location is convenient because all the barbers he has had have done a great job and the food. 30$ may be a bit expensive for a kids haircut but even the chains cost is similar so I might as well spend the extra 5 for a great cut. My favorite place to get food from is Caplingers which is an Indianapolis staple they serve up a delicious fried catfish, shrimp, hush puppies and you have to get the greens. I have also tried out 6 of the other spots here and the food has all been solid. Vic's barbecue can be smelled before stepping in on a good day and their ribs and pulled pork are tasty will hit the spot. I also enjoyed the tacos that I have gotten from tortilla Mexican food. They were quick and fresh, don't forget the sweets i usually go in the evening so I have gotten boba from boba and everything and the cheese cake and Oreo treats from punkin's pies.

My family and I love visiting The Amp! So many diverse restaurants all in one place. Usually my son gets pizza and I branch out and try something new during each visit. My favorite so far has been Mambo's Cheesesteak Grill, but I want to try more like the bbq, wings, and the burger place! It's one of my favorite places to meet friends for lunch and I really love when The Amp hosts the Indy Winter Market. It's very clean and spacious!

I love a great far era market, and to get to attend one in the winter is amazing! This winter market at The Amp is full of food items as well as crafty things, plus eat it here now stuff as well. The atmosphere is festive and lively on any given Saturday and they have a ton of options for every taste and budget. We love some of the variety as well as the exposure to new small local businesses that we might otherwise know about in the city. We buy raw fermented sauerkraut, local honey, local produce and even some vegan spreads! Yum. If you have an option to go and just explore I suggest it is a great way to get out on a Saturday am and experience all the fun of a farmers market but indoors and in warmth!

So happy they have added some sound baffles to the ceiling. With all the hard surfaces it could get really really over powering loud inside. The baffles do help a lot. Mambo Grill still favorite spot Inside. Then Caplingers Fresh Catch and Punkins Pies. This weekend they were having the Big Gay Halloween Market. Tons of booths and hand made stuff plus mocktails from The Milkman's Daughter Bar

I love The AMP! A food hall that highlights all types of diverse businesses? I'm in. The AMP is located in the 16 Tech Innovation District, which is an "innovation hub that fosters collaboration and community." The AMP serves to springboard both new and established businesses. You'll find everything from poke bowls to coffee, desserts, soups, salads, seafood, specialty PB&Js, hibachi, wings, bagels, pizza, boba tea, and more. The vendors have built shops in shipping containers, which is super fun, and there's also a lot of seating. There's a shipping container for live music in the middle, and a bar to get cocktails. Note: All of the businesses have different hours. This sometimes makes it difficult to just pop in and browse. If you want to go experience all of them, I'd recommend going on a Friday or Saturday evening, when the majority are open.

What a cool place! I attended an Indiana Humanities event (separate review) here. This reminds me of an old school food court with more diversity and a centralized bar. So many different food options, I guarantee you'll find something you like here. Vegan? Yep...they've got you covered (I'm gonna throw in a plug for my fav here, Burgeezy). Parking is a breeze with an adjacent garage. Pro-tip: most places here aren't open super late, some even close mid-afternoon so I'd suggest you check on the hours. I highly recommend you check out this new-ish spot for some tasty treats and more!

I was able to find a free on street parking space at about 11:40 am. There is a pay lot but I don't know how much it is or if you can get it validated at the restaurants inside. There are other shops besides places to eat. One sells house plants. There is a stage setup for live music. The restrooms are large. It seems to me that it just has a lot more seating accommodations than The Garage. I came at the height of the lunch hour rush and there were plenty of empty tables even though there were a lot of construction workers ordering lunch. I like this place. There is a great atmosphere. It has plenty of different types of cuisine offerings. Caplinger's Fresh Catch Seafood Market and Mambo's Cheesesteak Grill were the most busy today.

This my second visit to The AMP and it didn't disappoint. Not only were almost all the businesses were open but they were having the Winter Farmer's Market so there were a ton of vendors lined up as well. Parking was free during this event so that was a nice surprise. This time we stopped at Beast and played pinball in the Escape Pod. I wish my stomach was as big as my eyes cuz I wanted to eat one of everything. I brought my family this time and they were skeptical based on my description of shipping containers turned to businesses. But they loved it too and can't wait to return.

I didn't have a lot of time to chat with everyone but a few of them mentioned their availability at local farmer's markets during the summer season so I can find many of them in Fishers or Broad Ripple or Binford which is closer to home on the weekend :-) This was a great new event and it was very successful in my mind as I noticed several of my coworkers toting bags of the things they bought on their way home that night. The mission of Statehouse Market is "In order to promote healthier eating habits and support Indiana farmers and businesses, the Statehouse Market gives state employees and customers a location that provides fresh, high quality produce and food products. This outlet is also an opportunity to promote locally grown products and produce." The weekly event is a highlight for Statehouse and Indiana Government Center employees and it's not uncommon to see folks come by from other area office buildings. The Statehouse Market took a hiatus during 2020 due to the pandemic, a time when even most Government Center employees were working from home. However, it has returned this year and is slowly building steam again. Today was downright busy. The event includes typically about a dozen food trucks, a handful of veggie type vendors, and other area businesses ranging from the soon to be open downtown location of Rise n' Roll Donuts to Groomsville Popcorn, Oberweis Dairy, Gluten Free Creations, and a host of others. Food trucks have included the likes of: BoxBurger Truck Brozinni Pizzeria Byrne's Grilled Pizza Chef Dan's Southern Comfort Chomp'z Food Truck Da Blue Lagoon Dashboard Diner Delectable Cuisine Catering Der Pretzel Wagen El Venezolano Greiner's Sub Shop J & J A Taste Of Home Catering Johnson's BBQ Shack Las Tortugas Food Truck and Catering Muay Thai Kitchen Nacho Mama's Food Truck Nicey Treat Ooo Weee Chicken Pastabilitiez Pierogi Love Indy Serendipity Mobile Catering Soladine Concessions Street Chef Sweet Valley Ice Cream Tacos Without Borders Taste of The Caribbean The Legendary Kitchen The NY Slice The Twisted Sicilian Wild Boar BBQ and more. You can also occasionally see government agencies with a table, local colleges, and employees can often find various agencies associated with their daily lives such as insurance providers, banks, etc. I will admit that I contemplated lowering the rating a star because accessibility can occasionally be an issue, but for the most part everyone here does really well. The Statehouse Market recently observed its 9th birthday. The only other time it has been interrupted was one year when it had to be moved over toward the Indiana State Museum due to some rehab going on in the Plaza. That was a rough year for wheelchair users and for anyone trying to squeeze in a food truck on a limited lunch schedule. A lot of folks don't know there is a downtown farmer's market - this is one of downtown Indy's best kept secrets and I look forward to it each week. Today, I visited NY Slice and I've definitely appreciated the variety that is maintained from week to week. Employees are notified each week which vendors will be present and it seems to be the one day when folks really get out of their cubicles and offices and get some fresh air and lunch. If you're in the area, I definitely recommend it.
