Was there last weekend and though had passed the place a few times, did not consider until I read the Yelp reviews. It's a family business and they don't hide that. We bought a large pepperoni and mushroom with 2 large drinks for $22 which was a good value. It's a little sparse inside regarding decor, but the service was attentive and the son of the owner came by to chat. They are considering a beer & wine license, so that could help matters and boost spend. Parking is at a premium. Many of the businesses in this spot have failed over the years, but these guys have a shot. read more

This pizza is beyond delicious. I decided to try Classica Pizza during my Thanksgiving visit to CT (I grew up in Fairfield County but live in Austin now) after reading their Yelp reviews. Upon arriving, there weren't any guests in the restaurant so we understandably got a little nervous about whether I'd picked the right spot for my much-anticipated annual CT/ NY pizza meal (no pressure). But, with so many 4 and 5 star reviews I had to follow through and see what it was all about. As soon as I entered, I knew we were going to be in good hands: the smell of NY-style pizza filled the room and there was a group of older Italian gentlemen working away in the kitchen. Always a good sign! My family and I were quickly greeted by a young man behind the counter who happily guided us to a table where he took our order for a Classic Cheese pizza and a House Special pizza. The House Special pizza is combination of mushrooms, onions, pepperoni, sliced meatballs and peppers which my family ate in its entirely and the Classic Cheese was honestly the best pizza I've ever had. The crust on both was on the thinner side, but nice and crispy on the bottom without any signs of being charred. I only eat pizza once a year so I do my best to find the best one I can before indulging and I have to say - this pizza far surpassed any I've had in the last 20 years. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try. You won't be disappointed by the perfect balance of cheese, sauce and crust AND their great customer service. I'll definitely be back next year! Made a second visit here. This will be my place for take out after many years of not having a "go to" place for us. I do prefer the charred crunchy crust style of Pepe's but am not driving there every time I want pizza. This is more of your standard thin crust and cooked in a regular pizza oven. While waiting for my pizza one of the owners, Vilson, offered to try a slice of chicken - bacon pizza on the house. It was delicious and a great way to treat your customers. I have been picking up pizza for over 30 years and never had such a good customer service gesture like that at a pizza restaurant. My absolute new favorite spot! Pizza is soooo good! Loveee the crust.. A little confused by one reviewer claiming the crust was too crispy. Who wants soggy pizza crust? Not me. Definitely try the prosciutto and Arugula pie. To die for! Love the build your own salad option. I also love that the Salads come in a big plastic container so you can shake it with the dressing and mix it. Lemon dressing is one of my faves and love the Arugula option for the Salads. I'm declaring this pizza as the best in Norwalk! Not since the owner of Pizzeria Rosso closed his shop and opened Bar Sugo several years ago has there been pizza this good in Norwalk with the exception of the Colony Grill (which to me is a totally different animal). The crust is thin and chewy, the sauce is not overwhelmed by dry herbs, a common flaw but what distinguishes great Neapolitan style pie is the cheese. There is one particular brand of pricey mozzarella from Wisconsin that many of the better pizza shops in the NYC metro area use and they use it here. You can smell it when you walk in the door, it's distinctive. That they deliver is a bonus. I hope they make it. This seems to be a tough location. read more

Great addition to Norwalk- you can tell they're using good ingredients. The cheese is really flavorful, the sauce has a nice balance. The interior needs a little more ambiance - the industrial lighting from the kitchen kind of floods the whole place... but we get takeout from here anyway. Great takeout pizza! However, Classica has definitely distinguished themselves with a unique crust (just the right amount of crispiness and thickness), and quality ingredients. We've been looking for a good New York style pizza for years in Norwalk but they all have their shortcomings. So we thought we'd give the newly opened Classica a try. It was PERECT! The pizza had a thin enough crust to rival NYC pizza and the sauce was excellent. We ordered jalapeno poppers and were so surprised to get 8 to an order where everyone else charges $2 more and gives you 5 or 6. The Classica salad was excellent and we loved the mix of greens plus other ingredients. All in all, this is our new pizza place, no need to go anywhere else in our opinion.
