I wish I had a photo of the cheese pizza I ordered but it was not that good. To start off the pizza was done very quickly like super quick not even 5 minutes which was strange, it was probably a sign that the pizza wasn't freshly made. When I got the pizza it was oily and soggy from top to bottom and had no flavor at all I was just tasting was just salt and dough. I very rarely give five star reviews for restaurants. Since I do a lot of cooking, the food I order out has to be at least as good as what I could make at home. In addition, I have a pretty good idea how much ingredients cost and the labor that goes into food prep, so the price can't be exorbitant to earn a five star rating in my book Letizia's Pizza aces both tests. The crust is thin, and the ratio of cheese to sauce was perfect. Sauce was tangy and flavorful and the toppings were great (sausage and tomato on mine). At $25 for a large pizza prices were completely reasonable. Hands down better than the 2 pizza places I tried in NYC last month, and better than all the pizza I can get in DC. read more

A local favorite, this family run pizza place is right on Route 7 (local), next to Edo's and Michelle Pies (They share the same parking lot). The Pizza's are offered with several options like Crispy, Well Done , Undercooked, which is a nice touch. I have tried the Crispy and the Well done, and have enjoyed them both. The large pizza is pretty decent sized, and even with the crazy prices these days, this place has kept them pretty attractive, so full marks to them and more the reason to support them. Like I said, it is a local favorite, there is seating inside, but mostly you will see people ordering out and usually there is a line, Always a good idea to call ahead to place an order. read more

Visited Letizia's Pizza for the first time for take out tonight, overall average experience only because we prefer a thicker crusted pizza. Sauce was good and on the sweet side. Would have liked more toppings on both pies. House salad was also average, although pleasantly surprised to see broccoli as an addition. read more

My new go to spot! Having recently relocated to the area, I was on the hunt for a solid local pizza spot and this place fits the bill! Staff is friendly, orders are ready on time (I did pick-up both times) and prices are very fair. Portions are HUGE! One night I had a chicken parm dinner with pasta and a side salad. I couldn't finish it all because there was so much! The flavors were on point - some of the best red sauce I've tasted, pasta cooked perfectly, nice cheese ratio. Excellent. But the star? The chicken - the thickest, most well cooked breaded cutlet I've ever had. WOW! Went back again last night and did a small thin crust with sausage. Again, superb. Can't wait to keep tasting more. Hands down one of the best pies in Fairfield County if not the whole state and rivals any pie from the tri-state. One bite everyone knows the rules. The ratio of sauce to cheese is perfect, not like some place that dribble a little bit of sauce and to much cheese! It's a small place with just a few employees which are all friends and that's great for how consistent and fresh there food comes out! Whats also great is that they offer 5 different degrees of doneness from Aunt Mary's style to undercooked to well done! I personally order it and let them do there thing. We got Letizia's Pizza for a work meeting and this was my first time trying it. To me, pizza is one of those things that is good even when it's bad, I find it's pretty hard to mess up pizza. I think the pizza here is very decent but it's honestly nothing to write home about, especially considering the signs outside boasting their awards. The pizza was pretty soggy and you really can't hold it without it drooping. I tried the El Diablo which was pretty good in terms of flavors, it was surprisingly decently spicy. I really like the hot oil but I think there might have been too much which added to the droopiness. I also tried a slice of the Hawaiian which was pretty standard, it was good but again nothing out of the ordinary. The one thing I found really strange was the salad pizza. I've never seen anything quite like this. It was dough, sauce, and huge chunks of lettuce, cucumbers, etc on it. It was literally just the tossed salad scattered on top of sauce and dough. Not exactly the most appealing thing and really hard to even take out of the box. I think this would be better if the veggies were chopped a bit more. read more

How is there no review for Letizia's up here on the yelp? Supposedly some high-falootin magazines have said its better than new haven pizza! Blasphemy!! I wouldn't say it's better but in reality it is as-good-as those pies to the north - definitely in the same league. To me, this place is one of the better pizzerias in fairfield county. I know people who totally disagree with me on this - and refuse to eat pizza from here - to each their own! Letizia's is completely different from all the heavy dough and dense cheese pies that are around the area. A nice and thin but not too crispy (like new haven) crust - not burnt or large freaky bubbles, just a good above average crust - this isnt a coal or wood burning joint. Tomato sauce is more like a sweet tomato paste, not too soupy and not too runny - always just right for me. The cheese is simple, straightforward - hot, gooey, melted, delicious. It is really more of a to-go pizzeria, not a lot of tables in there and not a lot of effort to make it look fancy (pics of uncle joe on the wall) - but who cares, the pizza is really all that matters here and it is some of the best pizza around. I usually just get cheese pizza here, toppings dont to much for me.. keep it simple and you wont be disappointed!! i remember Letizias from before they moved to this new location .. this is still the same classic pizza, still worth going out of your way for. read more

We had been fans of Letizia's pizza for a while and of all the pizza joints in our immediate area, Letizia's was definitely a go-to. However, this quickly changed when we got a pizza with a rock in it. That's right, a dime sized rock had somehow made it onto our pizza. Of all the bad things that people have found in their food, a rock wasn't the worst thing but it still wasn't acceptable. We called and were told our next order would be comped. As the loyal customers we were we decided we'd try it again. We placed our order a couple of weeks later and when we reminded the guy behind the counter about our previous experience, his tune changed. Our order was not being comped, only a small plain pizza would be (even though the rock was found on the large we ordered). We weren't taking advantage of a bad situation by ordering 12 pizzas and we weren't being difficult or rude about the finding the rock in the first place. But, when it was obvious that satisfying a customer after a bad experience wasn't priority, that's when we decided our relationship with Letizia's had ended. In hindsight, this was probably a good thing. Who knows what we might've found next in our pizza? read more

I lived in Brooklyn for over 25 years prior to moving to CT. We were severely disappointed in the few pizza places we tried (including Pinocchio Pizza) and would choose DiGiorno over them any day. Then we discovered Wilton Pizza and Letizia's pizza. I can't say that either rivals some of the better pizza places in NYC, but Letizia's thin slice is better than many pizza places in NYC. Can't say the same about Pinocchio. I would say I prefer the Letizia's pizza over Wilton pizza, but I get Wilton pizza more often because they deliver and Letizia's does not. I highly recommend trying Letizia's - my favorite pizza in the Wilton-Norwalk area. read more

High four & a half...This is fantastic, one of a kind pizza. This is the best pizza I have come across this far west in the state. While the places legacy, dating back to the 30s, goes back as far as the legends around New Haven, this place seems to have developed completely on its own, with a style completely and wholly its own. Nevertheless the place is an institution, and without a doubt deserves a spot the list of the Nations Great Pizzerias. As has been mentioned by in many previous reviews, the crust is completely unique. It is extremely thin, bordering on cracker-like, and at first seems almost like bar-pie style, which is served at, among other places the venerable Colony Grill in nearby Stamford. Though extremely similar in thinness however, this crust is far more complex, exuding a texture that suggest both the brilliant smokey char and snap of a great NY style pie, and the slight chewiness of New Haven style. The regular pie is excellent, with the sauce just a tad sweet on some occasions, perfectly so on many others. The pie you MUST ORDER here however, is the WHITE. I came of age on Long Island in the 1990s, when white pies were at their peak of popularity and every local pizzeria offered a version. The one here is undoubtably the best I have ever had. Whatever ingenious blend of herbs and spices they mix in with the ricotta is nothing brilliant. There is however, one way to make it even better that the management suggested to me, ADD BACON TO IT. You are welcome in advance. The atmosphere is fantastically divvy and again falls somewhat closer to a NY corner style pizzeria than the bar like digs of Colony grill or the booth heavy, family night out New Haven pizzerias, and unlike most points east, slices are available as opposed to whole pies. Whole pies do seem to be more common still tho, however, particularly in personal size servings. Service is a tad slow but extremely friendly and the management are the generations-deep descendants of the owners, almost always a really really good sign. read more

I came here with my family when we first moved to Wilton in 1994- not learned in the art of thin crust pizza yet since we came from Orange County, CA. I was 6, and Letizia's became our go to spot for a really good pizza pie. It's not a fancy joint, but it's loved, clean, and the pies speak for themselves. The people who work there are the salt of the earth and are attentive to customers in a rare way. Now I'm 30, and live on the west coast again and dream about CT- and the first stop I can make here is Letizia's with my own small family. We got a cheese pie and the incredible antipasto salad. Hands down my favorite pizza in the area! It never disappoints! I usually call ahead and pick up after a quick shopping trip to one of the local stores I pop in onn once or twice a day. It's a great location to hit on the way home although I have met up with some friends and our kids to eat in and gossip the night away and the workers there are top notch! Super friendly and attentive. But not annoyingly attentive, it's like they know that we are going to need something just before we realize it! Excellent service!! My one gripe- They don't Deliver!!
