Our family loves Outpost's pizza, subs, salads, wings, and great service. Whether we have the food delivered or pick it up, it is outstanding. I suspect they make their own breads and it is crispy outside and soft inside - a great combo. My personal favorites are pepperoni pizza and the best ever Philly cheese steak with all the toppings. I don't order all the time, maybe 4 times a month or so, and they have a delivery driver, Andrew, who after 1 visit to my home, called before he arrived to let me know he will be parking a house down and didn't want to ring the bell because he didn't want to wake up our newborn. First off the employees and the owner(s) here are so friendly, fast and efficient. I am lucky enough to work on the same block and often will stop in on my way home for a slice (Love the mushroom and they heat it up for you and the slices are BIG) or a sandwich/salad. The eggplant parmesan sub sandwich is great as is the Sammy Davis Jr. wrap. Generous portions. Two of the salads I've tried were both great. Good caesar (I got shrimp on mine) and the Momma Maria. I then called to let them know and the owner was a nasty prick, He asked me if I " want my ass kissed " then hung up on me. Shortly later I called back pissed that I actually gave this asshole my money and he didn't seem to give a shit. In my opinion it is the best pizza in Westport! I love the cheese pizza. I am uncertain if it is the cheese or the sauce that gives the pizza the great taste. During my pregnancy and lunch brakes, it was the only pizza I would go to. The cheese fries are great! The people are nice and friendly. Casher is always friendly and has a smile on his face. It does get busy during lunch hours but the seating is not a problem. The times I have gone it is full but the workers are fast and seem to know what they are doing. This place was very busy on a Friday night. It only has a few tables but most of the business is takeout. Because of the takeout business it was loud and not very relaxing to dine in. You must order at the counter and pay before getting your food. They have small soda fridge with some soda, water and fruit drinks/tea. We ordered a large pie with mushrooms and extra sauce. The pie came out pretty quickly. It looked good and had fresh mushrooms which is key. Canned mushrooms are the worst on pizza. There was plenty of sauce and cheese and had a very thin crust. But because of the extra sauce and water from the mushrooms the crust was soggy towards the middle. It just didn't hold up. The overall flavor wasn't bad but I finished unsatisfied. Fast delivery with piping hot food earns an extra star alone in my book, which is exactly the service we got! We got a large bacon in honor of what would be my late grandmas 95th birthday and it was pretty tasty. Sauce on the sweeter side. Great local spot for a slice. I've been working in the area for a couple weeks and I've been getting lunch here pretty regularly, and I definitely recommend if your looking for a quick bite. So far I've had the chicken parm wedge and a few of the specialty slices and I've been very happy with the quality and portions. I can be pretty critical of pizza but this place checks all the boxes. My family likes the pizza but I find the payment process to be rather fishy. They claim the card processor company won't give them a new machine so they physically take your card and input the card number manually and they can't swipe the card either. After several encounters I asked if they offered Apple Pay and they could. They don't normally offer it. Then on my bill I noticed a convenience fee. So if you use any rewards cards or if you use Apple Pay with the Apple Card, they make you pay a fee to recoup the rewards. No disclosure. Not customer friendly to add fees.
