My fiancée and I were hungry and decided to try a new spot. Living in Berkeley and the Bay Area for a long time, this place felt like home. It was retro--the menu, the font on the menu, the cashier even looked like he was the Silent Bob from Clerks. Such a cool place! Now we can get into the pizza. I had a slice of the pepperoni cut into a triangle and the crust was crunchy, thin--but NOT soggy and it was pipping hot! The fiancée had their slice of the week, the Sicilian slice and she ate every last bite. Her crust was a little crunchier--too hard to cut with a knife but she said this is her new fave pizza spot. They also have Dang soda here and give a student discount on slices if you want to come and try it. I'll be back--my taste buds will thank me...my waist size, not so much! Hahaha!

Call in a to-go order and order was ready perfectly at the time I asked. That was convenient as I was somewhat in a time crunch - so I was super happy. The food was overall decent. The pizza itself had good flavor - we had the Skippey Ahoy. I added carmalized onions and it made it super tasty. We also ordered a Caesar salad - which was really good, but the dressing seemed off. It was very citrusy. The breadsticks were pretty ehhh I don't think I'd order them again. They were basically pizza dough with a garlic butter, but they were pretty dry and boring - we honestly didn't eat them - which was a bummer. I like Classic Slice, but I think they could improve the breadsticks because who doesn't love a good breadstick!!

Great pizza for vegans and vegetarians! This local Milwaukee neighborhood spot is a great place to grab a slice or a whole pizza. We stopped in and I was thrilled to see the vegan toppings offered which included soy cheese, vegan Italian sausage crumble and a huge vegetable selection! The restaurant is casual, offers wooden long tables, 4 top tables and window bar stool seating. The prices were reasonable and the pizza was thin and crispy and served hot. I would recommend Classic pizza for a quick lunch, dinner or to take a pie home for friends and family. They also serve salads which looked tasty. Street parking is available just outside of the restaurant.

Tried classic slice for the first time and it was pretty good! It was a great thin crust slice and they had plenty of options to choose from. I got my slice to go however they did have seating inside for dining in. While the pizza was good, it didn't have as much flavor as I would hope for. Additionally, it was a little expensive as this slice came in $9 for one slice. The slice was pretty big though. Not a top pizza place for me in Milwaukee but would recommend trying this place out!

The pizza was phenomenal, some of the best in Milwaukee. Incredible hand pinched sausage, to die for pesto topping, and a great crust that while thin, holds form to eat.

Such a fun little spot in Bayview area! Lots of options on the menu so even my kiddos were happy! Slices as big as their heads! Food was made fresh so there was a bit of a wait which was perfect because we had time to play some of their old school games they have. For being busier place they still answered all my questions and were friendly. The outside area is cute and inviting as well!

Hands down, best pizza in Milwaukee! Made fresh to order, with obvious love, don't skip this spot! Their garlic knots are so good it's almost sinful. From the hot handmade slices with all the toppings you could imagine, to the freshest burrata salad, nothing on this menu should be off limits. Great stop after any night out in Bay View. And the servers are always happy to see you. We'll be regulars for life at this one.

Let me start by saying this: I've never been to NY but if I ever do I want my pizza to look and taste like classic slice. One slice is enough to fill you up for 2 days. It's oh so cheesy heaven. They have the regular toppings along with some nice concoctions. The vibe is pretty chill and they have great customer service. It's a small cute retro place and they have arcades ! And a nice little patio. I don't ever wanna have pizza from any other place ever, kudos Home Slice

It's a fun space and felt very welcoming. The chilaquiles were fantastic! They make their own hot sauce in house that was a good addition to the dish, along with chorizo. Highly recommend this one. It was also a huge portion and ended up feeding me for two meals. Make sure you get here early to avoid the extremely long lines; we planned to be there right when it opened and by the time we left, there were already people having to wait outside. Worth the wait though!

We reviewed the menu while we waiting for seating, which took far longer than we wanted, more than 30 minutes standing in the cramped lobby area with a bunch of other people. Hats off to their host for being friendly and even a little entertaining and I like that you can order coffee at the register area and drink it while you wait. Too bad you can't get a cocktail out there. The menu sounded great and we were ravenous so we were excited to order. By the time we were seated we were limited to about 40 minutes to get to a ticketed event, all in. I told that to our waitress so she could pace the meal accordingly. While I understand that she can't control the kitchen time, I don't think she showed any expediency or attention to my statement. Spoiler alert - we were late. Two of us ordered the biscuits to start with jam. I was happy to try them and they were good. My coffee based martini hit the spot, but it was spilled a little when it hit the table and our server didn't say anything or wipe it off. My mom liked her bloody Mary and it was decent. When our food came I was immediately disappointed by the appearance. My chilaquiles looked like they had sat under a heat lamp for ages - the egg was dried and over firm. My chips were spicy, but 100% soggy and nasty. My black beans were - meh. Not a good dish overall. My mom actually didn't find fault with her Honeypie Benedict. I tried the hollandaise and it was fine. My cousin did not enjoy her Hopple Popple skillet at all. (Potatoes, bacon, caramelized onion, mushroom, bell pepper, cheddar, two scrambled farm eggs) She found it difficult to find any egg, as it was apparently shrunk into tiny bits. The potatoes were like fries and it was overall bland. Not a winner. We certainly won't be back. The dishes don't live up to the interesting descriptions of them and the hype seems to be from an earlier, better time for this restaurant.

I was in need of something small to sustain me briefly, so I ordered a London Fog and the special scone (rhymes with "gone"), that day a delectable-looking chocolate chip with chocolate drizzle. The Fog was most interesting in that it was topped with nutmeg, which I adore. To be honest, for some reason the combination of the regular London fog and nutmeg reminded me of some medicine or unloved candy from my childhood, but it wasn't so offputting that I didn't finish every last drop. The scone was hands-down the best I've had outside of Scotland. That sounds like hyperbole, but it's not; it's honest. The texture was impeccable for my personal taste as I prefer a moister, cakier scone. This one was that, a perfect scone with a perfect number of chocolate chips and a perfect chocolate drizzle. This pastry alone (and whatever other flavors the bakers produce) will get me going back again and again. The establishment was very clean, I found some of the chairs to be uncomfortable, I thought the mix of lighting fixtures was interesting, and I enjoyed the sunshine pouring in through the garage doors. It was surprisingly quiet because everyone there was on a laptop. It does make me worry a bit about coming in with children or with a friend to have conversation, but we can all get along. :)

We found St. Francis Brewery was open on Yelp. But, then we were confused--we thought they'd closed down during COVID. Turns out both were true. They did close down. They are now open. New owners, newly renovated, new vibes, new menu. And, they are hoppin! We got our name on the list and were told it would be about a 30 minute wait. We noticed most folks coming in had reservations so good to know that they do take reservations. We were happy to wait though. Plus, they have a literal throne you can sit on while waiting, which we encouraged my husband (aka the winner of our ping pong tournament at home that evening) to rest his weary self upon. After about a 25 minute wait, they had a nice spacious booth for our party of three. They immediately brought us a plate of these lovely little soft pretzel balls with some beer cheese to get things started. I had one and they were delicious! Such a nice touch! I ordered a barrel aged stout which was good. And, for my dinner I got their caesar salad with grilled chicken added. It was perfectly dressed and the chicken was flavorful and delicious. Our server was friendly and attentive. The vibes are fun. They have a piano player who played upbeat tunes throughout our experience. The dining room was bustling with folks of all kinds from families to friend groups. The prices are reasonable. Honestly, a great experience from beginning to end. Get to it!
