I have been using the Ford service department for my Ford Focus I want to say Alivia my service person I use is awesome. She is the best person i have ever experienced. she is very knowledgeable and helpful in all I have needed. I highly recommend her. She helps me have my car picked up from my home and when they return it is so helpful. I can't ever get my car there without this great service. she sends me a live video showing the mechanic with my car telling me all he did. The mechanics and the guys that take my car back and forth are so aw and kind. Alivia makes fixing my car hassle free. Ford service in Mentor Ohio is a great place to help you! Highly recommend. Thank you again Alivia for your service! read more

Customer Service at Classic Ford is beyond piss poor. They sell you a car then forget you are alive. Took the car in for an appointment. We drop it off Tuesday after hours so it would be there on time for a Wednesday appointment. Did not get a call all day. When we followed up Thursday we got an excuse that they did not get to us yet. Friday after we called still not ready. My wife drove their and the slack service rep said they would drop it off on Saturday. Saturday the Service Director said they were not bring it out on Saturday because they were not staffed for that. Monday still no delivery..... Same director calls asked me what he can do for me after i left a detailed message with the phone attendant that also blew me off. The entire customer service team at Classic Ford seems to not understand their job..... The Customer works for and pays them to provide crappy service every time no matter how many time you call. Do not deal with them if at all possible.... They SUCK!!!! read more

Took the truck in for an oil change, rotation and an alignment. I knew this was a two hour job. I told the service writer I needed to be out at a certain time to get to another appointment. I was given a loaner truck. Tho, I only had the loaner truck for 45 minutes, my truck was finished when I got back. I settled up and drove away. But note, upon checking into Yelp, I received $10 off service! read more

I recently drove my 05' F150 from California to Painesville for college. I needed to get some maintenance on it and kept putting it off because I'm a broke college student and have a busy schedule as an athlete. Being on the younger side, this was my first experience going about fixing my car alone, and being new to the area I figured it'd be an annoying pain. It turned out to be the exact opposite. A young man named Josiah helped me out and took care of me like family! He made the process a whole lot easier and I can't express enough how much I appreciate him for it. The attention to detail and his patience with me was quite honestly some of the best service I've ever had. read more

First oil change: Had to add 1/3 quart of oil as the dipstick showed it wasn't topped off. Was supposed to wash the vehicle as well and didn't. Second guessing if I should use their service again. read more

I went to Classic Ford in Mentor this morning and as soon as I walked in I was greeted and helped by Michael. He was very efficient and explained everything throughly. He called the porter and a guy named Anthony came up to get the key and He came right back with my truck. I have to say it was nothing special but they were very nice and sweet young men. Honestly kindness goes a long way these days! Michael and Anthony deserve recognition!! read more

I want to give a huge shout-out to Olivia Brandt and her service manager Tom at Classic Ford service.. They went above and beyond to help us with some of the cost of getting the new car fixed . We appreciated it so much that Tom tried so hard to get Chevy to help pay for something, and they refused. So he cut us a break himself.. Thank you so much to you both.. read more

Classic Ford - New car. - Car Dealers Near Me - Mentor, Ohio

My 2012 Lincoln MKZ was not cooling at all. Took to Classic Lincoln service to see what the issue is. Left the car and was called with the diagnosis. Lines; condenser; and possibly the compressor all needed to be replaced at a cost of $1600+!! This seemed very stiff, since there had never been an A/C problem before. Told them, sorry that was way out of my cost range right now (COVID19 layoff status) and would have to wait. Got the paperwork when I picked up the car. Called S & S Auto Center down Tyler Rd from this location. Left my car and Classic paperwork with them. The next day, they called and told me what they did. One, the drained the A/C system. Checked all lines and connections; refilled the system and told me to pick up the car. They asked me to drive it until the A/C didn't work and then to bring it back in so they could see what really was going on. Well that was three weeks ago and NOT A SINGLE ISSUE with the A/C! Car cools almost instantly and stays cool. Cost: Less than $200!! Got to wonder what the hell Classic is trying to pull. VERY disappointed. read more

Kareem is an amazing salesperson. He is competent, efficient, patient and has a pleasant personality. He made the experience easy for us.

Sales and service department are top notch. I just leased my 3rd vehicle from Classic, 2021 Bronco Sport. Make sure you see Gregg Pike when your ready to purchase or lease a new vehicle, his knowledge and sales experience will get you in the vehicle that is right for you. read more

Perfect experience in buying a new F-150. The process was low key and Kareem Young was outstanding with providing options in financing and buying for cash. He delivered the truck to my home and explained all the functions of the truck. I have refereed 3 other friends to them. read more

Took my Lincoln MKZ in for second oil change and service, Did not reset the oil monitor, bent passengers folding side view mirror into front of car in the car wash. did not notice it until I was on my way home, had to turn around and return to service department where they re calibrated it. Both things should have been done before the car was released back to me. Service adviser Alex Romero was very helpful in taking care of the problems to my satisfaction. read more

Well we went on car search Saturday we went to 5 different places went to nick Mayer ford in mayfield hts Ohio that had be the most horrible experience of my life they tryed to scam us and take advange of us they pretty much told us we are dumb. Then we walked out and said let's go to classic ford in mentor. Wow let's just say the respect and kindness that came out was amazing our car salesman (Justin ales) was hands down best car salesman I have ever came across. We told him what we needed and he worked hard with us to get us what we wanted he put us where we wanted in our price range. My experience there was amazing I will be working with them for now on Nick Mayer ford has lost all my respect and business. read more

Two bad experiences here.. 2017 Escape had the spark plug weld itself in place due to a crack in the engine block that allowed coolant into the head. Ford has a tech bulletin on this exact issue. Ford would not cover anything since it was 8k over the power train warranty. They first quoted me $8k to fix but reduced the price to $5k. This was all rediculous for a 2 year old car with 68k mi on it. They had my car for 12 weeks before it was complete. The rep wouldn't answer any communications until he needed the loaner car exchanged. Now my wife's fusion has several recalls and one actually affected it, so it needed to be towed there. No charge to repair and cover the warranty work, but they charged me $100 for it being towed there. Yup, that's it, a Benjamin for the fact a tow truck brought it to them. The wife's car has already been traded in on a new Camry. No more Classic, no more Ford's. read more

Worst used car experience ever. 11,000 miles and dry rotted tires. Bad brakes and rotors. I've sold cars and bought at least 20 and i've never seen a used car go so fast. Service must have dropped the ball really bad because I'd never suggest anyone ever buy anything from there. Just guessing everything hit minimum requirements but that's not how you make a lasting customer. This is also under a year of driving the vehicle and now it's over a $1000 dollars of repairs. Take your chances if you want but like I said I also sold cars and have purchased alot and have never seen anything like this. read more

Amazing car buying experience!! I never once felt pressured and the service was outstanding! The day I went in to sign paper I was personally greeted by Jim Brown himself!! Our personal car salesman Logan Luthy was also amazing, always there when we had a question and on top of everything from start to finish. This was my first vehicle purchase from Classic and we will definitely return for the rest! Nothing short of amazing!! read more

I'm on car #4 with Classic Ford. Thier service is unmatched. I worked with David the Salesperson who got me in a new model than my old lease for $75 less a month. The team there will bend over backwards to get you the car you want for the best deal. Russ the Manager is kind and professional. Thier Service Department is exceptional as well. Efficient and accommodating to not inconvenience you while you car is in the shop. Nick in Financing was great as well, very fast and answered all my questions. I will never go to another dealership. read more

I ordered a car direct from the factory. While I had a nagging feeling that there should have been a little more room to negotiate for a better price, in the end I felt I got a price that was competitive. No shady dealings, everything was explained and transparent. Or representative, Jon Black, was the only sales rep among several dealerships that replied to my email inquiry with a hard number on the price, including the tax, title and other fees, which I really appreciated. The car ended up taking twice as long to build as originally estimated, given that I ordered between model years; this was not Classic's fault, but I would have liked more communication during that process. Despite these few hiccups, when it finally came time to pick up the car and finalize the paperwork, I had a very positive experience. The staff were all very courteous and quite friendly, the operation was quite streamlined and painless. And they even were nice enough to install my snow tire for me for my troubles. If I am in the market for a another car in the future and Classic's prices remain competitive, I would definitely use them again. read more

This is an update to an old review. I had been buying from Classic Ford for many, many years. Leasing and buying. 5 or 6 cars maybe. Always had a great experience. Both in buying and service department. Well. I have a lease now. I took my car in to them in September. I just got it back. 5 months later. 5 months being inconvenienced with a loaner I had to replace every other week. When I finally got my car back, it was filthy. I thought maybe after having it for 5 months they would have at least cleaned the thing. Nope. Filthy. Inside and out. Oil at 20% life. Tire gauge is on saying that ALL 4 TIRES ARE LOW. I drove off with it like this. Never have I ever been more disgusted. I will NOT be renewing my lease with Classic Ford. I can't wait to get rid of this thing. Shame on whatever happened to you guys over the past year. Worst service I've ever experienced. Let me add. They never called me once to give me an update. Not once. I had to call them. They DID finally call me in JANUARY to tell me my parts should be in next month (February). 4 months later. Let me also mention, the loaners were all half full to almost empty on gas when I got them. Including my car when I got that back too. This was absolute garbage service. Garbage. 20 years of car buying comes to an end with Classic Ford. What a shame. read more

After being a loyal Honda owner for the past 20+ years, I was very reluctant about leaving the Honda family. The team at Classic was a pleasure to work with. Bill and Jesse went out of their way to make me feel comfortable about my purchase. They both took their time to answer all my questions, never pressured me to make a decision and truly made me feel that I will have a great experience working with Classic Ford/Lincoln long term. Kudos to Jesse for going above and beyond with customer service! read more

Awesome customer service. Jared Gagich really went out of his way to make sure I got to work on time when I didn't have a car. All around friendly people, unlike a lot of other dealerships. read more

Fast and friendly. I went in to buy a used car and I don't think I spent more than an hour...hour 1/2 tops, and that's only because I had to finance. Brand new building with descent coffee. Salesman named Chris was very professional an nice, and he didn't try to sell me the entire store. read more

Between my husband and myself we have bought 5 cars here. The service department is awesome as well as the sales people.

absolutely the worst! NONE of the phone numbers on the website(s) work. No one will answer a phone. Would rather get parts online from someone who wants to do business. read more

We were on vacay from Oregon when our truck broke down. From the moment we limped on in, we were treated promptly, efficiently and with expert professionalism. Gave us all the warranty info. Told us we were covered for free loaner car, (other dealership never divulged that part) and found problem, got part, and fixed the problem on time. We are giddy, and happily on our way. Was so impressed with Classic and specifically Evan Salsbury. He was extremely professional and efficient in getting my car lease set up. I had a car from another dealer that I was almost over on mileage quite a few months before my lease was due up.I only had so much time to get the entire deal done and Evan went way over and above to make sure everything was as seamless as possible. I feel I received Gold Star treatment and this was my first visit to Classic but it will not be my last! Evan moved all the stuff from my old car to the new car and made sure everything was in the exact place as I had it. Who does that? Thanks so much Evan. read more

Not happy, called ahead to make sure they still had car we were going to buy, after driving an hour to get there, they are selling the car to someone else right out from under us.... Not good business practices! read more

Scheduled a Sat. appointment for my MKX to have "The Works", new brake pads and ABS light checked since it kept coming on. Was told just to look at (not fix) the ABS would cost $129! Left the car Fri. night and spoke with one of the service advisers about the issues and was told they would be taken care of. Never heard from them all day Sat. until I called and asked about the car. Was told the service department was closed and learned they never looked at the car (even though the paperwork and my keys were on the service dept. counter) Told them not to touch the car and I went to pick it up. I will never take any vehicle to this place again. And I would encourage anyone else to do the same. Awful, awful service. read more

Amiable sales staff, however not very flexible in negotiations, pricing. Also, sales rep we dealt with made promises that were retracted by his manager. In other words, they were not on the same page. That just does not sit well with a potential car buyer. Other than that, a good, comfortable experience! read more

I have had repeated negative experiences with this dealership. My car had issues with the transmission and shuddering, an issue common to this car, due to faulty parts to which Ford has provided an extended warranty. The first time a related part required replacement I was told it would be weeks, but it took months. The only updates I received were when I called. The second time the transmission (TCM) failed and the car was inoperable. The replacement part was on back order. I was told it would be weeks, so I requested a complimentary rental car as this was due to the faulty transmission. My request was denied, and no solution was offered. I left a negative review online, and suddenly I was offered a rental car, and the part ended up coming in within a week. This most recent issue was similar to the first, and again, the part was on back order. I called once for an update after a month, was told the part was still on order, and I never heard back. After months of waiting and continued shuddering I am leaving this negative review. I am very dissatisfied with the service I received, with the issues this car repeatedly experiences, and I do not recommend this dealership service department. On a further note, Ford has handled the dual clutch transmission issue very poorly, but the dealerships should also have done more to mitigate the issue as well. That could have made the difference between me staying with Ford versus now never wanting to purchase another Ford ever again. read more

Took my car in for service. Was told the part was on back order and it could be several months. Stated they would call when the part came in. 9 months later no call and I traded the car in at a different dealership. read more

My 5th vehicle from Classic Ford, all of which I purchased from Keith Ross. There's a reason for that.

Everyone there was professional, personable, friendly, responsive, and organized. Bill Cheraso is by far the best sales manager I've met and worked with. The place is very clean, and they always have coffee, fruit, and a place for kids to play. Highly recommended. read more

Couldn't be happier with the service I received at classic ford. Brian Chesney was amazing. He didn't pressure me and he really went above and beyond to help me get into the car I wanted. Went in with my husband to look at cars for my mother-in-law. We were planning on just taking a look around and test driving a few cars, but our salesman Greg. P offered us such a great deal that we decided to buy that day. Having done some comparison shopping before heading into the dealer, I knew what a fair price was and what our price range was. We spent a bit more that than (about $2,000 more) but really got a great car at a great price. Greg even found us more discounts than I knew existed (college graduate within 2 years? $500 off!). It was easy, fast, and fun. We are already talking about buying new cars for ourselves and are definitely planning on going back. read more

I would never buy from them ever again and that's any classic dealership. I leased a car that I signed on a late Saturday with them putting pressure on me to lease. I drove it home and notified them that the car was not for me and family being in a two door coupe wasn't working. Less than 36 hrs I drove it back to turn in and they told me they wouldn't take it back unless I lease another car on there lot so I didn't have the deck cards cause I had to pay full price with no negotiation on that car. I called other dealers and they say no dealer should ever put a buyer in that situation. read more

Decided to upgrade our ride this weekend and from the moment we walked into Classic Ford, we could tell this was the place to do it. My wife had her eye on an Explorer Sport for some time now and Jared Gagich met us at the door and in about 10 minutes we found the perfect one. From the test drive, to working out a deal that included a trade in, Jared walked us through every step and actually made the process fun. He put us first as the customer and lined up the whole crew at Classic Ford so that the process was totally streamlined and by the time all the paperwork was signed, that vehicle was ready to go! He was incredibly helpful, professional and walked us through all the features of the new Explorer. If you are in the market for a new or used car, you should put Classic Ford on our list for the first stop, it's likely it'll be your last stop! Everyone there is customer focused and there is no pressure, just stop in and see for yourself! read more
