Brought my car in for a headlight repair. Service department diagnosed it as a faulty module that would require a whole new headlight assembly at a cost of over $2,000 for a car with only 53,000 miles. I called the service department and ordered the assembly. When I didn't hear anything after 3 weeks, I called to find out the status. Nobody ordered the part! So I drove into the service department again and ordered the assembly again. They didn't know why it wasn't ordered the first time. They said they would call when it came in. Well after 6 days, I called the parts department to find the status of the order and they said it was in. I asked why I hadn't received a call to schedule the installation and they said to call the service department to find out why. I called the service department and they just said sorry nobody called. So I haven't driven at night for 3 weeks at a result. I've had my Toyotas serviced here for years without incident, but service has definitely gone downhill recently. read more

I got a notification from Toyota that the bracket that holds the battery in place was under recall. I scheduled the replacement at Classic. My Brother in Law has the same car and had scheduled his RAv4 before mine. The Techs neglected to "reinstall the battery insulation," on his car and he had to go back and request they put it back on. The insulation protects the battery from summer heat and winter cold. It also helps to prolong the life of the battery. I made a point to discuss this with my service lady. She wrote it down on the work order but the tech did not reinstall the insulation. Instead he put it on the floor of my car. Now I need to go back and arrange to have it reinstalled. The tech left pliers sitting on top of the radiator shroud. That could have fallen off into the fan and caused extensive damage to my vehicle, and possibly an accident. I had other work done at the same time but now I question whether they actually changed my oil, and replaced my engine air filter? This is not the way to run a Toyota Service Location! To say that I am p-----d is an under statement. read more

Some of the worst service I've ever encountered at a Toyota dealer. Moved to Lake county and own 2 Toyotas so I gave them a try. I wasn't impressed. I'll be making the drive back to Metro Toyota. I waited 1 hr and 32 mins for an oil change with an appointment. While I waited I was given nasty looks by a gentleman and female with dark hair. Very uncomfortable atmosphere. Not to mention a very dirty waiting area with soiled carpets. Tried reaching out to the service manager Nate but he never even called me back until after I posted my review. In my opinion he didn't really care much about our feelings he was more concerned about checking out their cameras to make sure no one took off our tires off when they inspected the brakes on our 2011 Venza. My experience was excellent. I went in to see what cars Toyota had which could replace our Jetta TDI. While there we fell in love with the Highlander. We made several trips to Classic Toyota to look at and test drive the vehicle. I sold my car prior to finding a new ride and quite frankly, I was sick of car shopping. I reached out to Chris McCarthy of Classic Toyota on the referral from a friend. I'd even procrastinated on calling Chris because I didn't want to drive all the way to Mentor, but...tank you friend for the referral because now, I have a great car! Chris took my list of requests over the phone, emailed me some options, and we scheduled an appointment. He took a couple hours on a Saturday to let me drive several cars and make a decision. Before we could make a deal, he made sure the car was serviced and "perfect" for me (if you haven't read my reviews before, I'm HIGHLY particular (some say high-maintenance, I say "particular")). I made the deal the following week via text. Yep, text. I work a crazy job and don't have time to take phone calls, so I made the deal via text, he called me after work for financing, (got me a great rate) and I picked the car up later that day. After dealing with dealerships and salesmen for the past month and getting the run-around, I didn't feel like I got that with Chris. He knew what my boundaries were and we stayed within them. My truck was due for a warranty repair. Service dept advised that they would need it for 3 days. I requested if another minor body repair could be done at the same time, they were happy to do so and ordered my parts. I received a call when my parts came in, confused that they asked for me to call back to schedule service. I called and service dept confirmed they are taking care of it at the time of warranty repair. When I came in to pick up my truck at 5:30p that Friday, I called ahead to make sure we were all set for the planned pick up time. When I arrived, I discovered my repair wasn't done. I asked the service representative why--she said she doesn't know and can't help me bc the service person who scheduled my services was gone for the day. Ok, end of the day Friday, I get it. She never offered for anyone else for me to speak to, I am in customer service, so I kindly asked if there was a manager or shift supervisor I could speak with about my concern. Everyone was gone. Never offered me for someone to give me a call on Monday. So I asked her if I could get a call back, and requested the service dept manager's name and number, just in case. No one called me that week. After several days, I very professionally and kindly advised the service manager what happened on a voicemail, and asked if I could get a call back to rearrange for service to be completed. Never got a call back from anyone. Not my service guy, not the service dept manager. No one. Really unprofessional, I have never had an experience like this with Toyota, or any dealership for that matter. Will not be returning. read more

Not only did our sales guy, John Haak (who was really fun to work with), get me the best deal by far on my Sienna compared to all other Siennas within 100 miles, but they also did the little things like give us free maintenance for a year, fill up our gas tank, and give us a replacement van for a day while they put leather in ours. This is my 2nd car from Classic Toyota. Although in the end I am happy there were some difficulties in purchasing, picking up and financing through Toyota. I am happy that the GM did his best to make things right, he was responsive to my needs and treated me with kindness. I felt the salesman unreasonable. He assumed I knew nothing yet opted to have me test drive prior to explaining the controls and features. I felt he spoke down to me - including simple things like explaining the gas cover issue was because it had not been used (wrong- it was missing a spring). When my financing was blocked for a freeze; he asked for my security code rather than wait until I could make arrangements. When I went in to sign documents, the value of my trade in was less in the typed copy than it was on the signed agreement; having already had issues with the salesman it was difficult to accept this was a typo since more than oone figure and information had changed between typed version and signed agreement. I had an appointment to pick up the car and had to wait. I picked up the car and had to return twice for issues, now resolved. Although in general I am satisfied I urge buyers to carefully check paperwork and any verbal information form the salesman; if the first salesperson is not respectful simply ask for a different salesperson. I wish I had worked with someone else. read more
