They were able to give me the best out the door price on my 2020 Toyota Corolla purchase when I bought it brand new in 2020. I took a paper copy of a quote I got that was higher from another dealership and they beat the price. 6 years later, no major problems with the car. read more

This place is a rip off even compared to other dealerships, they charge $1000 for just the labor to do a brake job. Got it done by a certified mechanic for $350. Also the craftsmanship is poor and sloppy and I have waited 3 hours for an oil change. Go somewhere else or they will continue to gouge. read more

Great dealership for purchasing a new vehicle. I just bought my 4th Camry. it is a 2025 Toyota Camry XLE Hybrid fully loaded. Our salesperson Lissandra is friendly and efficient. I highly recommend their service department. read more

Stopped in on Saturday to get a new key made. The person there could not do it, said the manager was not there that day. This is a very big dealership. I drove all the way from Ashtabula to get a key made and no one there could do it. Are you kidding me? I am furious. They said they could give me a new battery for my key. I need a new key! Possibly they could now pay for my gas and send me a new key. read more

Brought my car in for a headlight repair. Service department diagnosed it as a faulty module that would require a whole new headlight assembly at a cost of over $2,000 for a car with only 53,000 miles. I called the service department and ordered the assembly. When I didn't hear anything after 3 weeks, I called to find out the status. Nobody ordered the part! So I drove into the service department again and ordered the assembly again. They didn't know why it wasn't ordered the first time. They said they would call when it came in. Well after 6 days, I called the parts department to find the status of the order and they said it was in. I asked why I hadn't received a call to schedule the installation and they said to call the service department to find out why. I called the service department and they just said sorry nobody called. So I haven't driven at night for 3 weeks at a result. I've had my Toyotas serviced here for years without incident, but service has definitely gone downhill recently. read more

Mario, the salesman we worked with was great, was able to answer all of our questions and helped setup CarPlay etc. Billy in finance was a real piece of work. I shouldn't have to say no to an additional warranty over 12 times and that is not an exaggeration. Taunting little remarks along the way. I seriously thought about leaving. read more

I got a notification from Toyota that the bracket that holds the battery in place was under recall. I scheduled the replacement at Classic. My Brother in Law has the same car and had scheduled his RAv4 before mine. The Techs neglected to "reinstall the battery insulation," on his car and he had to go back and request they put it back on. The insulation protects the battery from summer heat and winter cold. It also helps to prolong the life of the battery. I made a point to discuss this with my service lady. She wrote it down on the work order but the tech did not reinstall the insulation. Instead he put it on the floor of my car. Now I need to go back and arrange to have it reinstalled. The tech left pliers sitting on top of the radiator shroud. That could have fallen off into the fan and caused extensive damage to my vehicle, and possibly an accident. I had other work done at the same time but now I question whether they actually changed my oil, and replaced my engine air filter? This is not the way to run a Toyota Service Location! To say that I am p-----d is an under statement. read more

Some of the worst service I've ever encountered at a Toyota dealer. Moved to Lake county and own 2 Toyotas so I gave them a try. I wasn't impressed. I'll be making the drive back to Metro Toyota. I waited 1 hr and 32 mins for an oil change with an appointment. While I waited I was given nasty looks by a gentleman and female with dark hair. Very uncomfortable atmosphere. Not to mention a very dirty waiting area with soiled carpets. Tried reaching out to the service manager Nate but he never even called me back until after I posted my review. In my opinion he didn't really care much about our feelings he was more concerned about checking out their cameras to make sure no one took off our tires off when they inspected the brakes on our 2011 Venza. If you must go here ask for Sara she cares about her customers and is the only person I would deal with at this location. read more

Customer service was fine, however, took them 3 hours to do routine maintenance (oil change & tire rotation) and I'm pretty confident they pulled an air filter scam on me lol. read more

Classic Toyota is and has been our go-go Toyota dealer for a number of years! They provide good service and their sales team is not in-your-face pushy; however they do provide useful information and do listen to customer questions, concerns and responses. read more

Mike Manning was a great sales person to work with throughout the leasing process. Great communication, efficient, and was able to get the car that I wanted for me (which can be tough to come by nowadays). He walked me through all the features of the car and answered all of my questions. The financial office at the dealership was organized. The overall experience was great! read more

I have been following yelp on the auto dealer Classic. The review on them in general seemed nice. So this Saturday we headed as a family to look for a car. Brandon Knott was the sales person that we were assigned with. Asked a lot of questions, took us on test drive and was very patient with us throughout our decision on buying our car. Him and his manager worked together to help us buy the car. Now how good the car is I will update as I drive it. It's a used 2016 rava 4. And also their response and service. As of today I feel this was a good deal. It's only Monday. read more

I am late with this review but I bought my 2021 Limited Highlander in April when shut downs and social distancing were still a big thing.  I dreaded having to go to a dealership to buy a new car. Thought I would at least try to start the process via email and to my pleasant surprise Philip McGrath made everything happen and I never stepped foot in the show room!!  What a relief! Thanks, Philip you made everything so easy and a shout out to Rich and Rick for all their help. read more

Horrible customer service experience when dealing with a warranty issue. Couldn't get a straight answer from them to simple questions. Ended up going to Metro Toyota where they helped me get in touch with Toyota corporate. Classic Toyota is a joke. Definitely have purchased our last cars from there. read more

Classic Toyota made the car buying experience very easy. And their prices and promotions along with the Toyota Certified Used Car Warranty make the decision to buy a no brainer. The sales staff was transparent and friendly. Derek took very good care of us from the moment we walked up to the building. The finance manager Brianna was great, wrapping up the sale and making the details of our transaction very clear. She even gave us toy cars for our son! Very cool. We will definitely recommend Classic Toyota to our friends and family, and of course to all of you Yelpers too. read more

Everyone here is very helpful, considerate, and real. Brandon Knott was great and made our buying process easy. We got the deal we were wanting and our happy with the end results. We were disappointed when the van we wanted was already sold but they did make it better by having another brought in. The final buying process did take longer than planned though. Over all we are happy with Classic dealerships. read more

I was totally impressed with this dealership Brandon, Jen and Rick were the best. Just purchased my 5th vehicle, in 14 years, from Mike Manning at Classic Toyota. Mike truly understands the importance of treating customers well and their should be a picture of him in the dictionary under "Customer Service". It's hard to find sales people today, who understand the meaning of honesty, dependability, combined with follow up and exemplary customer service. If I did not feel this way, I would not travel from the Columbus, Ohio area to do business with Mike and Classic Toyota in Mentor, Ohio Dave S Westerville, Ohio read more

My experience was excellent. I went in to see what cars Toyota had which could replace our Jetta TDI. While there we fell in love with the Highlander. We made several trips to Classic Toyota to look at and test drive the vehicle. Each time we were greeted warmly, and regardless of weather Eric, our salesperson, was available, there was always someone to help us within a short time. After looking at several other car manufacturers, and their Highlander equivalent, we settled on the Highlander. The very quickly found the car that matched our needs, in terms of features. Eric spent a good hour going over some of the features. The car is beautiful and just what we wanted. read more

Rich Lothman was very kind and patient and treated us with respect even when I expressed some frustration over the prices right now and no deals but he got us the best deal he could and I hope we will really like our new truck. Just traded in my 2014 Rav4 leased SUV for a 2017. I have to say it was one of the easiest and most efficient transactions I have ever had a a dealership. Joel Gazella handled the sale and was extremely professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and a real nice guy. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a vehicle. Brianna in the finance department was equally efficient and terrific in taking care of her end of the sale. This is our second vehicle with Classic Toyota and I am sure we will be back and the end of our lease. Warren F., Highland Hts read more

I sold my car prior to finding a new ride and quite frankly, I was sick of car shopping. I reached out to Chris McCarthy of Classic Toyota on the referral from a friend. I'd even procrastinated on calling Chris because I didn't want to drive all the way to Mentor, but...tank you friend for the referral because now, I have a great car! Chris took my list of requests over the phone, emailed me some options, and we scheduled an appointment. He took a couple hours on a Saturday to let me drive several cars and make a decision. Before we could make a deal, he made sure the car was serviced and "perfect" for me (if you haven't read my reviews before, I'm HIGHLY particular (some say high-maintenance, I say "particular")). I made the deal the following week via text. Yep, text. I work a crazy job and don't have time to take phone calls, so I made the deal via text, he called me after work for financing, (got me a great rate) and I picked the car up later that day. After dealing with dealerships and salesmen for the past month and getting the run-around, I didn't feel like I got that with Chris. He knew what my boundaries were and we stayed within them. AND I got a really great car, that I'm happy with. If you need a car, go to Classic and ask for Chris. You'll be glad you didn't waste your time with other dealers & sales people! read more

My truck was due for a warranty repair. Service dept advised that they would need it for 3 days. I requested if another minor body repair could be done at the same time, they were happy to do so and ordered my parts. I received a call when my parts came in, confused that they asked for me to call back to schedule service. I called and service dept confirmed they are taking care of it at the time of warranty repair. When I came in to pick up my truck at 5:30p that Friday, I called ahead to make sure we were all set for the planned pick up time. When I arrived, I discovered my repair wasn't done. I asked the service representative why--she said she doesn't know and can't help me bc the service person who scheduled my services was gone for the day. Ok, end of the day Friday, I get it. She never offered for anyone else for me to speak to, I am in customer service, so I kindly asked if there was a manager or shift supervisor I could speak with about my concern. Everyone was gone. Never offered me for someone to give me a call on Monday. So I asked her if I could get a call back, and requested the service dept manager's name and number, just in case. No one called me that week. After several days, I very professionally and kindly advised the service manager what happened on a voicemail, and asked if I could get a call back to rearrange for service to be completed. Never got a call back from anyone. Not my service guy, not the service dept manager. No one. Really unprofessional, I have never had an experience like this with Toyota, or any dealership for that matter. Will not be returning. read more

They touched my dash camera and deleted all the records that were in my camera without asking me, even the records before I visited them! and didn't tell me in the end! Do not trust them! Not only did our sales guy, John Haak (who was really fun to work with), get me the best deal by far on my Sienna compared to all other Siennas within 100 miles, but they also did the little things like give us free maintenance for a year, fill up our gas tank, and give us a replacement van for a day while they put leather in ours. They also, without any hassle at all, beat the interest rate at which we were pre-approved by our credit union. This was just a great experience in every way! read more

This is my 2nd car from Classic Toyota. Although in the end I am happy there were some difficulties in purchasing, picking up and financing through Toyota. I am happy that the GM did his best to make things right, he was responsive to my needs and treated me with kindness. I felt the salesman unreasonable. He assumed I knew nothing yet opted to have me test drive prior to explaining the controls and features. I felt he spoke down to me - including simple things like explaining the gas cover issue was because it had not been used (wrong- it was missing a spring). When my financing was blocked for a freeze; he asked for my security code rather than wait until I could make arrangements. When I went in to sign documents, the value of my trade in was less in the typed copy than it was on the signed agreement; having already had issues with the salesman it was difficult to accept this was a typo since more than oone figure and information had changed between typed version and signed agreement. I had an appointment to pick up the car and had to wait. I picked up the car and had to return twice for issues, now resolved. Although in general I am satisfied I urge buyers to carefully check paperwork and any verbal information form the salesman; if the first salesperson is not respectful simply ask for a different salesperson. I wish I had worked with someone else. read more
