I have a Kio Rio SX that had an expiring extended warranty, so I needed to get my GPS fixed. The warranty was only good certain places but I believed I had moved far enough away that I could go nearer to home and have the warranty honored. I knew what was wrong with the GPS as the people at Mentor Kia told me what was wrong, so when I made an appointment to have it repaired there, I told them the problem and said there might be an issue with the warranty company. They charged me $130 for a diagnosis on a problem THEY told me had and then called the warranty company who refused to honor the warranty. I feel I was ripped off for $130. The service advisor said her people do not work for free (which I certainly agree with), but the amount for a 5-minute look at a problem they had already diagnosed was unreasonable. They also knew there might be a problem with the warranty company, yet they did not verify the status before ripping me off for $130. This whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth about this dealership which had always been great in the past. What makes me madder is that not only did the service advisor refuse to bend on the fee once I realized what was happening is that I contacted the General Manager who did not even bother to respond to my complaints. read more

Once I disclosed my medical condition, the interview was halted before we even discussed pay. I was told "I'd be great for the job, but they'll conduct more interviews and let me know with a call next week." I never heard back despite holding my breath there'd be an opportunity to me. Extremely unprofessional, and borders on the line of legality. I believe they rejected my application because of my medical condition. Purchased a 2024 Mazda CX-30 from this dealership and had a very disappointing experience. The vehicle was listed on the CARFAX as having been inspected by the dealer before being put up for sale. However, within 3 days of purchase, the car began displaying multiple serious warning messages including engine malfunction, dynamic stability control malfunction, and safety system errors. I visited the dealership expecting assistance given how quickly the issues appeared, but they refused to take responsibility because the vehicle was sold "as-is." While I understand what "as-is" means, selling a vehicle that develops major electrical and safety warnings within days of purchase raises serious concerns about the inspection that was supposedly performed before listing the vehicle. I am currently pursuing diagnostics and exploring options through Mazda and consumer protection channels. Although the Carfax report appeared clean, the manufacturer's dealership discovered clear evidence of prior front‑end damage on the driver's side during their inspection. According to their technicians, this damage should have been identified by any qualified mechanic, especially when the vehicle was originally purchased by Ken Ganley Kia from an out‑of‑state dealership in Oct 2025. Tried to cancel contract before it processed through, Managers would not return calls or were not there when I came in. Shortly after my purchase, the vehicle developed engine issues within the first week. Ken Ganley Kia refused to buy back the vehicle or address the mechanical problems. Instead, their staff dismissed my concerns, stating that because the loan had been approved, the car was now my responsibility. This review is in no way docking the work your employees are doing - but whoever manages your website needs to update the website to give a heads up about construction on site. Worst experience ever! Buyer beware! I went in for a standard 35k mile service which consists of an oil change, tire pressure check and rotation, multi point inspection, etc. The next morning I was at the airport when I received a critical alert for low oil. My tire pressure sensor went off for all four tires. I went to the gas station to pop the hood and check. They did not replace my oil. The engine was bone dry, my tires had not been touched. ** Yesterday was so terrifying. I had such a life altering experience that will forever change how I view "services rendered" I LITERALLY ALMOST DIED YESTERDAY! Yes you read that correctly, I was going 80mph (speed limit was 70). On I90 eastbound when I heard a horrible noise thought ok something is wrong but the car seemed fine to keep driving. Traffic started to slow and get congested, I attempted to stop and the brake pedal went all the way to the floor (something that I have never felt and it took the life out of me and induced the kind of panic that I felt was death right before my very eyes). I couldn't get over all the cars where whizzing by me, with one lady pulling next to me at one with all these hand gestures and I'm screaming finally put on hazards and called ppl speed dial when no answer I finally called 911 and said I'm going to die my car won't stop, as I'm praying and thanking Jesus ℹ luckily was able to swerve and stay in the middle of traffic causing a huge stir that someone else had called 911 as well. As i am on with the operator I was able to get off at RT 44 where my car spun in a circle facing the oncoming traffic and at that moment i just closed my eyes and knew it was over. REWIND, last week I took my car to KEN GANLEY KIA IN MENTOR for drill brakes and rotors all the way around, Red flag 1, was told a price which changed when I got the the shop, ok never mind that. Red flag 2 credit card fee was astronomic wasn't informed until I was ready to pay. Secondly after almost losing my life the I was told by the tow truck and ultimately the dealership the tech forgot to put my bolts back in. Hello friends. Today I'm going to share with you my nightmare experience with Mentor Kia. I had to take my 2021 Soul in for a recall. The entire engine had to be replaced! I had a time reserved for said repair and a rental car ready. Or so I thought. I was dealing with a fellow in the service department whose first name starts with an N. He's allegedly been there for awhile...how, I don't know. I brought my car in, they took it right away, no problem. It's when I come to find out that I'd be renting a car from Hertz is when the real fun began. They expected me to foot the bill for a rental car for 3 days because well, "we don't have one of our own cars for you to use". I refused to pay a damn cent for any of it and ended up stranded at Kia. Yes, stranded...as in sorry about your luck b*** stranded with zero transportation. I had to have my neighbor give me a ride home because N offered no alternative remedy to the situation. No offer of rescheduling when they would have one of their cars for me to use. No nothing. I was so rattled by the situation that I had to remove myself from the building before someone called the cops. I couldn't wrap my head around what just happened. I've never in my life dealt with a more cold, calculating and horrible customer service. So, my husband calls later on that night and talks with the GM, Mr. W. We had arranged for someone to pick me up at my house the following morning to take me back to Kia because they "found" a car for me to use. We get a phone call around 8:00 a.m. and they said that um...no, we don't have a car here for you afterall. But, if you come back up here, we'll send you (back) to Hertz with the company credit card! What the actual hell is going on here? So, the saga continues. We go back up to Kia that evening. Of course no one had any knowledge of the situation. At that point, we just asked how far along our car was with the engine replacement. We were told it was just installed. Okay, fine. We decided from that point on that we were just going to avoid any further problems and just wait for the car to be finished the next day. Meanwhile, I was still without transportation. This brings us to day #3. I did receive a follow-up call mid-day from N, letting me know the status of the car. And then another call letting us know that the car was ready. Okay, great. We go back to Kia for the third time to pick up the car. Thankfully N wasn't there. Instead, we had a nice young fellow wait on us. He 1000% took care of us, got us in and out lickety split. He even waived the fee for our cabin filter replacement. They washed the car but left me with less than 1/4 tank of gas, after test driving it around town. Nice. And N threw the contents of my glove box all over the front seat and floor because he was looking for my insurance cards. Really classy there. So, in conclusion, 1 star for the young fellow that was a superstar when we went to pick up our car on day #3. Unfortunately, I'll have to drive 40 minutes to Bedford from now on. I did not buy a car from this dealership. Unfortunately, I do get all my service done here. A few of the service folks have been fairly decent. However, I had today a faulty battery on my new Telluride, (less than 30k and less than 3 years ALSO I paid for an extended warranty!) I live 30 minutes from the dealership. After calling all morning on the Friday of a long weekend, (and getting no answer) I decided to remove the battery and take it up to the dealership. (a tow would take a long time, and I had no appt. I would have lost the car all weekend) So, as I got to the dealership, they told me that they couldn't just replace the battery, they had to tow the car to the dealership to ascertain that the battery was bad. WHAT? I save us both thousands in time and aggravation, they wouldn't budge. They verified ny VIN, my identity but still made me buy another battery. (at a discount thankfully) These business practices are incredibly bad and give car dealers the reputation they have. what happened to the "customer first attitude" Ganley just buys more dealerships but won't honor 3 warranties that I qualified for. To start off, this dealer is horrible and the only reason they're the "#1 kia dealer in Ohio" is because they can sell you a car. Don't get me wrong, the sales guys and finance guys were nice, but the service and management are not. Originally I purchased an ev6 which died 2 days later, and spent over a month in the shop until a replacement was given. Originally the GM, Michael arnoff was very helpful in getting that replacement, and I even deleted my original review at his request since they made it right. The following Friday when I was in for recall service and to address some issues and concerns I already had with the replacement, his attitude turned hostile, and that "he already lost enough money on this deal, so he's done dealing with it" and puts the blame on me that they sold me a car that died 2 days earlier and replaced it, and not to kia themselves. Moving over to service, as I had issue still needing to be resolved, it took multiple visits, with the advisors acting rude, or like youre crazy, or not testing the issue you presented, because the techs could not recreate the issue, but then once I drive with the service manager Brian, he can tell, and the tires get replaced and thats, that right? Not, there's still an issue, with the breaks, and now a sound is being made from the tires that I've had to go back in multiple times, but they say can't recreate it, yet it's present when I drive it home, I've show them videos before, and after the tire replacement They've pulled my car through the shop and I've watched it get pulled right back around into intake and be left there for an hr, until they come back and tell me nothing is wrong. Or that this new sound that's never been present is actually normal and has always been there. With the last time taking the cake, with the service advisor Erica, become hostile with me, saying they weren't doing anything about my brakes without even looking at the tech line ticket, and then says to me " we already replaced your tires, what do you want us to do"...well the issue started after you put on the new tires, and you putting on new tires doesn't matter regardless, because if there's an issue then it's your job to diagnose and fix it. 2015 Optima check engine light came on, and engine is running really rough. I tried to schedule an appointment, and they made me wait over three weeks before they would even look at it! Then they tell me that the engine is shot, and needs to be replaced! Even though I have a ten yea, 100,000 mile warranty, they will not honor the warranty! I told them do not want them to do the work. I go to pick it up, and they charge me $150 for the analysis, and an additional $80 for an oil change... Who would do an oil change on an engine that needs to be replaced??? If it was possible, I would rate them with negative four stars! read more

My experience with sales was great... 4 months ago. Since then my experiences with both service and parts has been abysmal. The advisors have been condescending, calling me "dear", communication severely lacking and I currently have a 4 month old car that cannot safely drive until these departments get their act in gear and obtain the necessary parts to fix it. When I expressed my concern that I am now without a car I was told "well technically you COULD drive it". That is not safe or reasonable advice. My experience with service was similar with them sending me away with the car in worse shape then when I arrived (to get a recall fixed) and they would not listen to my concerns until corporate got involved and let them know it was their responsibility to troubleshoot why the recall fix didn't work. Frankly, my experience with these two departments has completely changed my view of this company and place and, despite being in the market for another new car, I certainly will just be returning here for that said car. read more

So my 2026 Kia Sorento's engine seized. Thankfully I was still under warranty and the Kia warranty covered a full engine replacement. Nothing was wrong with my car before the engine seized. Ken Ganley had my car 2 1/2 months. I was very patient. Only called for updated a couple times. Never offered a loaner car until a week before I picked up my car. Only to bring it right back the next day or so. They gave me my car back with my dash lit up like a Christmas tree. Barely moved down the road. Couldn't even get up a hill on an overpass. Traction light stuck on. Does the traction vibrate at take off often. Steering wheel completely sideways. Whole alignment is off, wearing my brand new tires. Brought my car in for routine service and it was damaged while it was there. Brought it back the next day to show them the damage and they denied everything. I politely reached out to the GM and received no response. Spoke to another manager there and they continued to deny they did anything. So my car was fine, brought in for an oil change, and then leave with damage but it's not their fault? I was shocked. I will never buy or service another car with this dealership. I was charged for FOUR add on insurance policies that I didn't know I had, oil changes (paid $240 the MAX I can get back is 200 SCAM!) and a maintenance policy that I paid $5000 for when the Kia warranty already covers anything on a brand new car. Then a tire wheel policy, paid almost $2000. Disgusting and a total scam, Horrible experience. The car is great, but don't use these people. read more
