Pat Schudel. Without fail this man has single-handedly shown what it means to be a service professional. Ordinarily your service writers at auto dealerships up here and disappear on a frequent basis and there really is no stability but not this guy. This guy came with the woodwork. We are on Q7 number 2 from Audi of mentor and it's not just the sale that the service after the sale. Every single time this guy just does not fail to exceed all expectations. This particular Audi dealership has customers from as far away as Sandusky Columbus and Erie PA. Why? Aren't there Audi dealers in those cities? Yes but it's the service that you get at Audi of mentor. Shuttle service: they provide a shuttle service where they have a number of retirees that will drive you back and forth if you just need a ride home or they'll come pick your car up and then bring it back after service. What? Most dealerships also do a video where they explain what they found but the tech that worked on my car was particularly detailed and oriented to resolving my issue. Which was also followed up by a phone call and email from Pat. I went to go get it last night he said no don't worry about it we'll just deliver it in the morning and lo and behold at 8:30 in the morning my car showed up. For reference our Q7 was a Audi certified and we get treated like royalty at this place. Guarantee you we are going to go back. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Several years ago I went to look at a used Audi. The sales person gave me the keys and said to check it out. The vehicle was not for me and I explained it to the sales person. The next day she called and yelled at me for wasting her time. She was very rude and unprofessional. Flash forward to present day, I did purchase a new Audi A6 from a store in Columbus. I have been having some troubles with it. I spoke with Audi USA about it and the issues. They contacted Audi Mentor, explained my issues, and asked if they could do the service on a Saturday, as I work during the week. They said they could not, but they could have someone pick up the vehicle for me. It took a week to get a hold of someone in their service department. When I finally did, I explained Audi USA told me they would pick up the vehicle for me. At first he said he would not because the vehicle was not under factory warranty. When I explained it is a 2024 and is absolutely under factory warranty, he now said they would not pick up the vehicle because I did not buy it from them. He was very rude. We called to have our 2025 Q7 serviced with an oil change and recall notice. It took 4 calls and messages for them to call us back, only after we told them how many times, we tried to contact them for service. We were told to drop it off at 7:30 am. They said it would be 4-5 hours for the service. We TRIED to call them at 5:30pm and only got their voice message machine. We again called them the following morning, only to leave a voice message. When we finally got a call back (10:30am), they said they will call back at 1:00pm, and here itis 2:30 and still NO CALL BACK. Terrible service dept. read more

Audi of Mentor are the least trustworthy car sale professionals I've ever worked with. They sold me a used vehicle that they knew needed considerable work done with the suspension. I didn't feel the insane bounce on the test drive because their test drive route was unusually smooth but the next morning, the car was riding like a trampoline. I then spent two hours at the dealership just for them to gaslight me into thinking I'm crazy. They tried telling me I simply wasn't used to the "premium" suspension when my kids were being thrown around in the backseat. The used car salesman and sales manager literally walked away from me while I tried to explain what I was experiencing. When I finally got ahold of them after the dealership visit, they offered to give me a "discount" on service but I had to buy the parts myself without knowing what was actually broken. Before I took their ridiculous deal, I had a local shop look at the car. They found that the shocks were completely locked and my front rods were incredibly loose. If that joint had disconnected or broken on the highway my family and I could've died. I ultimately decided to have the local shop fix the issues because the labor was cheaper than the discounted price Audi offered me and they were actually interested in fixing the problem. I understand I signed an as-is agreement (even though that wasn't disclosed by the finance guy at the time while my kids were running around his office) but this is such an unprofessional way to treat a customer. The fact that these "neighbors" felt comfortable putting my family in a vehicle that wasn't even road-safe is unconscionable. I would expect this type of behavior from a place called "Bob's Used Auto Lot" but not from a Penske-run Audi dealership. These people appear to have no interest in selling safe cars, being upfront with their customers, taking care of their clients, or even just being helpful. I've learned my lesson though; I'll never buy another car from Audi of Mentor and I want as many people as possible to know how they do business. read more

Let me start by saying I feel like I never have pleasant experiences at car dealerships. I contacted Audi Mentor online and started working with Steve Armstrong. He was absolutely amazing and such a pleasure to deal with. He sent me personalized videos of the car I was interested in and we continued to talk via text, email and phone for over a week. The car I wanted was a rare one (RS6 Avant) so it wasn't easy. In the end, I ended up accepting a deal with another dealership, but Steve was a pleasure to work with and not your typical sales person...give him a shot !!! read more

I feel the need to re-rate this location simply because of how harshly I've been screwed over by my visit here. I purchased a used car here 3 years ago, just wanted a simple commuter car and ended up purchasing a 2006 Jeep Liberty. The salesman reassured me that the car was in good condition and the finance guy processed all the paperwork. I take this car home and within the 1st week I have to take it to a shop because the heat isn't working and it's making odd noises. Turns out the Radiator was completely shot, the back break line was practically being held together by tape and many other issues including extensive exhaust work and transmission issues; not to mention the company financing the vehicle informed me that the finance agent added an additional cost for gap insurance to my loan by playing it off as "included with the vehicle" which I figured meaning no extra cost to me. I contact this location about all of my issues and find out that the vehicle was never even inspected prior to selling it to me, it's was fresh off of auction. The General manager offered $500 to assist with initial repairs towards the radiator (which was $650). And I was stuck with replacing the break lines, and the many other repairs to follow. Over the 1.5 years I kept the vehicle I was paying 1000's of dollar in repairs every few months to a point where I had paid more than the vehicle itself is worth just in repairs. I ended up voluntarily giving the vehicle to the company I financed with after 1.5 years of payments because I simply couldn't afford to keep up with the repairs. I'm now stuck with a practically unrepairable credit score and a collection on this vehicle for the remaining $2200 completely due to me trusting these guys and their negligence to ensure not only that I was receiving a functioning vehicle with all the facts, but also my safety while operating the vehicle. read more

I was shopping for a particular Audi, an Audi A7 Prestige. I fell in love with one that was at the Audi dealership at this particular location. My wife and I drove almost 200 miles, to look at this car with salesman Steve. He was very nice in explaining the car was in excellent condition, took it for a quick test drive. He worked with us to stay around the payment range we were hoping for. There was a boxed rim in the trunk that we asked about and it was explained away as we were getting an extra rim, he went on to tell us how reliable these vehicles are, that this one, again was in excellent condition..... We wanted to purchase the vehicle, but were leaving for Florida the next day, so he made arrangements so that we could have it in our possession before our trip. Upon our return from our trip, the check engine light came on and we noticed some shaking when braking. We immediately took the vehicle to the Audi dealership on Hamilton Rd in Columbus, Ohio and to our surprise we got a big bill, the vacuum hose needed replaced, the front rotors were warped and ALL THE RIMS on this vehicle were damaged and needed to be repaired in the sum of almost $2400!!! OH and I forgot, there was a RECALL on the fuel line that hadn't been fixed either! We called the Mentor dealership asking if they could rectify this because we had only driven the car for less than one week because we were out of town, we were even willing to bring the vehicle to their location for them to make the appropriate repairs. Do NOT get me wrong, I understand when buying a used vehicle that you will come into some maintenance because it is used. But the 30 day tags are still on the car and we have driven the car less than 400 miles 200 of those miles were driving home from the dealership! To have WARPED rotors and bent/damaged ALL 4 rims? On a luxury vehicle? WOW! That is the kind of shady shabby business practice you get from a buy here pay here car lot, not a prestige dealership that deals with luxury foreign vehicles! I have NEVER dealt with such a shady dealership with SUB PAR business practices, ESPECIALLY one that deals with LUXURY vehicles! The Audi dealership I took the vehicle to, said they would have fixed the issues without question if we would have purchased a vehicle with them. I know next purchase, will be from the Audi dealership in Columbus, Ohio on Hamilton Rd! They were taken back at the response we received from Mentor Audi! I purchased a used Buick from the dealership near my home, the water pump and thermostat went bad and they brought it in and fixed it as a gesture because we were a repeat customer, without question!
