I dealt with a person over the phone who quoted the price of the car four times when I went to put money down on the car. Suddenly the price changed. I talked with the sales manager, John, who was aggressive and defensive to talk to. it was going to be his way or the highway. Sims Buick GMC - It's just what I wanted!!! Fully loaded 2012 GMC Terrain SLT model - Car Dealers Near Me - Euclid, Ohio

On 7/16/21, I took my 2015 GMC Sierra Denali to Sim's Buick GMC in Euclid Oh for an issue with my radio, towing system & a stabilizer link. Under the impression that all were under warranty. Adam (Service Writer) later advised me that none of the items were covered via my warranty. I purchased a warranty with "Tech Shield" due to the high amount of electronics in the truck. Accepting facts, I decided to have them complete the radio repair. The display on the infotainment system was compressed or jumbled if you will. Adam told me that the only way to repair the issue was to have 2 radio updates installed. The cost for the updates out the door was $286.20. When I picked up my truck Adam was out to lunch. When I got in my truck, the same issue was present. I pulled back in the service drive thru and advised the manager. Another service writer entered my vehicle to look at the display. He stated "Oh, this is an easy fix." He then took his finger and with a swipe move the preset radio stations back to their proper location. I asked him is that simple. He stated that's a radio feature. I immediately felt like I had been had. I spoke to the Service Manager who simply stated, he didn't know and that he would have Adam call me back. After speaking with Adam, he continued to lie. He told me that the updates were the only way to correct the problem. By then I had researched on my.gmc.com and found instructions for updated the software on the infotainment system. He continued to tell me that special computer equipment was needed. I asked speak to his manager. He told me the manager wasn't available. I requested a call back. In addition, I requested a call back from the General manager as well. I received a call from no one. In addition, the radio display is clearly stated as covered on my warranty contract. Note: During the era of COVID-19. The tech left glove wrappers and disposable mask in my vehicle. For this, I was charged an astronomical $5.00 for in shop supplies. read more

The second time we were there giving this particular vehicle a twice over, we felt rushed by Dan (new car manager) as it was Friday evening and he admittedly disclosed the fact that he had a personal matter to attend to. I purchased my vehicle from this place. Loved my sales person but I hate the service department. I experienced an issue within 30 days of purchasing this vehicle and the Service Director tried to argue with my about fixing it. Someone else had to get involved in order for the service department to fix it. Fast forward to today, i scheduled an appointment last week to take my vehicle in today due to a loud knocking and oil consumption issue I have. I received a notice in the mail from GMC advising about this issue and to take my vehicle in if it applied. I didn't want to bring my vehicle to sims because of what happened last time. However I decided to give them another shot. I come in and give the sales advisor David Paul the letter I received from GMC and you could immediately see his facial expression change to annoyed. He goes and talks to Ron Cidor about the letter and I can hear the talking negatively about me. They try talking me out of having this issue fixed and tell me I had to pay then just to diagnose the problem. However my letter states diagnostics and repair are covered. He tells me no I had to pay for the diagnostics today. I tell them it's all about money with you guys and both Ron and David proceed to speak to me ask if I'm stupid. I can tell they don't want to be bothered with this issue and so I leave shaken and in tears because of the early they treated me. I've contacted GMC and I'm awaiting a response. This is not how you treat your customers and there shouldn't be an argument every time a person brings there vehicle in. No matter if it's due to a service issue, recall or manufacturer issue. read more

My car looses power when I drive, very scary. I took my car to Sims Buick GMC three times to try and solve this issue. The first time (09/14/20) they said it was my radio that was draining the power, they removed my radio fuse and replaced a ground wire on the air mass sensor, total cost $135.00. On 09/26/20, the car still looses power, cost of tow $60.00. I called Sims and they said I would have to start over and pay to have the car diagnosed again. The second time (11/05/20), they said that the key ignition switch had a short in it and that this would fix the draining of power issue, total cost $594.14. I picked my car up on Friday, (11/6/20) at 3pm. My car was completely dead by 6:15pm the same night, cost for tow $60.00. Sims Buick Service Department closes at 530. I called Saturday morning. Ron Cidor, the service manager states that he had no one available to service my car, and told me to contact them on Monday morning. Terrible news to hear. Monday (11/09/20), I called and ask if a refund for the 594.14 is possible since the part obviously did not fix my issue. I was told no and to bring the car back. Today, Sims Buick state that now I need an alternator. I asked how much would it be and was refused service. I asked to have the owner contact me. Ron calls back approximately an hour later stating that he spoke with the owner Doug Doerr and they rather not repair my car/alternator nor issue a refund for the key ignition repair. They asked me to come pick up my car. They informed me that they charged my battery, and that I should be able to make it back to the mechanic that replaced the alternator. Why have me bring the car back to refuse me service. Just unbelievable, this is the worst customer I have ever received. read more

If I could copy and paste my email i just received back from the Director of Fixed Operations Ron Cidor I would. I booked a service appt and about an hour later i was emailed that they were booked this entire week. I emailed the guy back asking how come their website is never up to date as this was the 3rd time of me having this issue and I recommended that they utilize someone to keep their website up to date. Lastly, I requested that the general manager's contact info be emailed to me. Then I received an email from Ron Cidor basically telling me that I am never satisfied unlike their other 11k customers anf thats how they were able to stay so long in business. If I could give a 0 star I would let me start by saying THE EXTENDED WARRANTY IS NOT REQUIRED I REPEAT NOT REQUIRED TO FINANCE WITH ANY OF THE BANKS! Also make sure when you are signing you are aware they will do an E-Signature in which they will lie and tell the bank that you are in front of the computer and YOU ARE NOT!!! I was given all my paperwork at the end with little knowledge of anything besides my monthly payment not my interest rate not when my first payment would be due! Overall my experience here was awful and I wish I never went here in first place once the sale is done they could careless about you! I asked if they would fill the tank considering the gas light was on and Steve the finance consultant scheduled that day said no the most we can do is half tank! Now I don't ever ask much of a dealership but if I pay 19000 for a vehicle I except a little respect by at least filling the tank up but nope and they gave me a half of tank of gas and a half ass car wash didn't even vacuum the seats! To make matters all worse after speaking to the bank and they insisted on me going into the bank and speaking with the finance manager Bruce that sealed the bad business mark for me! As I was explaining to Bruce about the situation between me and Steve and how I was advised I HAD to have the extended warranty for the bank to finance me he said no one in his dealership would do something like that and he can't speak for Steve! Instead of empathizing with the customer he just said he wasn't there and no one would do that at his dealership. BUT IN FACT THEY DID THEY INCLUDED IT BEFORE EVEN GOING OVER IT WITH ME! So I was explaining all this to Steve he just continued to read the paper in front of him as if what I was saying didn't mean absolutely anything. If you want a great buyer experience AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST ITS NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE AND LIES! I had an absolutely horrible experience at Sims Buick & GMC, particularly with the service department. I have a GMC SUV and it was having an engine malfunction. I had initiated a claim with GMC customer assistance, hoping that they would aid in the cost of the repair since I was just a couple of months out of the factory 5 year/100,000 factory warranty. GMC customer assistance advised me to bring my SUV to a GM dealership to obtain a diagnosis. At that point they would review my case and decide whether or not they would provide financial assistance with the repairs. I dropped my SUV off at Sims Buick GMC service garage to obtain a diagnoses. Two weeks passed while I was using a rental car at my own expense. The service department manager, Ron Cidor of Sims Buick GMC finally contacted me, stating that they were unsuccessful in diagnosing my vehicle and that I would need to commit to paying at least $3,000.00 to obtain a diagnoses due to complications. They also stated that if I decided not to move forward with the diagnosis or repairs that I would be required to pay a balance of $330.00 just to retrieve my SUV in the exact same condition that it was in when I dropped it off 2 weeks prior. I was extremely unhappy with this result to say the least. Not to mention the fact that due to their inability/refusal to diagnose my vehicle's malfunction, GMC had denied me any financial assistance in repairing my vehicle. It even specifically states in the final print out that I was given when I picked up my vehicle that the misfire in my engine was likely due to a sticking exhaust valve. All Sims had to do was report these findings back to GMC headquarters and I would have at least had a 50/50 chance of obtaining some financial assistance with getting my SUV repaired. I have analyzed this situation from every possible angle and I cannot seem to figure out why the dealership would not report back to GMC with a valid diagnosis. They had nothing to lose and everything (including my business) to gain. I am bewildered. I contacted and voiced my displeasure with Ron Cidor, the service dept. manager. He was extremely rude to me, raising his voice on several occasions. Ron also stated to me earlier on in this process that he would use "his influence" to "fight this giant" with me. My interpretation of this was that he would do whatever he could to help me attain financial assistance with my vehicle. Ron later contradicted himself, stating that he had "little or no influence" in what financial assistance was handed down from GMC headquarters. I later met with the Doug Doerr, the service department director only to be told that had I been an existing customer and had I previously spent money at Sims Buick GMC that he would be more inclined to assist me with my vehicle and its issues. I played a recording of my conversation with Ron Cidor to Mr. Doerr and asked him how he felt about a customer or consumer being talked to/treated this way. Mr. Doerr's response was simply, "it just sounds like two guys haggling/arguing to me." He also said to me in a direct fashion, "you're not a customer, you're trying like h*** to be, but you're not a customer yet." I'm not sure if this was his way of "earning" my business, but needless to say it didn't work. Finally, Sims attempted to charge me a fee of $330.00. I refused to pay due to the circumstances mentioned in the above text. The only reason that they didn't charge me in the end, is because I refused to pay. With all things considered, after two weeks with my vehicle out of commission, rental car fees, and hours spent on the phone, I ended up exactly where I was before contacting Sims Buick GMC. I was treated very poorly and I strongly suggest to anyone considering doing business with Sims Buick GMC to make an educated decision, using my story as one reference point. I wouldn't wish this type of service or treatment upon anyone. I consider myself to be a pretty fair and compassionate individual and I understand that the sole purpose of doing business is to make money. However, no one should be allowed to treat a consumer the way I was treated without consequence. In my final meeting with Mr. Doerr, I made it clear to him that if I walked out of his office without any further resolution to my situation that I would proceed to use any resource at my disposal to pass along my experience with Sims Buick GMC to other consumers. I also went so far as to record conversations held between Ron and I, as well as Mr. Doerr and I. Ron Cidor took it a step further and personally attacked my father and I because my father coincidentally knows the mechanic who serviced my vehicle at Sims Buick/GMC. Ron attempted to lay some sort of a guilt trip on me, accusing me of "stiffing my buddy" or "I'm going to go stiff your buddy."I made it clear to all involved that I was dissatisfied with the dealership and not the mechanic. I brought my car in because of loud noises in the wheels. As it turns out I was driving my car with the rear brakes engaged for "quite a while". The car had 24K miles on it and it was not considered a defect. I was told by the repair man that it was my fault since I didn't bring my car in to have my brakes greased. The other issue was the horrible winter we have reeks havec on brakes. My car is parked in a garage, and does not sit out in snow. The car never displayed a warning light on the dashboard that there was a problem with the brakes. How would I know that the back brakes were engaged? The car ran normal and there were no warning lights. Until it started making noise I had no idea that there was a problem. When I tried to debate the ownership of the problem, the guy got more and more aggravated. He also told me that my tires were feathered and needed rotated and balanced or I would be replacing them at the end of my lease. When I told him I rotate at every oil change and he persisted that I had a choice, rotate and balance or buy 4 new tires when I turned in the lease. I've been a customer of SIms before and have not had such an awful experience. Again, he did nothing to pursue with the warranty that there were issues with the brakes. It was my neglect for not having the brakes greased and the harsh winter weather. I've driven cars all my life and not once have I had my brakes greased. As for the harsh winter.
