Strawberry cream & Hokkaido Milk Tea
    Tiffy H.

Friendly service with a good selection of milk teas and smoothies. I enjoy that this place is different than the Irvine location, where you have to order before sitting and you don't get to make your own boba like this location. Unlimited toppings too?! Ambience is welcoming. Would come back if nearby.

A couple days local means I'm back at Class 302. Absolutely a must for me to get a drink and decided to get some popcorn chicken to finish it off. Decent service today, and very busy!

Drinks: I got the Jasmine Milk Tea and it was sweet but really yummy. They have a ton of drink options and toppings, and it's self-serve which makes it fun to customize. They let you taste test the flavors before you decide, which is a nice touch. There's also food but I have yet to get the chance to try it. Service: The workers here are super friendly and conversational. I honestly enjoyed my time because of how chill and welcoming the staff was. They also seem to get along well with each other, which adds to the good vibe of the place. Ambiance: The shop is super clean and bright, with some seating available. It's definitely a popular spot, and it's easy to see why. Just a heads-up, Apple Maps says they close at 11pm, but they actually close at 10pm. So don't get upset with the staff for that if you come past 10pm!

It's rare to find a self-serve boba place nowadays, so I was looking forward to trying it! On a Saturday night, all the seating was full, but we had no issue getting around to our drinks. You pay for a certain size and are free to add anything you want (WOOO for unlimited toppings). It was such a fun experience to try all the flavors and choose from the variety of toppings. The boba was the perfect chewiness and sweetness. My only wish was that they had an option for unsweetened tea so that I could dilute some of the sweetness. Everything is pre-sweetened, and it was just a bit sweeter for my taste. This place is great if you're a fan of toppings, but not if you're looking for high-quality tea. For the reasonable price and unlimited toppings, I say Class 302 is worth a try!

The food here was surprisingly good. I really enjoyed the beef noodle soup and the taiwanese sausage. The noodles had good texture, the beef was tender, and the soup was very flavorful. I would definitely get it again. I wasn't the biggest fan of the pineapple curry fried rice. Maybe next time i'll try a different kind of fried rice. The staff was helpful and nice. I didn't get to try their drinks this visit, but I think i'll try them next time I visit

They have an amazing selection milk tea, tea, and smoothies. It is cool you could create your own drink. They have sample cups for you to try before you commit to a drink. You pay for the size of the cup and add as much topping as you want in your drink. My favorite is the Jasmine milk tea and milk tea. Their drinks are on the sweeter side, I am usually a 75% sweetness or less sweet person. So I love that you could ask them to add unsweetened green tea to balance out the sweetness. Their boba is a good chewy texture, just how I like it. Their food is good too. My usual is the pineapple curry fried rice and bbq chicken. Their popcorn chicken is a great choice as a snack.

    Beef noodle soup

I ordered the beef noodle soup and I was disappointed it came out in a plastic bowl. I wanted to eat in for the restaurant experience and eating with plastic made my experience feel very cheap. The soup was way too salty. I went to a different location in the past and had a much more pleasant experience. Definitely not coming back.

This place was fun and cute! You get to pay for the cup size and then can try all the teas and toppings before deciding what to put in your cup!! I really liked this experience as it was super unique. Only thing is the sweetness level is not adjustable. Service is nice and friendly.

302 Noodle Soup 肉燥湯麵, Steamed Broccoli 燙花 椰菜, Fried pork chop

Ok, we might just be idiots for not realizing that this is mostly a boba shop. They don't even have shaved snow - a sign near the register says that they stopped serving it in 2020, and pretty much everyone in the restaurant had boba - which we did not get. We got the popcorn chicken and fried rice combo, and the fried pork chop and house noodle soup. I asked for mild on the chicken, but it was so spicy I couldn't eat it. I actually asked them to remake it and the girl at there counter said they'd make it plain (she was nice about it). But I think they just replaced the spice with salt because it was really salty! The fried rice was greasy but reasonably tasty - it had little bits of crunchy salty pickled daikon in it, which I'd never had but was delicious! Bonus - it came with one piece of broccoli, so there was at least some veggie in my meal. Pork chop was boneless and decent. SO said the soup was not authentic. Overall, 3 stars.

Due to my deep disappointment at my last visit 6 years ago, I had not returned. But I figured 6 years is a long time, maybe things have drastically changed. I was sadly disappointed and mistaken. The fried rice was just as tasteless and salty, and the fried pork chop was just as greasy and paltry. The boba was still huge and decent. My recommendation is to skip the food and go straight to the self-assembled boba mix.

Sad to see that their last day is May 11th. Would highly recommend people to try before their last day. Our latest visit was during lunchtime on a weekday. We were greeted upon entering and were told to choose whichever table we wanted. We ordered a Wintermelon Tea, Fried Pork Chop Rice, and the Century Egg Tofu. Food and tea came out quickly. Everything was so good and felt like comfort food that family would make. The pork chop was seasoned well and came with a tea egg, and vegetable sides of broccoli and tomato as well as soup. The tomato side reminds me of this tomato egg that we eat often. The century egg tofu was delicious. The tofu had a great texture -- soft, creamy, but also dense. The sauce that it came with was sweet, salty, and garlicky. The century egg was good. The winter melon tea was light on ice, well-balanced, and not too sweet. Overall, giving Formosan Restaurant a 5/5. Wish we started coming here sooner. Staff are nice, service is quick, prices are great, and the food is delicious. Highly recommend people to try if they haven't before. Will definitely be back before their last day.

Ate them right after they were ready. Got the signature flavor for both. The potstickers weren't crispy at all. Are they supposed to be? Fillings for potstickers and dumplings were mediocre and pretty bland tasting. Hot and sour soup- honestly I've had better but they were pretty good. It was probably the best thing I ate out of everything I ordered which is sad considering that their speciality is supposed to be dumplings. It's sour, slightly hot but could be hotter. Decent amount of toppings too. Combo 8- the default is pork chops but online they let you choose chili pepper fried chicken, which is what I opted for. Also comes with choice of noodles and either soup or a drink. Chili pepper fried chicken was pretty much inedible. The pieces were so chewy I could not even bite it apart. It was crispy and the chili sauce was great, but the chicken needs to be improved. Sesame noodles- very bland sesame flavor. Noodles were a bit overcooked. It's decent but nothing special. Wonton soup- this was a $2 up charge and honestly the worst mistake I've ever made. The wonton skins were breaking apart to a point where it's ready to disintegrate. I guess they're not cooked fresh. Tasted like they were swimming in soup for hours already. It's extremely disgusting to eat. Service is ok. The ladies spoke in such a low voice it was very difficult to hear over the loud music.

We arrived on a Saturday evening, and the server and chef were both in the kitchen. The server came over and gave us menus before getting our drink orders. She was prompt in a very caring manner without ever seeming rushed. She had lots of suggestions as we asked questions about the menu. At some point, the chef was sitting with us, and she asked him clarifying questions for us. She even went back into the kitchen to find out which vegetables were the freshest (which I appreciated)! We ordered a cup of ginseng and goji berry chicken soup, chicken cream corn soup (with egg), ong choy with garlic, walnut shrimp, crispy tofu, and green scallion pancake. As each dish came out, it felt like different instruments in an orchestra being highlighted as they wove into the tapestry of the music. The ong choy built onto the soup, the crispy tofu onto the ong choy and soup, and so on! Until there was this grand harmony of pulsating flavors and textures! I thoroughly enjoyed each dish! I only wish I had a bigger appetite so I could eat more and faster! The server helped us to pack the leftovers.
