I normally don't go to bars anymore, but this place has a cute tunnel entrance and weezer was playing. So I went in. Drinks are reasonably-priced. Vibe was cool! People are chill. Wide-age range of customers were there. They have 2 pool tables. They even offered free hot dogs (just tip please). Old school since 1957. We rode our bicycles from Cerritos so I was thirsty for some beer. I enjoy hanging out at dive bars as the patrons are usually very friendly and approachable. They offer beer on tap and luckily there was a table we could sit at and watch the Dodgers game. They accept credit cards which is a good thing. read more

The best place to go in Seal Beach to watch Football games and have fun is hands down Clancy's! The open on the wknd and there's always hot bartenders working the early Fri- Sun! They will even change the game for you if no one else is watching. For sure you can catch your game on many of the big TV's they have there. I think it's 7 or 8 tv's. I love the fact that this bar feels like home. Everyone is always so nice and friendly. They also have one of the best bathrooms for a "Dive Bar" ha ha. Spend hours there last Thursday with my dog, she is well behaved and she made many friends, male bartender never said a word about the dog, today I return thinking it was fun last week, female bartender rudely inforns me that dogs are not allowed, if it was not for last week I would not have been as embarrassed, especially by her disrespectful way of saying it. I live very close by, so naturally I wanted to try every bar and restaurant on Main Street. One Thursday night I tried this spot out and found it relatively a chill place to hang out at. Clancy's isn't a huge bar by any means but in its simplicity, you'll find its just a bar to hang out and drink at. I got myself a beer and hanged out the counter for the night. There's a pool table, a television and music machine to play some tunes on. There many bars on Main street, if you want something simple or a dive bar atmosphere stop by here for a drink. read more

Cheap drinks by the beach, good customer service once your served. But very slow service otherwise they would get 5 stars.

Clancy's has a very local feel to it, with seemingly mostly regulars drinking at the bar. I'd definitely classify it as a dive as the decor, bar, and carpet are pretty outdated. Maybe it's just during COVID, but the reason for the two stars, is their draft beers are being served in small plastic cups, but still priced at $6.50. Pretty pricey for something that took 2-3 drinks to finish. After entering, there are a few tables distanced for COVID and, of course, no seating at the bar. It's a small place, so the two pool tables take up about 2/3 of the bar space, but they have one covered with plywood to increase "seating" right now. There is a nice outdoor patio in the back. Right now, you also have to buy a half sandwich and a small cup of potato salad for $3. I understand they have to do that, but other places have offered better pizza/sandwiches for a lower price that are way tastier. Overall, there are too many better options on Ocean Ave. to spend your time and money. read more

Literally stood at bar for at least 5 full minutes before the only bartender even acknowledged me. I was told they have great bloody Mary's. It came without a single garnish, not even a singe olive. The worst bar I've ever walked into. No freedom of speech allowed. I had a private conversation about God to a man who wanted to talk about his faith. We went to Clancy's last night and ordered seven Cactus Cooler shots. Apparently, we didn't tip the bar tender even though we THOUGHT we did. He became so pissed and REFUSED to serve me or any of my friends the rest of the night. He made a huge scene in front of everyone. I said, "I'm so sorry. I thought I did. I gave you all the money my friends gave me and I'm sorry." He said, "I don't care. I already told you why I'm not serving you. I'm not going to tell you again." He continued to refuse to serve us. Best Irish bar in Seal Beach! Hands down the place to go for great drinks, super service and really cool locals. Everyone is nice! People start dancing randomly and having a good time. Stopped here with the boys for a few beers and some golden tee. Nice dive , clean with lots of games..two pool tables, Jenga and other board games. Nothing special in the way of a drink menu and the service was neutral. But between the awesome juke box and overall nice vibe, this joint is a keeper. read more

The owner was our bartender and he was super rude making comments about us to the other female bartender. First time was when we asked for extra limes and the second time I had apologized for the broad comment about making a "Tasty shooters" since I know any bartender hates those girly orders. He proceeds to make comments about it to the female bartender in ear shot range. We have a strict policy of leaving a good tip regardless.
