Second time coming here for a Chelsea match with my buddy, who's part of the OC Blues fan club--this is clearly the spot for Chelsea games. Fun group of guys, good energy, and a true match-day vibe. This time I ordered food, expecting basic bar fare, but was pleasantly surprised. The ABC burger (avocado, bacon, cheddar) was freshly made and legit tasty. I went with the side salad instead of fries--solid choice and better than expected. Good portion size, too. Service was great and impressively quick for a packed noon kickoff. Chelsea won 4-0, which never hurts, and I washed it down with a cold beer--mission accomplished. Typical pub atmosphere with a cool little outdoor patio if you need some air. One heads-up: parking is strictly enforced with a two-hour limit, but honestly that lined up perfectly with the match length. Would absolutely come back--especially on match day.
Irish pub right by the water?? Strong drinks and hearty food to cap off the end of beach day! Came by Sunday afternoon and they had a 90s cover band rocking out the hits! Fish and chips is any easy go to and friendly waitresses make it fun place to forget about anything and everything that may be bothering you.
We ordered the fish and chips and potato skins. Fish and chips served with Cole slaw was really good. Cole slaw in my opinion was delicious. Potato skins seemed undercooked for my liking. Service was excellent she took care of us well. My only complaint was the loud mouths at the bar area was hard to get passed and quite obnoxious for being older grown men??? What ever. I have low tolerance.. sorry
I visited this establishment and tried their Corned Beef Sandwich. I asked that they do the sandwich without some sort of onion spread and they honoured that request. The sandwich was excellent. In fact the sandwich hit the spot. Perfectly. If I was to grade strictly on the sandwich alone this establishment would get a perfect score. Alas that is not the case. Washroom is satisfactory, clean and paper towels were available... good. There was a band that played part of the time... just a bunch of loud noise in my opinion. Even when the band was not playing the ambient noise level was very high. I am dinging this establishment one point due to the noise level. I have a general complaint about the personal appearance of one or more of the guys who work at this establishment. One or more of the men who worked at this establishment wore his shirt untucked. I consider that to be highly unprofessional and inappropriate. I am dinging this establishment one point for allowing guys to wear their shirts untucked as this is something I am OCD about. If I was to assign a letter grade as is done in school, this establishment would be in there solid with a "C".
This Irish Pub has been around for years in the heart of Main Street of Seal Beach I've been coming here since I was a young man with my family. I have always looked forward to visiting this treasure, the dining room is pretty nice and rustic Irish setting, the customer service is excellent the staff is very welcoming and friendly, the Guinness on tap is out of this world delicious when it comes to the entrées and appetizers they are pretty good not the best but good. I recommend if you are in the Area stop by and check this joint out and relax and have some fun.

Been coming here for years and it's pretty consistent with drinks, food and all around great pub feel! Was raining today so wanted to come in for breakfast and sit by fireplace. Service was good and overall cost was not too bad! Tables were sticky and obviously could've used a good wipe down but other than the hat, I do enjoy coming here.
Great beer and company. This is a pub for fans of English footie. Ambience is great. It is very conveniently located near the beach. They allow dogs.
The food was amazing and exquisite, probably one of the best burgers I have ever tasted. Would definitely recommend the BBQ Guinness burger to anyone. Servers were very kind and friendly . Would 100% recommend coming here.
We came here on a whim, seeing the big sign on the street. Best decision we made for a Saturday Fun Day. My fiancé loves Irish food and Irish whiskey, this place serves both. We got Irish sausage rolls and shepherds pie both delicious, the sausage rolls had crispy breading on a lean beef, savory and comforting at once. The shepherds pie was the best we have had, the service was incredible. The gentleman at the bar was kind and providing recommendations to my fiancé that is always on the fence. Overall this is a great pub and would definitely come back again, come join them and it will be worth it. The wooden tables and lively Irish energy will invite you in.
We have been to O' Malley's on Main before. Located on in Main Street in Seal Beach ) the quaint street of local shops and restaurants across the street from the pier), this place is pretty popular. Each time we've come it has been packed. This is an Irish pub complete with beamed ceiling, wood arches and a fireplace. There's are banquettes upholstered in the perfect fabric and banners advertising beers strung from the ceiling. Parts are a little worse for wear, but that hasn't affected it's charm. There is a bit of a surprise that you can't see when you walk in--a charming patio complete with a fireplace and wishing well covered with vines. Unfortunately, they weren't seating on the patio. Our server was very sweet and attentive even though she was clearly very busy. The menu is what you'd expect in an Irish pub, traditional Irish food--shepherds pie, boxty, fish and chips, and corned beef and cabbage. Of course there are wings and burgers, too Between the four of us, we had the salmon boxty, fish and chips, shepherds pie, and a burger. Everything was good, although the burger came out cold. Like always, there was no room for dessert.
Good brunch....bloody Mary's were very good... the Irish eggs Benedict wee outstanding with the corned beef hash...the spinach florentine Benedict was also delicious...a ton of food...potatoes were above average, nothing to be excited about...service was good, waitress came around several times to make sure all was well...ambiance is an Irish pub, nothing special here, have been to many better as far as decor goes but. The food is definitely worthwhile...
We didn't eat we just ordered drink but we like time service from the bartender and we like the music, we went on Sunday and tgey had a band.

I was born on St. Patrick's Day, so I've always had a thing for Irish pubs. Everywhere I live, I end up searching for the best local Irish pub. About 8 years ago I lived right on Main Street in downtown Seal Beach, next to Armand's restaurant, Bistro St. Germain, and O'Malley's quickly became my spot. It was easily my favorite Irish pub in Seal Beach and honestly one of the best in the surrounding cities/towns too. For me it's ALL about the food. An Irish pub has to have some legit Irish fare, and O'Malley's definitely does, but what makes this place even better is that their regular menu is just as good. The fish & chips is hands down my favorite thing on the menu. The piece of fish is INSANELY huge. We're really picky about fish & chips, especially the batter, and theirs is exactly how we like it -- super crunchy and crispy on the outside, piping hot when it comes out, and the fish inside is still nice and flaky. And the fries... I don't know what they're doing to them, but their regular fries are ridiculously crunchy and crispy. Seriously some of the best fries I've probably had anywhere. The sweet potato fries are on point too. The potato skins are another must. Probably some of the best I've had anywhere and they are LOADED. Bacon, cheese, green onions, sour cream... they definitely aren't giving you one of those sad potato skins with three pieces of bacon sprinkled on top. We brought the kids this time and they loved our fish & chips so much that we ended up having to order another order. Then we realized they actually have Jr. Fish & Chips on the kids menu, which was even more perfect. Their kids menu in general is amazing -- grilled cheese, cheeseburger, chicken tenders, hot dog, quesadilla, fish & chips, shepherd's pie, beef stew... way better than the usual couple of boring kids options. Emma and Dillon were taking care of us and were both super friendly and attentive. Even when the place was packed and there were only a couple people running around serving everyone, they were still checking on us and taking great care of the table. Hopefully I got Dillon's spelling right! It's also surprisingly perfect with kids. The ambience is exactly what we need as parents -- lively enough that the noise and hyperness from our kids just blends into the pub atmosphere , but NOT so loud that you can't actually sit there and have a normal conversation. Just really good vibes. I'm also a HUGE supporter of local, homegrown restaurants, so whenever I find a place I really like, I try to promote them however I can. On our way out, I saw this cute older Asian couple standing outside studying the menu HARD. They reminded me so much of my parents -- analyzing the prices, looking at everything on the menu, probably calculating the cost-to-dish-value ratio and comparing it to every other restaurant on the block to make sure they were getting their money's worth. They looked like they were about to walk away. I had a feeling they were Korean, so as we were walking out I said out loud, "AHHH BAEBULLEO!" (아 배불러! -- I'm so full!) and then asked my daughter in Korean if she loved the fish & chips. Sure enough, that got their attention. I told them the fish & chips was SO good and used my hands to show them how ridiculously huge the piece of fish was. They immediately seemed happy to hear it and started asking about it. We walked around Main Street for a little while and eventually passed O'Malley's again and lo and behold... THEY WENT INSIDE TO EAT. That seriously made me happy. I love seeing good local restaurants survive and do well, so if I can convince even one more table to give a place I love a shot, mission accomplished. We live down in Laguna now, so unfortunately we don't get up to Seal Beach nearly as often anymore, but O'Malley's is still one of those places we'll make the drive back to for a special occasion. Six years later and it's still one of the places I genuinely miss from living on Main Street. Huge crispy fish & chips, insanely good fries, loaded potato skins, legit Irish food, great staff, great atmosphere, super kid friendly, and a local place I'm always happy to send more business to. I had some time to kill on a Sunday morning and decided to stop in for brunch after looking their menu up online. I'm a sucker for a good benedict, so I ordered their Irish Benedict, which is made with corned beef. This thing was loaded! It was so much food that I took about half home as leftovers. The corned beef was tender and juicy and went well with the hollandaise. I like a little more hollandaise on my benedicts, but that's personal preference. I had a tea with my meal, which was ok. I hoped that an Irish establishment would be better at handling tea than American places are, but I also understand it's a bar and most people aren't coming here to order a hot tea. There was a soccer game on when I arrived and the place was packed, but it cleared out pretty quickly once the game ended. This is a lively pub, not somewhere to come if you're looking for a quiet ambiance. That's not a bad thing, but I've noticed a few people mentioning it with surprise in other reviews so I'm pointing it out to help other people make choices in line with the type of dining experience they want to have. I personally didn't find the noise of the sports or sports fans overwhelming, and felt it added to the vibe of the place. I had one small issue while I was there and the manager was quick to make it right. I really appreciated their responsiveness and eagerness to make sure their customers are well taken care of. O'Malley's on Main rocks! Their fish & chips remain the star of the show, but with so many offerings, there is something for every tastebud. The weekday happy hour is especially good because it gives an opportunity to taste smaller sizes of different flavors. I spotted something on the happy hour menu that caught my eye, unfortunately a little too late, but that's my motivation to go back again soon. It was the curry chips. I love gravy covered chips, so I am thinking this has off the chart potential. Sitting pretty much in the middle of Main Street, Seal Beach, it's a great location to chill. Want to go shopping. No problem. Want to walk the pier? No problem . Wander then eat or eat then meander- both are equally awesome. Service is always wonderful and pleasant. Mid week just before dinner may be a bit slow as the bar staff also assist with tables. Helpful tip, there is a two-hour parking limit (free parking). But it ends at 6:00 pm. So getting there any time after 4:00 eliminates the stress. Go forth, eat, and have fun! read more

The beef dip sandwich at O'Malley's on Main was good, but what really takes the cake for me (pun intended), was their Chocolate Guinness Cake, which was absolutely delicious, rich, and flavorful - especially with the strawberries. I loved the cozy, rustic atmosphere and the woodwork that decorated the place. I need to try a drink at the bar next time! read more

I spent a Friday evening walking around Seal Beach with my in-laws. After our walk, my mother-in-law suggested we stop by O'Malley's for dinner. She loves ordering the fish and chips, but always substitutes the regular fries for sweet potato fries. I opted for the corned beef and cabbage, which came with a creamy white gravy that complemented both the cabbage and meat perfectly. The service was excellent -- our waitress checked on us several times and kept our waters refilled. The ambiance was typical of an Irish pub. It's one of my mother-in-law's favorite spots to visit after her walks in Seal Beach. read more

We had a great weeknight dinner here. The fish and chips come with a big slab of fish, not little fish sticks. Just like when I visited Ireland! The beef stew is very tasty, I wish it was lamb instead of beef, but that's not a deal breaker. Friendly service and accommodating for kids. Lots of free street parking at night. A little harder to find parking in the day due to beach goers. read more

Great service right at 11am soccer on all the TVs, all day Irish breakfast and Harp and Guinness on tap what more can you ask for in an Irish pub. An outdoor fireplace and indoor as well. Beautiful wood and classic pub feel to it all. read more

We had lunch here Wednesday at 12:00. That is prime time right? My buddy insisted that he needed corn beef, in honor of St. Paddy's day. It is a big open room with plenty of tables and stools at the bar. I have eaten here a handful of times over the years. I have never liked it much. The food is always rather disappointing, the service is always; meh. The ambiance is pretty much "smelly old bar". This place is so consistent! read more

Came here for Veterns day '24 and were pleasantly surprised at how delicious and filling our meals were. I got the ABC burger and my boyfriend got the haddock and chips(which were super meaty and flaky), with an appetizer potato skins. Everything was amazing and was just right. Our waitress was super nice and helpful. Thank you for having us! read more

It was our first time at O'Malleys and our first time trying Irish style breakfast. It came with eggs, baked beans, rasher bacon, pork pudding, sausages, tomato slices, and your choice of bread (we chose English muffins). The food was delicious. I was glad the waitress didn't say what goes into pork pudding because I probably would not have ordered it, and just stuck to my regular French Toast, but I'd say the light one tasted more like Thanksgiving stuffing. The darker one tasted like it had cloves in it. It was described to me as pork pudding starts off like a pudding and then we deepfry it into sausage patties. I was sold. And thankful afterward. The ambiance is that of a typical Irish pub. The waitress was kind and the food was superb. I couldn't eat it all because I was so full. Very full of proteins. It even had a fireplace to make it cozy. I'd eat here again if I were to go back to Seal Beach read more

Nice Irish pub in the heart of seal beach. We went in to just order a few drinks and hang out. The staff was very friendly and the service was very good. I didn't try the food this time but I saw a lot of the food that was served and it looked very delicious. I will definitely come back and update this review as soon as I have tried the food. read more
