Dry cleaner a very delicate white skirt. I dropped it off with coffee stains and it came back to me nicely pressed, pleats intact, and stain free. Looking forward to coming back in the future. read more

Disappointed. I've been coming here for a few years now. Over the past year, they have gone from $3.50 to $5.20 for just laundered shirts. If it was just inflation, that would be semi- understandable. But their reasoning for the price increase is because they have to hand iron my shirts now. Why, they never had to before. Extra charges just to make extra money is how you lose customers. read more

I'd been coming here for 6 years and the previous owners were just wonderful. It's now under new ownership and it is AWFUL. Items are still dirty upon pick-up, the new ownership changes prices every time you go in depending on how she feels, and is extremely rude. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. read more

I've tried all the dry cleaners in town having lived here for over 27 years. Wendy and the entire staff make it a pleasure to have them do my dry cleaning and alterations and repairs as well. I highly recommend them. read more

I have been using this dry cleaner for years and have never had a bad experience. I stopped using Bryant's Cleaners because the owner was unreasonable over a billing issue. I stopped using Fashion Cleaners when they continued screwing up the most simple special requests. Rosie at Civic Center Cleaners listens to special requests and I have never had an issue with the quality of their work. I heartily endorse them. read more

Place is decent. A little pricer than most places but decent. Small parking. I paid $20 for my coat to get dry cleaned and about $12 for my Dodger jersey. Pasadena prices!! read more

Dry cleaning is expensive, but for many articles of clothing - suits, silk shirts, custom wear, it is a necessity. Being reasonable, I don't expect dry cleaning to come cheap, I know the process is expensive. So, after reading many positive yelp reviews for Civic Center Cleaners, I decided to give the well established Pasadena fixture a try. When the older woman behind the counter said that dry cleaning and laundering were the same price for the shirts I provided, I didn't give the matter a second thought and went with her recommendations. Most of the clothing I brought was made of cotton, which could have been laundered. When I got home and looked over my ticket, I found out that the price difference for dry cleaning the cotton shirts at Civic Center Cleaners was actually more than double the cost of laundered items. I didn't appreciate Civic Center Cleaners misleading me on their prices... That really wasn't cool. Especially being a first time customer. Sum Up: if you want your wallet cleaned out as well as your clothing dry cleaned by all means go to Civic Center Cleaners - for me however, I'll be taking my laundered and dry cleaned goods elsewhere. read more

I've been using Civic Center Cleaners for about 10 years and when I found out that the ownership was changing I was concerned. I was concerned because they always did a great job. I continued to go anyway. Here's the great news, not only has quality maintained I think it's improved. Another positive is that with the new ownership comes along Wendy (manger at the Walnut location). She not only has years of experience in the dry cleaning business, she also has great customer service. read more

Surprisingly, we've been coming here for a long time but I'm officially switching dry cleaners. First, It seems like every item I get dry cleaned here comes back to me with a spot on it or with something on it that could have been easily removed. Then I have to bring it back/leave it there etc. It's in turn costing me more time and money. Second, they really overcharge. To have something laundered is maybe $.10 less than having it dry cleaned. For a shirt that can mean about $5-$7 to have something laundered. If everything came out great even most of the time, I would understand. But that's not the case. They've also told me some of my alterations would be ready on a certain date and when I come in to pick them up they're not done. A call would have been nice. read more

When I moved to Pasadena 20 months ago, I tried out several dry cleaners. Civic Center has the lowest rates of the three that I visited. The people are direct and easy to communicate with. They have someone onsite who can tailor clothes. read more

Very disappointed during my past visit. I have been a regular customer here when I travel over the past 3 years. Unfortunately my most recent experience was my last. They normally arrive after their opening time 6:45 instead of 6:30 as it says on their store - the tardiness makes things difficult when you are in a time crunch. Unfortunately ontop of that, they have messed up my orders multiple times and this last time was the last straw. All of this ontop of them opening late. I will be moving my business elsewhere unfortunately. read more

I brought all my dry cleaning here for over a dozen years but recently stopped. It looks like there has been a recent change of ownership has resulted in a decline in service. I brought a comforter in for drying cleaning. It as in perfectly good shape. After charging over FORTY dollars to dry clean the comforter, they returned it to me with holes and the down flying out of it. The new (?) owner refused to take responsibility. She refused to refund the money, much less replace the comforter. She even refused to sew up the holes. It's puzzling - Why would a loyal customer of over 12 years suddenly like about a comforter? And why would the new owner be so willing to lose a costumer who has given them thousands of dollars over the years? read more

We use this cleaners regularly, for both dry cleaning and laundry. Service is excellent, and staff and owner always ready to take care of special requests. Very convenient to drive up and drop off. Alterations also are always done professionally. Highly recommend them. read more

DO NOT GO HERE This place was recommended to me by 2 of my roommates who've both being going here for over 5 years. Unfortunately, I'll be informing them that this experience was a huge disappointment. A few days ago, I had 12 dress shirts cleaned here. This was the first and last time that I'll go to this cleaners. For some reason, 3 separate buttons broke off of one of my shirts after being cleaned. When I took the shirt back and explained the situation; the young lady working immediately got defensive and responded "We aren't responsible for the buttons". She also informed me that the only way she'd replace the buttons is if I paid for them to be cleaned it again. Clearly I'm not pressed about paying for the cleaning or replacing the buttons myself. However, it became verify evident that her AND the owner were willing to put a fight and risk losing a returning customer rather than doing the right thing. These people need a lesson on fairness and customer service. I've only worn 1 of the 12 shirts I've had cleaned here. I seriously hope all of my shirts are not ruined. read more

I found out about Civic Center Cleaners through a co-worker. I work full time and so I have dress shirts and suits that need to be dry cleaned each week. My shirts are always cleaned without any color changes and ironed neatly. They handle all my clothes with care and the price is very affordable. The service is great too, the owners are genuine and hard working. Dry cleaning has become a necessity for me and for me to have clothes clean and ready helps a lot. No need to think twice about going here for your alteration needs as well. I've had my dress pants altered twice and only took just 2 days. Highly recommend for shirts, suits, and pants and whatever else you might need. read more

I go to the Civic Center Cleaners every other week with my dry cleaning and laundry. They are always courteous and I have never had any issues with my clothing from them. After making the mistake of going to another dry cleaner in the area close to the office and being let down twice. I decided to follow the advise of my colleague and hit up the place he has gone to for 30 years. They are always fast, and never am I waiting more than one minute for my clothes. I have had a few broken buttons but that is the only problem I have had and they always replace them. They are friendly and attentive. They have a drive up driveway that makes quick loading and unloading easy. I will continue to go here, plus they are one block from the office. read more

I have been coming to Civic Center Cleaners for almost 2 years. Their customer service and cleaning was consistently average and sometimes good. A few weeks ago I picked up a few items of clothing and noticed a large brownish stain on one of my shirts. I'm quite meticulous about my work clothes, so I was a quite surprised by seeing this large stain for the 1st time. Just figuring this was a random situation where anything could have happened on my end or theirs----I asked if they could try to remove the stain. They agreed to take a shot (free of charge), but it didn't come out. So, I chalked it up as an inadvertent mistake by them or me. About a week later, I picked up a few more work shirts and noticed another brownish stain on a different shirt. Unfortunately, I was home when I realized the situation...and out of sheer laziness I never followed up. On my next trip to pick up my dry cleaning, I noticed yet another brownish stain on a shirt. Luckily, I noticed while I was still in the store and attempted to address the issue with one of the owners. I remained calm and told her about the chain of events. As I was telling my story, one of the employees started laughing at me. It was bad enough that three of my work shirt were ruined, now I had a snarky employee giggling at me-----as she believed there was no way the stains were coming from their shop. The owner was unwilling to find a reasonable way to rectify the situation and didn't seem to care about her employee's poor customer service. So, there was no reason to go kicking and screaming----it was time to find another dry cleaner. read more

This is THE WORST PLACE TO GO. NEVER EVER EVER GO HERE. I dropped my light colored comforter off to be cleaned, as this place was rather close to my house. I came back to pick it up and they showed me stains on my comforter that were not there when I dropped it off. I argued and argued with the woman, and she would not back down. She said that they were blood stains. Which I can absolutely guarantee they were not. And she said that the stains would never come out, no matter what the process. I refused to pay and she wouldn't give me my blanket. So I had to pay FULL PRICE to get it back. I took it to another cleaner in town and showed them the stains. How interesting and funny that they had a test to determine what the stains were so they could treat it properly and it CAME BACK THAT IT WAS RUST. I have a wooden framed bed, so how in the hell could i have rust stains on my blanket? Oh, FROM CIVIC CENTER CLEANERS. The second cleaners took my blanket, cleaned it, and got the stains out. COMPLETELY. If you want your dry cleaning items ruined with rust, then by all means bring them here. Otherwise save yourself the money and frustration and go somewhere else, something called AN HONEST BUSINESS. read more

We've been coming here for over 25 years, and when we learned last year that they would be changing ownership, we were heartbroken. Since we drive to this cleaner from N.E. Pasadena, we thought we would find a more local option for us. But they have continued to provide such top-notch service, that we happily remain loyal customers to Civic Cleaners. I also love the addition of the coffee. It's great! read more

I have been using this cleaners for many years. They have consistently provided quality services. I believe they changed ownership in recent months and the subsequent renovations look terrific. Pricing, integrity of their work, and professionalism remain as good as they have always been. Since suits and pressed dress shirts are a daily work requirement, I visit them twice weekly for drop-off and pick up. I cannot recall having any issue with their work; pretty rare based on my experience with other cleaners. Give them a try and I hope you will be as happy with your experience! read more

Loved the former owner, and I love the new one even more. They have renovated the place as well as installed a wonderful coffee machine. It took one visit for the staff to know me and recognize me. Clothing: My clothes look and feel awesome when I get them back. I definitely can tell that my clothes were handled with better care than some other dry cleaners that I have been to. I was so surprised that some of the stains in my clothes and carpets came off so easily (I was not expecting that). Price: Pricing here is very reasonable and affordable. Great quality for the amount that you pay. Convenience: Super convenient as I can go in and out as seamless as possible. Other: Overall, I continually have a great experience here. The lady is super friendly and has been running the business for over a decade. She definitely knows what she is doing! This place has saved me many headaches. Keep up the good work! read more
