EXPERIENCE: I dropped by on a Saturday around 11:30am. Not busy just us and someone else with their child. The person was on FaceTime having a whole conversation the entire time we sat there to eat our lunch. They were very loud and so was the person they were talking to. Then someone from the kitchen sat with them to eat so it had to be someone close to the staff. Extremely rude to have a loud conversation while your customers are trying to enjoy their food. The dining room is spacious and nice but they bring your meal out in take out containers. They also give you plastic utensils. I wouldn't mind this so much if the broccoli/veggies were cooked longer. The broccoli was so hard my mom couldn't pick up the broccoli with the spork provided. Not only were they hard but they weren't cut so we couldn't scoop them up either because they were so big. You're better off getting your food to go and eating at home with your own utensils. FOOD: The portion sizes are great. I ordered from the all day combo special and it was enough for two. Drinks are canned/bottled and water is available too. No zero sugar soda available which was a bummer but at least they have water. I had the Hunan chicken. The flavor of the food was fantastic but the broccoli and bell pepper needed to be cooked more. And I usually like my broccoli to have crunch but they were barely steamed lol Chicken broccoli had great flavor too. They do have a buffet option during the week but again you pick a container size and that's how you choose how much food you get. I think that may be the "From the bar" on the front of their menu. I will order again for take out/delivery but ask for my veggies to be cooked longer. I asked the cashier if they could do that and she said yes. I wouldn't dine in unless they have better utensils and plateware.

Nothing like the picture or description on the website. Good portion, so not good taste, threw most away.

We got the chicken and Broccoli , orange chicken with fried rice, chicken on a stick, spare ribs and an egg roll and everything was really good! The chicken on a stick was the best! Portion sizes are really big! Great for a family to share a dish. Everything nice and hot and fresh and perfectly cooked! Highly recommend trying!

Every community should have a restaurant like this. Broad traditional menu. Clean. Big portions. Good service and good value.

After I left a review, the manager, Amanda Stewart, reached out personally, inviting me to call and share the details. Amanda, though new to the company, has years of industry experience and truly understands the value of great service. She apologized repeatedly and invited us back. We returned this past Thursday, and it was a complete turnaround. Amanda made sure we felt valued, and Damien, our server, was phenomenal. The food was spot-on, and the entire experience left us with a much brighter outlook. We will absolutely be returning. Thank you, Amanda, and thank you, Damien, for making it right.

My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Tupelo Honey is a stand-alone restaurant conveniently located near Hwy 114 and 161. There's plenty of parking, outdoor seating, and a mixture of tables, booths, and bar seating. Speaking of the bar, it acts as a beautiful backdrop for the entire restaurant. 1 Star. Service - The service is always friendly. Our server is always smiling, and I can't help but feel welcome with southern charm. Tupelo Honey trains its staff well, and I really enjoy coming here and interacting with the staff. 1 Star. Food - I always begin with the Biscuits with a Cause. These light, flakey biscuits are served warm with a crispy exterior and soft, flakey inside. But honestly, the biscuits act as a delivery mechanism for the butter and blue berry jam. I always ask for an extra side of butter and jam because I use it all. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Honey Dusted Fried Chicken (dark). The chicken was perfectly fried, crispy, and sweet. And the dark meat was juicy. Pro Tips - use your hands. Another great dish was experienced. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. I have yet to have a below average dish at Tupelo Honey. Yes, it's a chain. But it's also a darn good chain that keeps its menu fresh and is worth multiple visits. 1 Star.

My husband and I started off by splitting the Wagyu Pigs in a Blanket which were good but I wouldn't order again. It just didn't seem to be anything over the top special so I would rather order something else as an app. My husband ordered the fried chicken and I got the Crispy Chicken Katsu. Both were delicious and I would definitely recommend trying both! The Katsu came with a spicy mayo that made the sandwich perfect! The fried chicken is massive so definitely share that or go home with left overs. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

The deviled eggs, dragon…read moreroll, and pigs in a blanket were all tasty, and that's honestly the highlight of our visit. Unfortunately, everything else was a struggle from the moment we walked in. We didn't have reservations, but eventually found seats at the bar. Given how busy the place was, we figured the bar would mean faster, more attentive service. We were very wrong. We ordered two beers, a non-alcoholic drink, and three appetizers. The drinks arrived, and the appetizers followed about 10 minutes later -- fine so far. But there were no utensils. We had to ask for them, and we asked for plates as well, which never came. The empty dishes from our appetizers sat in front of us for a solid hour with no one clearing them. The bartender who took our order never once checked on us. With 3-4 people working behind the bar, only one server approached us during the entire 40-minute wait between appetizers and dinner to ask if we needed anything. The bartender told us twice that our food was "coming out shortly" -- and still, 40 minutes passed. When dinner finally arrived, my order was wrong. I ordered the Mongolian Short Rib, listed clearly under the Entree section of the menu. The bartender claimed I had ordered off a "happy hour" menu -- one I never saw or was told about -- and had swapped it for BBQ Pork Ribs without saying a word. Knowing a replacement could take another hour, my friend swapped plates with me and took the ribs. He had ordered the steak frites, which, for a rare steak, should have taken no more than 5-6 minutes to prepare. The third entree, fish and chips, was just okay -- a bit soggy and not particularly fresh. To top it all off, after everything we dealt with, the bartender never asked how our meal was or if we needed anything else. The food has potential, but the service was inattentive, disorganized, and frankly unacceptable for a busy restaurant that should know better.

Often times after it's all said & done, you wonder - was that worth it? Thankfully, that is NOT the experience I had at Haywire! I ate here on August 9th, 2025 and enjoyed everything about it. I was with a large party but would love to return for a more intimate experience. On this Saturday, my younger cousin was graduating from Parker University so I was in town for the weekend. At around 1pm, I was one of the first to arrive at the restaurant. Unfortunately the parking is a bit confusing. There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. The dressing it was tossed with was well balanced but could've used a tad bit more. With some pepper & a little ranch, I was set! I defeated the salad but it also left me stuffed to the gills. Satisfying meal that I would order again! There are tons of restaurants to dine at in Dallas & sometimes you never know which is worth your time. Despite the inconvenience of parking, I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is a good place to eat. Whether you want a fine dining experience, it's a special occasion or just want a good drink with a meal, Haywire has enough to satisfy all interests.

WILL NEVER BE BACK!…read more HATED. EVERY. MOMENT. OF. THIS. PISS. POOR. EXPERIENCE. EVERY. SINGLE. MOMENT. VALET. NOT. FREE. I called before deciding where to eat on a Sunday afternoon to confirm parking situations. Parking is not easy downtown so this played a huge factor in figuring where, out of the dozens of brunch places, to eat. Definitely a bit of a walk to get accommodated at the actual restaurant so valet seemed the most reasonably enticing for parking solutions. Well, I called and spoke with the lady at the front desk. I confirmed with this little girl FOUR TIMES IF 1. They had valet available today 2. If it was complimentary. Come to find out it was not complimentary. And $7 for parking just doesn't sit well with me when there are ample free options else where with satisfying beverage, meal, ambiance, and service. All of which, I DID NOT GET AT HAYWIRE. I come in and although I had a reservation that I was 10 minutes early for while noticing tables available, I was told by that same girl who lied to me about parking I needed to take a seat. Reassuring me that it would only take two minutes to be seated. 10 minutes later I see coupled and groups walking in and guess what? They were immediately sat. While I am waiting to be sat at one of the three clean tables I'm staring at. I finally tell my boyfriend I am about to eat at the bar and he goes to the hostess stand to inform them our frustration and guess what? We were sat immediately. I get seated and there are two standing fans placed next to my table that's blowing my hair all over the f*****g place. I had to tell them to turn them off. What? No AC in this place either?? We immediately ordered and got the elk tacos for an appetizer. The tacos are WAY too spicy and way too salty. Too spicy AND too salty?? They're a no for me. You literally can't taste anything because of both! I HATED these little tacos. Probably the worst I've ever had. Ever seen someone attempt to pinch a bit of salt to season and the entire top comes off?? These tacos. My boyfriend had the chicken fried steak. He loved it (loves spicy and seasonings because he's Cajun) but I tried it and it was over seasoned. Again? Couldn't taste what I was eating. The mashed potatoes were divine. Enjoyed those! And then the green beans were tasteless. Hahaha what a joke. I ordered the barbacoa chilaquiles and it was literally too spicy to eat. Inedible. My eyes teared up, my nose started running, and I couldn't taste anything after a couple bites of the spice. I was so f*****g over this place I just ate my boyfriend's mashed potatoes and we left. If I had it my way, I wouldn't have paid for a thing here. They don't deserve our money and I HATE they got a cent from me. I'm livid. I hate this place W I L L N E V E R B E B A C K

We let our server know that upfront, and while we were seated in the dining room without issue, the experience quickly went downhill. From the moment we mentioned happy hour, the tone shifted. The server spoke down to us for the remainder of the visit. As an interracial couple, it was especially uncomfortable that when discussing happy hour and pricing, he directed everything toward me (the Black partner), but when it came time to pay, the check was brought to my partner. That inconsistency didn't go unnoticed and felt like profiling...plain and simple. Service timing was also rough. Our old fashioned took about 20 minutes to arrive, and the food took 45 minutes to an hour...despite the restaurant being nearly empty. Throughout the meal, staff repeatedly tried to clear our plates when we were nowhere near finished, which made the whole experience feel rushed and unwelcome. Food-wise...credit where it's due. The Bolognese was fantastic. The fried chicken sandwich was just okay...no real seasoning or noticeable brine, though the hot honey it was tossed in was great. The old fashioned tasted watered down, even though I know it likely wasn't...just poorly balanced. We both work in the service industry, so we're understanding of small hiccups. But this wasn't that. This was poor service layered with uncomfortable behavior. If happy hour is offered, it shouldn't come with judgment...train your staff accordingly. Unfortunately, this isn't a place we'd return to. Being made to feel profiled and unwelcome on what was supposed to be a celebratory night isn't something we're interested in experiencing again.
