Although the portion size is decent, the food quality is very low. The scallops are imitation but advertised as real, which is dishonest. The BBQ rib tips have a very unpleasant pungent flavor and little bone shards and tendons in every bite. I was only able to eat one and a half before throwing them out. Very good wonton soup. The dumplings and crispy noodles seem homemade. They're not like any I've ever had. They're much thicker than I've ever seen and a rich golden color. The flavor of the broth is absorbed throughout and the meat inside has a really nice flavor and texture. It's mildly seasoned enough to actually taste like meat instead of seasoning and hasn't been ground to death so it has a nice chew to it. read more

This was thought to be a nice little Chinese take out similar to what I am use to in New York, New Jersey and other east coast eateries. But this was not to be. The fried rice was the only thing edible. The egg rolls were absolutely burnt along with dried out and burnt chicken wings, which by the way are served as wingettes. Chicken wings are suppose to served whole as one wing when you order 4, not 4 wingettes. Anyway, the ratings I read about this place was the reason I went there. Every foodie joint has a bad day from time to time so I hope this was one of those times. So far my Chinese cuisine experience in Texas has been limited to Wok Express who's fried rice is made the olde school way, with scrabble eggs in it. read more

Definitely don't come here for the ambience, decor, or service because there isn't any. But if you want some pretty good Chinese food cheap this bare bones hole in the wall works for me! As usual I chose old standards for my first visit. The spring roll was a little over done but a nice balance of ingredients. The Crispy Sesame Beef was served right from the open kitchen hot and crispy. Best presentation I've ever seen on a paper plate! Can't beat it for the price. I shall return. read more

Don't be fooled by the exterior. This is definitely the best hole in the wall place in West Dallas! Cheap too! Inside they only have one table and a couple of stools against a wall side table so I recommend getting your food to go. I have nearly had everything on the menu and yet to find something I didn't like. They do deliver but not very far. The thing I like best about this place is that you can see them cook your food. Lin's is a solid plate of greasy Chinese food. To be honest, I have no idea what authentic Chinese food is supposed to taste like. But I do have a soft spot for fried rice and noodles with random veggies and meat all drowning in soy sauce with a few crispy egg rolls in between. Ordered take out on a lazy Sunday. It was off of 30 in Dallas. Definitely a hole in a wall chinese spot. As a real new yorker (brooklyn to be exact) this spot reminds me of home. The kitchen is open so you can watch your food being prepared. They had egg Foo young on the menu which is hard to find at Dallas chinese restaurants. Also they had fried wontons!! so I will give credit for the variety. It's a hood chinese restaurant with greasy tasty chinese food. This place is great you can call in orders or eat in. The customer service can be misinterpreted as rude but they are not. They are just quick and direct. All there food is yummy and economical. You can call in orders and on average they are ready cooked fresh in ten minutes. Only thing I don't like is their eating area is small. Ordered delivery for Crab Rangoon and Sweet and Sour Shrimp. Hands down the worst Chinese food I've ever tried to eat. The Rangoon wasn't that good but it was edible. The Shrimp was soggy and tasted like stale or rancid grease. Mostly went in the trash. I called the the restaurant and informed them of the situation. The person answering the phone said she would tell the cook. That's it?!?! NEVER AGAIN!! I called the owner and requested a refund for the shrimp portion. She did agree issue a refund a bit begrudgingly. read more
