If you're looking for a Chinese fast food restaurant that offers large portions and good quality food, then you've got to check out Homei. One main thing that stands out about this restaurant is the portion size. Whether you're ordering a meal combo or a la carte dishes, the portions are quite generous and can easily feed two people or provide you with plenty of leftovers for later. Additionally, the prices are quite reasonable, especially considering the portion size and quality of the food. I paid $8 for fried rice, lo mein, and two chicken entrees. Speaking of the food, the flavors are solidly delicious. The orange chicken and jalapeno chicken were well sauced, with the right amount of crispiness and spice. The restaurant itself is clean and well-maintained, and the staff are friendly and helpful. They also offer online ordering and delivery services, which is convenient if you don't have time to go out or prefer to eat at home. Overall, delicious Chinese food and generous portions at a reasonable price - aka what I would call a much better version of Panda Express.

Think of this as a better Panda Express. Food is overall higher quality and portions are godly, especially for the price. Every time I go, I can probably squeeze 3-4 meals out of a 2 entree plate. The staff are incredible and exceptionally nice, so every time I walk in, it feels like home. I typically get the jalapeno chicken and the orange chicken. Both are so delicious, and remind me of faux Asian cuisine to a tee. There's a sense of sweetness in these dishes that is not present in typical Chinese cuisine, but that's not a bad thing. There are certain times I crave Chinese food and certain times I crave Chinese American food, and every time the latter happens, Ho Mei is the way to go. Food is always so flavorful and the meats are always perfectly cooked. Overall, I cannot complain. This place excels at what it does, and it delivers everything it promises. 5/5 stars.

This place use to give better portions, but lately they seem to be exercising shrinkflation. Disappointing, because this use to be a much better deal.

Ordered take out of crab Rangoon, orange chicken and sesame chicken. The only thing that was good in my opinion was the orange chicken, it was very mid but it at least had a good flavor. The fried rice was bland and had no veggies. The sesame chicken tasted like straight up garlic. The crab cheese was cold and dry and something straight out of a bag. Overall not my best Chinese experience in Dallas!

In the area for work. Workers were sweet as they could be, but the food was terrible: chicken was cold and old. Rice was warm but no flavor. NGL I was super disappointed.

Location: A... Close to my job Parking: A... Plenty of parking Staff: A... Friendly, Helpful and Polite Food quality: A- Everything was delish the only down side is it was lukewarm at best due to it being under the warmer lights. Price: A...Decent Ordered dinner for my lady and myself because cooking wasn't part of our equation on that Friday. Lol...I ordered one three entree dinner, one 4pc crab rangoon, 2 spring rolls, and one egg drop soup. Definitely a good spot for a quick bite. Ronnie's pick

Had a craving for Chinese food and it's right near work so super convenient. It's a glorified Panda Express (better quality and more choices). It's legit Chinese food and it hit the spot! The staff was very friendly and helpful. I only wish they had drinks (alcohol) there. The food was exceptional. The crab Rangoon was delicious!! The ambiance is very much an Asian vibe. You know as soon as you walk in that you are in the right spot!

I decided to stop here in a Sunday afternoon after passing this place many times while getting Jimmy John's from across the lot. You can order from the menu or order from the premade food. I opt'd for the premade food. Side note, there was a sign outside that said you get a free spring roll with a 1 Side and 2 entree box, only on Saturday and Sunday. I was offered a spring roll or chicken on a stick. I got Crab Rangoons, Lo Mein, Teriyaki Chicken, General Tso's Chicken, and Chicken on a Stick. All of that cost about $14. Keep in mind the Rangoons were $5 alone. Pros: Crab Rangoons were twice the size of other restaurants and served with a sweet and sour sauce. Chicken on a stick was great. Good flavor and not dry. Portion sizes were very large. Cons: Food was warm at best. Lo Mein was bland. Teriyaki Chicken and General Tso's Chicken were basic. They weren't bad but I wasn't super impressed. I would for sure come here rather than to the chain restaurants. Plus I could eat for a good 2-3 days for less than $10.

I believe this to be a somewhat new establishment. It's very clean on the inside. The staff was welcoming and friendly. You're able to order from a buffet/cafeteria like line. The prices are very affordable and portions are plentiful. My only con: I ordered Sweet & Sour Chicken and did not receive the normal red sweet & sour sauce. I was however given packaged soy sauce and orange sauce. I was a bit disappointed not having the red sweet & sour sauce. I'm not sure if they have it as I didn't see any. I will go back. I do recommend. I paid $21 for two meals with plenty of food.

Our waiter was very welcoming and friendly and gave us some great recommendations since it was our first time dining there. We tried the following dishes: Soup Dumplings (Xiao Long Bao), Gong Bao Pork, and Stir-Fried La Mian with Vegetables. My favorite dishes were the beef dish and the soup dumplings. I would definitely order those again. It was also really nice to see the chef hand-pull the noodles right behind our table, which added to the whole experience. Overall, both the food and service were excellent. The portions were generous and perfect for sharing. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back again.

This visit, we hosted family from East Texas who'd been here once before. Starting with delicious Xiao Long Bao soup dumplings and Bucks Spare Ribs, we moved on to Ants Climbing Trees (Ma Yi Shang Shu), a classic Sichuan dish of vermicelli cooked with minced pork, in fermented chili sauce, with garlic and green onions, Salt and Pepper Shrimp, crispy bite-size shrimp tossed with green onion, basil, garlic, and jalapeño, and Sichuan Green Beans, stir-fried with garlic, mushrooms, and minced pork. We opted for one order of white rice and one of fried rice with our entrées. The restaurant is almost always packed if you don't have a reservation, but the vibe is relaxed and casual without being loud. In fact, it's so popular, you may have to wait a bit even with a reservation, since they want you to enjoy your meal vs rushing you out to "turn the table."

I would have let this slide if it happened once. I ordered through Uber Eats, and this is now the second time the fried rice I clearly paid for with both entrees was missing from my order. After the first time, I called to let them know, and the response was dismissive. When it happened again, I called again and got the same lack of concern. At that point, it's not a mistake, it's a pattern. At these prices, basic order accuracy and customer service should be a given. As for the food, it's average at best. It doesn't even reach Panda Express level in terms of consistency or flavor, which makes the pricing even harder to justify. I don't see the value here, and based on repeated issues and the lack of accountability, I wouldn't recommend.
