Have never needed to ask the attendant for assistance. Clear instructions at each pump. Decent gas prices all the time, IMHO. Made even better by using Fry's Fuel points. Water and squeegees are available for cleaning your vehicle's windows. Directional arrows are on the ground showing customers which way they are supposed to pull in and out of each row of pumps - not that the customers always follow these directions. If you are in the area this is a great place to stop in and fill up. There's also a fully stocked Fry's Marketplace with groceries, apparel, a Starbucks, etc. within walking distance. So you can build up your fuel points, of course.

In fact, I drove here from Tempe because it was like a 25 to 30 cent per gallon difference!! Well worth the 4 mile drive! While I do not frequent this Safeway location, I shop at other Safeway locations regularly, and…read moresometimes will stop by this location to pick up a random item on a rare occasion. I stopped by there today on the way back from the airport to pick up some flowers for my wife and also to grab a Starbucks in the Safeway, and while I found some flowers, I left with different flowers than expected and no Starbucks, and I was disappointed with the service I experienced. First, I stopped by the store's Starbucks where there was no one in line, and I waited at the front of the line where the employee saw me and continued doing something that wasn't clear (making a drink or cleaning something). She didn't acknowledge me and when she finished, she didn't offer to assist me. I ended up walking away when it appeared she wasn't in the mood to assist someone. I then walked over to the floral section where the floral associate said that the flowers I was looking for weren't in stock and were not being replenished. She pointed out a similar priced bouquet of flowers though I told her I wasn't concerned about the price but was looking for a similar color and type of flower. She hadn't shared any suggestions for what I could get, so I just selected flowers I thought my wife would like and departed. On the way out, I saw the Starbucks associate cleaning something in front of the front counter with no customers waiting for assistance. I did not stop back at the counter. I have enjoyed Safeway and Albertsons stores in general and their promotions from their annual Monopoly game way back when to the Flavor Adventure through the app a few years ago, too. While I haven't taken advantage of the curbside pick-up at other locations, I know it is offered here even if I hadn't used it. I do have a membership for FreshPass (which I got this past year at the 50% off promotion). There are great sales from the weekly doorbuster sales to daily promotions to Friday or weekend promotions to general sales prices. For approximately $99 per year (or the occasional $49 promotional price), you can sign up for FreshPass, which includes unlimited free delivery on orders over $30, $5 monthly credit for annual subscribers, earn 2X points on our exclusive brands, save 5% on O Organics, Open Nature, or Signature Pet Care, points don't expire, a VIP phone line, and monthly exclusive Starbucks perks. I really appreciate the $5 monthly credit and the Starbucks perks (to buy a grande-sized drink for only $2 every month). Between those two alone, you more than make back when you spend on the program. Even if you don't join the program, you can earn points for every purchase to redeem for free items, store discounts, or gas discounts plus extra points during your birthday month. While there are certainly things that this store can better do in the future to meet customers' needs in terms of customer service, the store looked in good condition and items seemed to be in stock.

Wow. Where do I begin?…read more My mom and I ordered from Fry's Marketplace at 10am on October 19th, 2025. The assistant store manager, Maria, messaged us that our order was going to be ready between 4pm-5pm. When it was around 4:22pm, I started to head to the store to pickup the order, after my mom received a message about the order # 1252926649812520701, being ready at 4pm. Then I received a call from Maria, and she said the order would not be ready until 6pm. I turned around after wasting my gas and headed back home after working 11-12 hours that day. Then we called to speak to the Store Manager, Rick, and they put us on hold for 10-15 mins. After the hold, we spoke to Maria, again. Maria kept giving excuses as to why our order # 1252926649812520701, was not ready. We then waited for 90 more mins, and still did not receive an email or text message from Fry's Marketplace about our order. Maria told us that the order would be discounted, but Maria never told us the price. After waiting, my mom had to contact Fry's Marketplace on Gilbert & Baseline, AGAIN, just to see what the status was of the order # 1252926649812520701. My mom is handicapped so she was very worried about this business being very unprofessional and disrespectful towards us and our order. I want to bring it to more people's attention that this is not how to treat handicapped people and that's not how you do business. We showed up this morning, 10/20 after being told our order would be ready and the order was put back on the shelves, after we had already paid for it through the online app. We will never ever be back at this place of business again. And it's a shame because they have great workers there but the assistant store manager, Maria and the store manager, Rick need to stop making excuses and show professionalism.
