Love the food - easily the best Italian on the island. Service just meh - our group of four each ordered appetizers. They delivered three and we waited a few minutes but the fourth didn't come until we had to flag down the server to ask. Awkward because the dishes on the table got cold while we waited. Entrees also didn't come at the same time although the wait wasn't as long. They never came to check on drinks - also had to flag them down for extra wine/beer which, of course, took forever to come and required asking again. And it was not easy to find a server. It also took forever for them to clear the table and ask about desserts. Restaurant was also incredibly noisy and hard to hear each other even at our small table. We've been here 4-5 times because the food is so good but wouldn't recommend for more formal or special occasions. Service definitely spotty. read more

First time here... what can I say? The people AKA staff are very nice for a start, very accommodating(sorry I forgot the names already). Second the ambiance? A good place to hang with your friends just chilling and have a great night not too crowded not too noisy. Food wise?CRAB SPAGHETTI is a hit! The crab meat plus the Uni combo, melts in your mouth! Creamy sauce( didn't exactly hear what the sauce components are) delicious!!! First seafood pasta that made me crave for a second one! I def recommend this. Been wanting to try out Cino for a while and recently noticed they changed their hours. Went over with a friend on Saturday and our server said they just started a Brunch menu on the weekends. They are still working on things, so the menu has oddities like the Buttermilk Waffle listed in Appetizers and the Steak & Eggs and Loco Moco under Pasta. And our server forgot to ask how I wanted my eggs done when we were ordering. I forgot to mention it myself, so it was nice that she came back quickly to ask. The furnishings are still new looking and the chairs were very comfy. My friend noticed that some of the tables and the bar seating had flowers. She said it was a nice touch. Speaking of, I ordered the Steak & Eggs and my friend ordered the Buttermilk Waffle. The Steak & Eggs was good, but for the price of $38, I'm not sure that skirt steak is the best choice. It's a tougher cut and usually used in stuff like fajitas where it's cut up into small pieces. I ordered it done medium, but it was a bit chewier that I'd prefer. Having it medium rare may have made it better. The potatoes were nicely done and you get a good amount. 3.5/5. The Buttermilk Waffle was a stand out. With a generous amount of whipped cream and berry compote it reminded us of a strawberry shortcake. The waffle was nice and crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy inside. Definite 5/5. Overall, we had a good experience and considering that neither of us ordered a pasta dish we will come back again to try some another time. read more

We went last night and had a wonderful time! To start the place is very cute and in a cool, up and coming neighborhood. Every bite of the food was delicious. We ordered the crispy rice with Hamachi (amazing), the beet salad (every bite perfect), the Branzino (sooooo good), the veal parmigiana (so delicious, and so big!) and the twice baked potato (drool- again it's big, we couldn't finish it). What really made the place amazing was our waiter JR. He was so welcoming and kind and really embodied service and so knowledgeable on the whole menu with amazing recommendations! Dinner conversation resulted in having to talk in elevated voices with the person leaning in your personal space to hear what you are saying. Also, one toilet stall for each gender in an eating establishment? Not so great when one is out of order and we have to resort to our clubbing day antics to use the one operating toilet...of the opposite sex. Now about the food. One word...OVERHYPED. Their apps are pretty good -- crab cakes, beet salad and grilled octopus. You can get better oysters elsewhere. The sides were fairly salty. Salt was used not to enhance flavor but to blow put the palate. As for the entrees, underwhelming. I had the wagyu sampling. Tasty but we had some pieces that were tough and gristley, ending up like chewed up bark on the side of a plate. The osso bucco, though tasty, was not fork tender. I could go on and on but I won't. The food and service was GREAT!!! We had a table for two banquette seating and had a perfect view for people watching! Interesting to note mostly every table had ordered the TWICE BAKED POTATO!! Since this restaurant is also known as a steakhouse I ordered the 25 oz rib eye steak which was perfectly done. Please keep in mind that the entree are allacart so it is just the steak and you select your own sides. They had a wagyu entree which was priced at $145 but I love my ribeye and for 25 oz for $88 I felt that was a fair price. Like I mentioned earlier we noticed most every table had order the TWICE BAKED POTATO and we were at first leaning toward the garlic potato's but soooo glad we changed our mind and decided on the twice baked potato it was delicious!! Rounding it off we were thinking about the grilled asparagus but chose the grilled broccoli rabe and was so glad we did. Ended up finishing the squid ink pasta dish and taking home the steak for lunch. Only 2/3 of the potato made it home it was that good we couldn't stop tasting it. Finished off dinner with the Coconut Pane cotta with fresh fruits which was the perfect ending to a delicious dinner. The food was amazing! I would say the duck is my favorite, it has so much flavor even inside the duck. It melted in your mouth. The best duck that I have had. The bolognese was really good too. The dessert is on the menu, but they have tiramisu, something with coconut and fruit that in the picture, and gelato. Overall we enjoyed the food. The service was a little slow but they go over the food and which farm it came from. The food made up for it. The ambiance is nice however it does get super loud, i like the vibe. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful! It looks like bar podmore. They have outdoor seating above the park (I walked by and it was awkwardly quiet so I suggest they add some light music out there). The food was so so amazing but I want to note some weaknesses with the beverages and timeliness. The food was honestly so good that I can't even dock a star for those two negatives although they were frustrating. For drinks, I got the Laguna Rosa and it was awful. It was so bad I gave it to my boyfriend and he even couldn't drink it and said it was very bitter. He got the orange yuzu drink and that was good not great (maybe 6/10). We weren't impressed with the drinks. The food WOW! We started with the beef tartare (9/10) and the octopus (9/10). For entrees, my boyfriend got the crab spaghetti (9/10) and I got the miso charred butterfish (10/10). We ended with the tiramisu which was good but I've had better. The glass they serve the tiramisu in is odd because it's hard to get to the sponge layer and you're just eating the mousse and espresso dust at first. The meal took so long. The apps came out fast! Then after that we waited 70 minutes for the entrees. We were getting a little bothered. They are in their first month so we'll give it a pass. If this still occurs when we go next in a month or so we might not go back. The perfect place for a girls' night out! The food and drinks were on point. The service was befitting 5-star service. For starters, I especially enjoyed the oysters and kampachi. Not only is the food fresh, but the flavors of this place is impeccable. The sauces are tasty, but not overpowering-particularly the Prosecco Mignonette (paired with the oysters). Next we had the crab spaghetti, rib eye, and twice baked oysters. I mopped up every bit of the crab spaghetti. And the twice baked potatoes...you can't skip over this one; it's a must have. The rib eye was good, but that house special wagyu...OMG...it's literally like butter; it melts in your mouth. To top it all off, we had the panna cotta. Amazing. It's a nice "neighborhood" spot. Gives off Vino kinda vibes but more hipster / modern. Not a dig against either Vino or Cino but rather a compliment. Cino feels like it's the successor to Vino. Food was prompt and tasty. Charred Octo was decision and came out in like no time. If anything, may have been nice to have come out warmer / hotter but delicious nonetheless. Kampachi Crudo was nice and fresh but the sauce took away from the fish. Yuzu Vinaigrette was a bit heavy, but dish was still enjoyable. Branzino and the Squid Ink Pasta was spot on. Squid Ink Pasta is tasty although a bit pricey for what you get. Maybe more than one shrimp would be nice for this price point. Branzino was nice and refreshing. It's a bonier fish, so be prepared to do some work but oh so worth it. Dessert was a Berry Panna Cotta and Tiramisu. Panna Cotta was nice and silky and had a nice assortment of fresh fruits. We had dinner in a party of 7 and were promptly seated at a comfortable table/booth to the side, where it was calmer. To me, the most important element of dining is service and the service was excellent and welcoming from hostess to head waiter to all other wait staff. The menu was explained well and patiently, as he had to explain a particular dish twice at different times. The food was served at a good pace. Chopsticks were offered, silverware was replaced and the table cleaned at several intervals between courses. We ordered so many dishes and while all were very good, we particularly enjoyed the fresh fig and mint appetizer, charred Spanish octopus (so tender!), panna cotta with berries, kampachi, and beef tartare. The romaine salad, fritto misto, crab spaghetti, rigatoni bolognese, and twice-baked potatoes were also very good. The cino pinwheel was sooo rich that we needed only a few bites each, so that one was shared and the leftovers taken home. The special pasta with foam was also quite tasty, but there was so much "meat" that I ran out of pasta! The filet mignon was great--very nicely seasoned. I have been wanting to come here for awhile but we just never made it. Finally my husband made reservations for my birthday dinner. First impression - what a wide range of customers from a party of really elderly seniors and what looked like some women out on the prowl and everyone in between (although my son commented that he was the only kid, which he was). It looked like a popular date spot as I noticed a lot of tables for two. We had reservations so we were seated immediately. All of the drink options did not sound exciting to me but if nothing suits your fancy, they do have beer. My husband and I both ordered a Peroni. I think the hardest part was figuring out which entree to get and which appetizers NOT to get. We got the Fritto Misto (delicious - very light and crisp!), charred Spanish octopus (good but not great), bread (not on the menu but it had different types of bread - would get again), and kampachi (so good and a decent size too!). For entrees we got - beet salad (I got this as my entree, which was good because we ordered so many appetizers), my son got the butterfish (he wasn't a huge fan), and my husband got the ribeye (he liked it but I thought it had a weird taste) along with the crispy garlic potatoes (would not get again... they were neither crispy or garlicky) and the roasted cauliflower (really good, would get again). Since it was my birthday dinner, they gave me a free panna cotta (SOOOOOO GOOOD!!!!!!). I would get it again even if I had to pay for it. For the service, our waitress was on it for the water refills. She had to refill it a lot because we were all drinking a lot of water. The appetizers came out very quickly but there was at least a 45 minute wait for our entrees to come out. Our waitress was very generous and comped our butterfish and ribeye so it was worth the wait. She did say it was because the head chef was out (his wife was having a baby - congrats!). Overall, I'd definitely come back but only to get the appetizers. I didn't see any entree that struck my fancy which was also why I got that beet salad (I love beets but it was not that good). Service was on point so that was nice to see. read more
