We were greeted with enthusiasm and genuine friendliness from both employees here and found that both were Vegans as well. My daughter talked Vegan with them for a bit. I had the Yelp complimentary Old Skool Roll and 8 oz coffee (with Oat Milk). My wife had the Old Skool Roll with coffee frosting topped with walnuts. My daughter had the Old Skool Roll with PB Cup topping and cookie dough and a 16 oz Strawberry Banana Smoothie. I could not believe I was tasting Vegan products as each were so delish! Being that the order ahead option was only for preorders for the next morning, my amazing husband walked across the street to get Kinley and I the classic. Girlfriend picked up some cinnamon rolls and brought them home, they looked hefty and mega decadent. She got jelly donut, caramel apple and a plain one. Our favorite was the jelly donut flavor wise...because we love jelly. The caramel apple was okay, really skimpy on the fresh apple though. The reasoning for the low stars is because the frosting was overpowering (and SO much) and there was a weird aftertaste to it. I heard they had Dole Whip! Popped in today at ~8:15p, (they close at 11p) we were the only people there. We got the customary Capitol-Hill-non-acknowledgment for the first ~5 minutes, but were eventually asked what we'd like. Sadly, they pulled a McFlurry on us! The Dole Whip machine had been shut down early & my heartbroken kids left w/a mediocre "Cookie Monster" sugar-bomb cinnamon roll. Honestly, I don't know how business owners tolerate the actively discouraging customer service routine from their employees. Why stay open till 11p if your staff essentially checks-out at ~8p? Very disappointing! Dole Whip is hard to come by though, so I imagine the kids will ask for it again at some point in the near future. I saw this on social media and the cinnamon rolls here looked so great that I had to come try it the next day. food: they have a predefine flavor of cinnamon rolls that you can get here -- the menu ranges from savory to sweet! They also allow you to customize your cinnamon rolls as well if none of the predefined ones interest you. I will say it seems cheaper to buy the predefined rolls on the menu then customizing your own as they charge more for the toppings that are desired. this is on a pricer end -- about 6-8 dollars per cinnamon roll depending on which one you are looking to get. I got the apple pie cinnamon roll and I will say I was a little disappointed. on paper it sound delicious on getting it did not look as great as the other ones that were being in displayed. I came here late on a weeknight after hanging out in the Capitol Hill area. I was looking for a dessert location and this place being open until 11pm fit the bill. It is also very cool to be able to customize your cinnamon roll so I came in intrigued. I had the caramel apple pie flavor and the s'mores flavor rolls. Both were tasty but I wouldn't say they blew me away. It was decent for a late night sweet treat for sure but I'm not sure I would make any special stop here again unless I was seriously craving a cinnamon roll. I really wanted to try this place once I saw it. It's kind of tucked away off Broadway. One perk is they stay open until 11pm or so, so it's a nice treat any time of day. OH, my gosh. I think I died and went to heaven with this roll. I got an old school roll ($6) topped with Oreos and Cookie Dough (75 cents per topping) - they give it to you warm in a box. The rolls are a great size for sharing (or not, lol). Cream cheese frosting is my favorite and this one is buttery (you cannot tell it's vegan) and fluffy and sweet and melts into the cinnamon roll dough. The cookie dough is also amazing and studded with chocolate chips. The cinnamon roll pastry itself is dry (not necessarily a bad thing) and not sweet but it complements the ultra-rich toppings nicely. The staff is also super sweet. Got there about an house close to closing and split a vegan oatmeal cookie between my wife and I. I thought it was a good deal because of the size in the display case. We got one about half the size. I also don't think it was vegan because after eating half of the cookie I got sick. Also, the cookie was very dry and thick. Like the batter was over mixed making it halfway to a cake and cookie. Very flavorless. For a restaurant with this name charging these prices you would think you would get a decent cookie. I had never heard of this place, and I thought the concept was right up my alley. Cinnamon rolls that you can tailor to your liking? Count me in! I ended up going for their Very Berry cinnamon roll with a scoop of cookie dough and let me tell you there is alot going on when combining the two! I'm not too sure if the texture of the cinnamon roll and cookie dough meshed well for me, but individually the products were great! The cinnamon roll was well baked and had that gooey middle center that is needed for a cinnamon roll. The frosting was also very well done and flavorful and the berries helped to balance out the sweetness by providing just a bit of tartness. The cookie dough scoop, well, it tasted like cookie dough! Not something that blew me away, but it still satisfied my sweet tooth. The overall setting of the place was very low key and relaxing and the staff was nice and pleasant as well.
