As you enter, you will see a big board where you get to choose your frosting and toppings. There are a lot of choices including some usual ones. The rolls are made to order so the wait is a few minutes. I ordered the cake frosting with cookie dough. I ate it at the store which was a good idea because it was so good warm. It was absolutely delicious. The frosting was wonderful and rich and the bun itself was really tasty with a strong taste of cinnamon. I'm a huge fan of cinnamon buns, so when I saw this place existed, I had top stop by. I came by on a Monday night about 30 mins before closing, and it was super empty. I got a custom bun with chocolate frosting and strawberries on top to go. The buns themselves seem to be kept warm in a machine they have, which I'm assuming helps with the assembly time for custom orders. The sole employee was able to get my order ready in less than 5 minutes. Maybe my expectations were a bit too high, but I was pretty disappointed with my dessert. The bun itself wasn't moist or delicate at all - I've actually had better buns from Cinnabon. It wasn't overly sugar-y though, which I quite enjoyed. I'm sure this is to account for the sweetness from the frostings and toppings. I was hoping the chocolate frosting would provide some bitter notes to cut through the sweetness of everything, but the chocolate was arguably the sweetest component. It was actually TOO sweet. The strawberries were nice though - they give a solid amount of cut up strawberries so you can have a piece with each bite. The pricing is a bit high. The buns themselves cost $6, and with my frosting and topping, I paid a little over $7. The buns are pretty hefty though, so perhaps that justifies the price point. The interior is quite small. Right now, they have some small table and bar tables with a couple chairs, but I can't imagine people dining in right now with COVID. Being in the heart of Cap Hill, your best bet for parking is street parking. It's right across from the QFC, and I've heard of people parking in that parking lot. However, with COVID, there's ample street parking available. If you go late night like I did, you shouldn't have any problem finding parking. I like the idea of Cinnaholic. I REALLY like the idea of it. But the execution just didn't do it for me. It seems to be more of a novelty dessert than anything. But maybe I just caught them on a bad day. My first ever Vegan cinnamon bun. I lined up for their grand opening along with many other people before it even opened. They had hired a DJ to keep our spirits lifted as we waited to storm Cinnaholic's new home. Now, I get that (mostly?) everything in the shop is vegan. Sourcing items to make vegan items can be challenging and expensive. So I get why they're so pricey. The base cinnamon bus is priced at $5.50. A plain roll is $4.70. But wow, you an customize your cinnamon bus how ever way you like. With over 16 different frostings and over 20 different toppings the sky's the limits. They do have suggested cinnamon buns with variations of frostings and toppings at your disposal if you can't decide. My problem with most cinnamon buns is that they get way too sweet, and piling more sweets on top doesn't help. But I'm glad something like this has opened up on Cap Hill. My personal recommendation is to heat up the bun just a bit before eating it. It makes it 100% better. Keep up the good work Cinnaholic! My daughter brought me to Cinnaholic on a recent visit and I'm so glad she did. First, the place smells as good as you would expect, but the selection, the flavor, the friendly service?! I called the store first and had a pleasant conversation with the shift lead and when she didn't call me back I called the store to check in and was repeatedly hung up. ONLY then did I go in person to the store and spoke with the worker on duty. Got really excited to find out this place is vegan. My sister got two rolls, she enjoyed her indulgent treat. My only suggestion; please include clear allegation signs. I asked specifically if any of the products had soy, everything there has soy in it. I asked if the brownie had soy, the lady told me it did not. I opted for the brownie option because I have food allergies. The brownie was halfway devoured already when I was approached by the same lady who advised me that the brownie did indeed contain soy bean oil. I was mortified, because that could be extremely scary for someone with food allergies. I get annoying hives/rashes the next day from consuming any trace amounts of soy. I'm glad and grateful that she was brave enough to tell me about that while I was eating the brownie because I would not have known where my hives that appeared the next day came from. Like I said, please include allergy signs? It'll help the customers out a lot. Fortunately for myself and that lady who sold me on the brownie, I did not have a extreme allergic reaction but if that happened to someone with extreme allergic reactions- I don't want to sound dramatic- but worst case scenario a customer could have ended up in a hospital. But Mercury is in retrograde so I totally forgive the miscommunication. Also consider possibly making the products without soy or major allergen ingredients? I'm gonna list of what I like about this place first: - good service - good concept - vegan (for me this means zero worries) - they list their ingredients and nutritional value on their website - the vibe of the place is pretty good, where it's located is relatively pretty (although a bit packed) Now... what I don't like about this place: -it's too sweet. Now, cinnamon rolls themselves are sweet, but this is like... I've got a damn month's worth of sugar in one cinnamon roll. The berry one was astronomically sweet, all you could taste was sugar. I was expecting fresh cut fruit to cut through the sweetness of the cinnamon roll and icing, but it was fruit in a sugar syrup. It was awful and my mom and I both disliked that one. The peanut butter one had more of a balance to it, as the peanut butter icing (even though it was annoyingly sweet) had a saltiness to balance it out. Plus the salt from the pretzels helped out a lot. I wish the chocolate on it had very little sugar in it, as the bitterness of the dark chocolate would have cut through perfectly in contrast to the sweetness of the cinnamon roll. If I came back it would be to get this one. I lack the desire to try any others, as it's simply way too sweet from the two I've tried. If you're a sugarholic and have a big sweet tooth, this place is wonderful. The beautiful thing about Cinnaholic is you can customize your Classic cinnamon roll how ever you want. They have many toppings to choose from and you could pretty much try something new everything. A good comparison is like the Cold stone ice cream of cinnamon rolls. Not feeling so creative? Well They offer a wide selection of Pre designed customer rolls ( see my picture) if you want to try something new without making al the hard decisions. Every-time I've visited Cinnaholic the customer service team is nice and very timely with my orders. This is something I really thank them for, many locations in Seattle have felt so slow recently.
