I just wanna do a quick shout out to the owner, I definitely don't come on here and do reviews, this will be actually my first review for a restaurant/business, I just wanna say the desserts are good as always because I've been spending my money on this business for about 2 1/2 years since I've moved to Seattle, there was a a little miscommunication with my last order and I didn't want any accidental miscommunication again with an employee or a unwanted argument, or embarrassment on any of the employees behalf, so I decided to contact the owner directly when I called, and not only was he very understanding, but very respectful, and fix my order and concerns very quickly, not only did he give me my order again without a refund, which I wanted, but also gave me another bakery item on the house that was very amazing! This is a new chain restaurant on Pike Street. It is similar to Cinnabon that it focuses on cinnamon rolls, but much better (and I understand vegan). The staff was very friendly. As you enter, you will see a big board where you get to choose your frosting and toppings. There are a lot of choices including some usual ones. The rolls are made to order so the wait is a few minutes. I ordered the cake frosting with cookie dough. I ate it at the store which was a good idea because it was so good warm. It was absolutely delicious. The frosting was wonderful and rich and the bun itself was really tasty with a strong taste of cinnamon. I'm a huge fan of cinnamon buns, so when I saw this place existed, I had top stop by. I came by on a Monday night about 30 mins before closing, and it was super empty. I got a custom bun with chocolate frosting and strawberries on top to go. The buns themselves seem to be kept warm in a machine they have, which I'm assuming helps with the assembly time for custom orders. The sole employee was able to get my order ready in less than 5 minutes. Maybe my expectations were a bit too high, but I was pretty disappointed with my dessert. The bun itself wasn't moist or delicate at all - I've actually had better buns from Cinnabon. It wasn't overly sugar-y though, which I quite enjoyed. I'm sure this is to account for the sweetness from the frostings and toppings. I was hoping the chocolate frosting would provide some bitter notes to cut through the sweetness of everything, but the chocolate was arguably the sweetest component. It was actually TOO sweet. The strawberries were nice though - they give a solid amount of cut up strawberries so you can have a piece with each bite. The pricing is a bit high. The buns themselves cost $6, and with my frosting and topping, I paid a little over $7. The buns are pretty hefty though, so perhaps that justifies the price point. The interior is quite small. Right now, they have some small table and bar tables with a couple chairs, but I can't imagine people dining in right now with COVID. Being in the heart of Cap Hill, your best bet for parking is street parking. It's right across from the QFC, and I've heard of people parking in that parking lot. However, with COVID, there's ample street parking available. If you go late night like I did, you shouldn't have any problem finding parking. I like the idea of Cinnaholic. I REALLY like the idea of it. But the execution just didn't do it for me. It seems to be more of a novelty dessert than anything. But maybe I just caught them on a bad day. My first ever Vegan cinnamon bun. I lined up for their grand opening along with many other people before it even opened. They had hired a DJ to keep our spirits lifted as we waited to storm Cinnaholic's new home. Now, I get that (mostly?) everything in the shop is vegan. Sourcing items to make vegan items can be challenging and expensive. So I get why they're so pricey. The base cinnamon bus is priced at $5.50. A plain roll is $4.70. But wow, you an customize your cinnamon bus how ever way you like. With over 16 different frostings and over 20 different toppings the sky's the limits. They do have suggested cinnamon buns with variations of frostings and toppings at your disposal if you can't decide. My problem with most cinnamon buns is that they get way too sweet, and piling more sweets on top doesn't help. But I'm glad something like this has opened up on Cap Hill. My personal recommendation is to heat up the bun just a bit before eating it. It makes it 100% better. Keep up the good work Cinnaholic! I'm absolutely appalled that you all are continuing to paint this narrative out as true. I called the store first and had a pleasant conversation with the shift lead and when she didn't call me back I called the store to check in and was repeatedly hung up. ONLY then did I go in person to the store and spoke with the worker on duty. She stated MULTIPLE times that she did not feel threatened and we had a very calm 5 minute conversation about what happened. And when there was nothing that could be done I calmly left. Your store "manager" threatened ME and my mother, who was the only person with me in the store btw, calling us bitches and saying that she was going to fight us if we didn't leave her store. It's funny that you all are willing to throw the blame and not look inward at the micro aggressions being instilled and played out in your store. I was never told that the manager would help the next day I never harassed or even raised my voice at your workers. Mayesa is the only person who did those things. You may think your number one priority may be safety but the only things you are truly prioritizing are racism and disrespect in your restaurant. Got really excited to find out this place is vegan. My sister got two rolls, she enjoyed her indulgent treat. My only suggestion; please include clear allegation signs. I asked specifically if any of the products had soy, everything there has soy in it. I asked if the brownie had soy, the lady told me it did not. I opted for the brownie option because I have food allergies. The brownie was halfway devoured already when I was approached by the same lady who advised me that the brownie did indeed contain soy bean oil. I was mortified, because that could be extremely scary for someone with food allergies. I get annoying hives/rashes the next day from consuming any trace amounts of soy. I'm glad and grateful that she was brave enough to tell me about that while I was eating the brownie because I would not have known where my hives that appeared the next day came from. Like I said, please include allergy signs? It'll help the customers out a lot. Fortunately for myself and that lady who sold me on the brownie, I did not have a extreme allergic reaction but if that happened to someone with extreme allergic reactions- I don't want to sound dramatic- but worst case scenario a customer could have ended up in a hospital. But Mercury is in retrograde so I totally forgive the miscommunication. Also consider possibly making the products without soy or major allergen ingredients? He forgot the coffee, but when I reminded him he added a free brownie. Caramel latte, just ok. Size seemed small for what I ordered Fluffernutter was my favorite roll. Double trouble and peanut butter cup were good, but fluffernutter was better. Cookie dough was tasty, and the maple pecan one was good too. Brownie was super yummy. All in all with a tip was $61. Would I drive down here to get this again? Yes. Not a lot of vegan sweet options near me and sometimes I'm tired of cooking/baking all the time. This hit the spot.
