These are the most unique and delicious cinnamon rolls! One of the best parts is that you can customize your roll. I have already tried 3 different combinations, and each has exceeded my expectations. The rolls are the perfect size and sweetness, not overly sweet at all, and not too big for one person. I love having fruit frosting options, and fresh fruit toppings. For days when i prefer something more decadent there are toppings like brownie bites, caramel or chocoloate sauce, and the list goes on. My hubby tried their chocolate chip cookie and was impressed. I've been to other Cinnaholic locations and always have had positive experiences, but they went above and beyond for my first time at this location! We had to wait a few minutes for them to prepare the coffee toppings for the glen-dough-ra, they explained why it would take a few minutes, were very apologetic, and even gave us a free cookie for the wait. My original every-once-in-a-while-spot in New Jersey is Auntie Anne's. After going Vegan, I'm glad about finding Cinnaholic. All options on the menu are Vegan! After trying the different creams (Raspberry tastes best to me that night), I decide on a savory option which I'm so grateful the establishment has--the Pizza Roll. The dough roll is tasty, and the toppings make the Pizza Roll taste like a pizza! Additionally, the Banana Bread and Plain Roll (cut bits on the plate in a picture attachment--cause I'm not intaking that much sugar in one sitting) are really good (chocolate chip and banana flavors are present well--the roll tastes delicious with the Raspberry cream). We passed by this place during the 2nd street parade and just had to stop in. The shop was busy and you could tell the staff were hustling. Despite the pace the staff were super friendly and attentive. We ended up getting a little bit of everything. The Campfire S'mores roll was soft, warm, and absolutely delicious. The dole whip was amazing as was the hot chocolate. This isn't a place we will just stop in when down on 2nd street, this is now our reason to go to 2nd street! Realizing that this place is 100% vegan was just the icing on the cinnamon roll! We have a child with dietary restrictions and knowing that she can pick anything on the menu without concern made for a refreshing experience. Okay, Cinnaholic, you're being reviewed. I don't know why, but when I moved back to Long Beach, I had no interest in trying Cinnaholic. I heard that they have vegan options and my girlfriend doesn't eat dairy, so that was enough reason to try it. Turns out everything they have is vegan, which made me extra skeptical. No offense to vegans, but they generally have to pretend that bland, uninspired food is actually great. Our first visit completely changed my tune when it comes to Cinnaholic. I had the caramel apple pie roll. The chopped, crisp apples were a wonderful compliment to the roll and I was immediately sold. But is their plain cinnamon roll good, or was all the accoutrement just a sufficient distraction? We had to go back. We grabbed two rolls last night, their plain Old Skool roll and the Cookie Monster roll. They were incredibly busy and working hard to keep up with the demand and accidentally made both rolls plain. When I brought the mistake up to them, they apologized and fixed it right away, which was more than sufficient. Then, they came out to where we were seated and gave us another roll and a coupon for a free roll, which was completely unnecessary in the circumstance, but speaks volumes about their customer service. The Old Skool sounds like it was named by some boomer who turned their REI hat backwards to prove that they are still cool and totally not lame, but it is the best roll on the menu. Fight me. On the other hand, the Cookie Monster is kind of a mess. The roll is great, but the chocolate sauce, chocolate chips, and cookie dough on top distract too much. But maybe you relish in the bad choices you make sometimes; maybe you secretly love dating train wrecks because you don't want to face the march of time and really embrace maturing; maybe you write "Skool" to feel like you're still relevant in this world. The line was a bit chaotic (no real organization) but we were able to get our orders in. We just wanted cinnamon rolls so we went with the classic. The wait was a little while, I'm going to assume they make them fresh/to order, so we waited outside. When I came back inside, I saw my order ready to go at the pick-up area so I walked over and asked if it was all complete. I was told that "I'm calling them in order, and I'm not at yours yet" so I stepped out of the way. No one came to grab the order the associate was calling, so she moved to my order and handed it to me. Strange interaction, but no big deal. We go home to eat our cinnamon rolls and holy cow.
