We have never had a bad plate at Cindy's. Its now changed its name, is under new ownership and they just announced they are raising prices so we will be trying it to see how much has really changed because Cindy's felt like an icon of Dickson. This place was great, they are busy, however, we got sat fairly quick. They cook your meal on the spot. So come with a bit of time. Food was great, service was prompted, and the ambience was busy. Had the western omelette, with coffee. And of course some pancakes. Yall come and enjoy some good breakfast. read more

Everything was delicious and seasoned well. Large portions of food at great prices. We had the French toast, country ham, and the full mess! The full mess was more than 2 people could eat. It had eggs, biscuits, sausages, and lots of hashbrowns covered with thick country gravy. The French toast came with powdered sugar, butter, and syrup but was great without needing the syrup. The country ham was shared at our table with plenty to go around and nothing but the bone left. They gave us bottled 20oz Dr Pepper's. Service was on point with multiple staff checking on us throughout our meal. Will definitely return. read more

This is the perfect breakfast place for someone who likes to avoid chain restaurants and experience small town friendly service. Cindy's is the kind of restaurant where the locals go to eat a hearty meal and spend a couple of hours chatting and drinking coffee. The eggs were perfect, the hash browns and bacon were crispy, and the coffee was often refilled. I'd love to stop in here again sometime. read more

I almost hesitate to write this review as this is place is the best kept local secret. Cindy's Cafe knows how to do Breakfast right and the service is always excellent! It always reminds me of my Grandma's house and how good breakfast was when she made it. We have never had a bad meal here in the many years we have been coming. Cindy's isn't always open but when it is you won't find a better breakfast within a 30 mile drive! Everyone was really nice. I got the Country Boy breakfast plate. I don't recommend getting the grits. They either don't cook the grits with salt or don't use enough. Good grits need to be cooked with salt. You can't add it later. Everything else was great. I had a long drive so I also got a bologna, egg and cheese sandwich to go. Even eating it several hours later and cold by now, it was still good. read more

This is a really nice, friendly roadside country café in Dickson and definitely worth stopping in for breakfast! I tried a fried bologna and egg sandwich with a side of hash browns (with jalapeños in them) and everything was great! These were some of the better hash browns I've had in a long time! Coffee was great too and the staff was very friendly. Prices are very reasonable here too... Definitely stop in and give them a try! read more

Decided to randomly stop off the highway for fresh breakfast and I made one of the best decisions I've ever made. Delicious and fresh!

Dropped in for a Friday lunch after leaving Beaman Ford. Cold outside but warm inside. Ordered water and milk from the hostess. Brittney, the waitress, soon arrived. Ordered hamburger steak with onion and mushrooms - along with a baked potato and turnip greens. Got the steak with turnip greens and white beans with two hush puppies. Quickly received my potato. As I have me ntioned in a few reviews, my wife and I like road trips. On our trips we very rarely stop at chains, franchises or fast food places. Driving from Chattanooga to Memphis on I-40 I asked my wife/co-pilot to find a place for lunch. She read off the usual, Waffle House, Cracker Barrel..."Cindy's Cafe." "We're going there." As we walked in I said to her, "this is exactly the place we want." The place was pretty crowded, with all locals on lunch breaks, who looked up at us and then went back to their conversations and meals. There was a long table in the middle that communal, people sat down with others they did not come with, and struck up conversations. The menu is pretty simple, the food is simple but excellently prepared. I got the meat (6 oz rib eye) and three sides. The food and the service define Southern hospitality. If you are on I-40, ignore the chains, stop at Cindy's. Try the pie for dessert. read more

Little mom and pop type of restaurant, serves breakfast like you would get at grandmas house. Best way to describe it. Their fried bologna is super thick cut and delicious, and the drinks are in massive cups. We've been several times and they've never disappointed. THis is actually a very decent "hole in the wall" type of mom and pop diner. The lunch choices are decent and the line was out the door for people waiting to get in. Small mom and pop's breakfast places are what makes small towns the best. Not a big place, but the food and prices are outstanding. The service was fantastic. You can see the woman cooking all the food on an open grill. The eggs and other ingredients are fresh and the ladies working in there know many patrons by name. I'll definitely be back! read more

This is my favorite breakfast place when they're open. My only day to go here is Saturday, so most Saturday's they are closed even though Google says they're open. I made the mistake of driving down Saturday morning only to find that they were closed, so now I call in the morning and if no one answers the phone then I know they're closed. Great breakfast, I just wish they were open more Saturday's. read more
