Just overall not satisfied with my experience here. The burger was not as I had ordered it, but no surprise there as the waitress did not write down the order. Also, there was zero seasoning on anything, no salt on the fries, no salt or pepper on the burger, just plain Jane grilled ground beef. After I was given my food, the waitress did not return to my table except to give me the check. No offer of a refill on my tea or any simple, "how was everything?". I went here for dinner with a friend the other night. After sitting down we got some menus and ordered sodas. It took a while for the waitress to come back and take our orders, approximately 15 minutes. We ordered 2 burgers, both bacon burgers with fries and we asked in advance for some ranch dressing on the side. Took another 30 minutes to get the food, I timed it. No bacon on one of our burgers and no ranch as I asked for it. The worst part was the meat was room temperature leaning more towards cold. My husband and I went to Luke's around 1:30. We were greeted by several friendly staff, seated, and had our drinks and order placed within minutes. This is a new business, so they are still working things out, but we were extremely impressed. After seeing some comments on the local city Facebook page about long waits, we decided to go support them anyways. We got our food in 25 minutes. The food is decently priced, cooked to order, and fresh. We got the Jake burger and Grandpa Rapp. They are massive juicy burgers loaded with their toppings and seasoned perfectly. Could we see kinks at other tables, yes, but nothing that can't be straightened out with time. Again, they are brand new, so be open minded a little bit, but I highly recommend giving them a chance. My wife and I stopped in this evening for dinner. my wife got the smash burger and I got the patty melt. (would not even feed this to my dog) one side was burnt to a crisp and the other side was raw). Service was also terrible one girl was running around like crazy as the others just stood by and watched. there were not many tables other than two larger parties which again the one girl was running solo. I had to ask her mid run for a waitress and she was so polite and helpful. when I expressed my concerns about the food she offered to correct it and I told her that isn't what I was after. I just want to see this place stay open. I didn't catch the young girls name but she was a total rockstar and certainly needs to be recognized for her work and positive attitude. The only negative thing I will say is that the bathroom was not clean and the waitress seemed to be spacing or distracted as she asked us twice if we had ordered after she took our order. I don't want to go back there. The onion rings were good. Everything else was not good. The bun on my burger was very bad. It was very dry and as one person at my table put it, "inedible." There were three other people with me and their's was terrible too. The rest of the burger was a little weird. A lot of mayo was squeezed on the burger. One piece of lettuce. Etc. The server situation is messy. It seems like you don't have an assigned server, which can be okay, but not here. It resulted in forgotten requests and mixed up orders. Went to Luke's with my fiancé for lunch. We both ordered the smash burger with fries. The burger itself was really good. It was the right size for a hot summer's day to leave you full, but not lethargic. The fries we got were spiraled, a bit on the thicker side, but they were okay. The service was prompt and our waitress was kind. The restaurant has a different vibe that Tony B's for sure, but the sports bar aesthetic compliments the menu nicely. I ordered Luke's yesterday for my fam, we are moving so going out was a no. We ordered from Door Dash. I called to verify a couple of things on my order. I'm not sure who answered but the woman was super nice. Our food got here really fast and it was hot! The burgers were fantastic!! We all got double smash burgers all were made like we like them! Service was slow. Servers were stressed out. Saw employees from kitchen go out a back side door and smoke. Left door open so the smoke came into the restaurant. Saw a couple of them with exposed long beards. One server had long hair and it was not pulled back. The burger was decent. However, half of the ordered toppings were left off. Crinkle fries are not worth getting. They were obviously from a freezer and undercooked. Servers need to be more friendly to ALL and service needs to be faster. This is a new place here in Dickson and I thought I'd give it a try. They were pretty busy at lunch but I was able to get a seat with no issue. The waitress took my order fairly quick and I thought so far so good. I ordered a medium Luke's burger with the sidewinder fries. To say their ticket times were long is an understatement, I know that it's not a fast food place but a 30 minute wait for the food to come was to me excessive. I finally got my burger and fries and was anticipating a really good burger cooked to order. First off like I said I ordered my burger medium and what I got was well done. It was a decent size for the price and the bottom bun was toasted but the top bun was literally cold like it had just been taken out of the refrigerator and for me that was a turnoff.the lettuce, tomatoes, and onions were plentiful and crisp. The Sidewinder fries were very thick and I bit into several that weren't quite done in the middle and that was a bummer. All in all I would rate Luke's as average right now. There was nothing exceptional that made me think wow I have to return for more.The half hour wait for my food would be enough in most cases to make me stay away but I know that being new it can sometimes take a restaurant awhile to hit their stride. In the final analysis I found Luke's to be average. Would I try them again? Probably but definitely not if I didn't have time to kill and with lower expectations. read more

In my quest for the best Onion rings in Dickson, Luke's has taken the lead. They are not like my favorite Louisiana/Florida onion ring style. However they were a nice sized order , quite tasty and once you bite them they don't string out of the battered casing. read more
