Big Burger with cheddar
Arlene W.

We were out previewing some new homes in Ashland City and stopped to try a "local" place on our way home. We were happy with our choice! We each ordered the Big Burger, cooked medium, me with cheddar and the fixins, hubs with provolone and bacon only, crinkle cut fries and hubs got brown gravy for his fries. Absolutely perfect burger! Nice and juicy and cooked perfectly. And y'all know I'm a crinkle cut fries kinda girl, and these didn't disappoint! Great service, friendly servers, great atmosphere! And they have root beer! We'll definitely be back!

This is what happens when you put tater tot's back in the fryer to warm them up the grease is ridiculous.

We used to actually love this bar but in the last seven or eight months it's changed management and has completely gone downhill. The food is spotty at best most times it's either cold or soaked in grease so bad you cannot eat it. The running joke is don't order off the menu ask them what they actually have because they're usually out of 50% of the stuff on the menu. It's like nobody really cares anymore. Until new management comes in we won't be back.

Disgusting undercooked food, chicken tenders were the size of turkey breast. Pathetic food and service.

The hostess greeted us with "if you don't have a reservation, you can have a table for 45 minutes." No where did I see that reservations are required. Luckily 3 spots opened at the bar so we sat there because we were told "you can sit there with no time limit." The bartender serving us made no effort to look anything but annoyed with our presence. We had never been there and had questions but she would just point at the menu. I ordered a Diet Coke, which came in a can, one person with me ordered an old fashioned which was more glass than drink and the other people picked a beer from the list the bartender silently pointed at. This would have been a cool place if at least 1 person working here didn't look like they hated being there. Because of how we had been treated from the start we only ordered 2 appetizers, the dip and the flatbread. The dip was fine but the flatbread was like cat food on burnt toast. Oh and don't bother ordering a tea, I saw them serving bottles of gold peak tea, can't even brew tea. I do not recommend this spot unless you are okay with feeling like a burden and eating subpar food.

The answer is...the answer. Eric R. randomly selected Answer on a list of restaurants we scrolled…read morethrough to make a reservation for on our first night in Nashville this week. It is tucked in a neighborhood in the West End, and most people were surprised we found it or had heard of it as non-locals. It is a very popular spot. We arrived 20 minutes early and snagged the last parking spot in the lot behind the restaurant. Eric R. wanted to sit outside, so we were directed to wait at the bar until a table opened up. I got the cucumber sage yuzu spritz mocktail, and Eric R. got a local amber beer. Our table was ready within 10 or 15 minutes, so we migrated to it for dinner. Our server was helpful in providing recommendations. We started with three shareables: the mussels in lemongrass serrano beer broth and grilled bread, tempura long-stemmed artichokes on Calabrian chile mascarpone, and the lamb lollipops with pearled cous cous. I tasted the lamb, and it was heavenly, like melt-in-your-mouth tender but with a lot of caramelization. That was really Eric R.'s choice so I let him eat the majority of it. I really enjoyed the mussels and the artichokes! Everything was hot and delicious. I was sipping broth with a mussel shell when the bread ran out, and the host came out with more bread for us! It was so good. We asked to see a dessert menu. Eric R. had a tough choice between carrot cake and blondie with caramel ice cream, but was steered toward the blondie and did not regret it. I asked what the house made ice cream was for the day, and it was coconut matcha with a white chocolate shell topping. That sounded so perfect, and it was AMAZING. The evening was beautiful, the restaurant was lovely, the service was fantastic, and the food was delicious! That is the answer!

From my bar stool, I can see the bar is well stocked with bourbons and whiskeys. I started with the Etch Smoked Old Fashioned: Belle Meade bourbon, smoked simple syrup, orange and a dash of bitters started off my night. The bar is busy with people, all seats are taken. The couple sitting next to me are going to see Bruno Mars, it seems like a nice night to start with a fabulous dinner. I came early to have a drink before my reservation. I feel a tap on my shoulder and there are two women asking for the happy hour drink menu. I offer my seat and they're thanking me and asking to pay for my drink? Everyone is very hospitable in Nashville! I tell the hostess I'm ready to sit and I'm seated at the large chefs counter. It's very smart to have this type of seating, it saves the tables for larger parties, there's no reason for lil ol me to take up a table with four seats. My waitress comes over and I studied the menu before I arrived. I'm starting with the Smoked Carpaccio (think of roast beef strips) Made with New York Strip steak and topped with pickled onion & herb relish, fried garlic chips, lemon almond salt and parmesan. This was an award winning starter dish. The steak strips were very flavorful and the crostini points, I ate this dish like little open faced sandwiches. This would be a great dish to share with a larger party. For my main entree, I ordered the Grilled Filet. The meat was cooked perfectly! On the side the dish was served with parmesan lemon whipped potatoes, and topped with a smoked bone marrow butter as well as asparagus spears. The smoked bone marrow was like pocket aces, a nice touch that elevated the dish. While in Nashville, I highly recommend making a reservation at etch.

So thanks to the recognition of them and the ranch was tasty as well. Hamburgers were the best in Ashland, that I have tried. Thanks, and I will definitely be there again. I didn't give 5 stars only cause I think the hamburger needed a little more of a touch, but they are good, and my family would eat them again if I wasn't going to be the cook! Stopped in on a Sunday evening and was really thrilled to find that this place is...basically a clean, friendly "dive" bar. Proper (lowish) lighting, pool tables, friendly barstaff, a stage for live music, a clean restroom. Standard/fair prices. The bar menu looks really good too, but I was too full from a late lunch to sample it (but will next time). Hope to stop in for a few games of pool with a friend in the near future.

We all loved the Giddy Up Espresso Martinis, which were topped with adorable soccer ball design in celebration of the World Cup. We also enjoyed the Serrano & Jalapeño Bloody Mary (definitely brings the heat!), along with the Two to Mango Margarita and the returning Endless Summer Margarita, each had their own place and none disappointed! For brunch, I ordered the Southwest Breakfast Bowl. It was fresh, colorful, and packed with vegetables, making it feel nourishing without being heavy. The flavors worked well together, especially the combination of eggs, veggies, and southwest-inspired seasonings. My only suggestion would be adding a starch element, such as crispy breakfast potatoes or roasted sweet potatoes, to provide a little more texture and make the bowl feel more balanced and substantial. Even so, it was flavorful, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. What really stood out was the service. Our team was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about both the food and drink menu, making the entire experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. Overall, a great spot for brunch with friends, especially if you're looking for creative cocktails, a lively atmosphere, and excellent hospitality. I'll definitely be back for another round of drinks and for sure that Endless Summer Margarita.
