Sidelines seems like a hit or miss. The alfredo used to be really good and I would get it to-go, however, the last few times I got it tasted very watery. After that was no good a couple times, I ordered a side salad to-go and that wasn't good either. Lettuce tasted bitter and was a bit brown. So I took a break for about a year and decided to dine in recently again. My experience dining in was much more enjoyable and the food was much better. My server was so polite, understanding, and personable! I was very impressed given my bad experiences in the past. I recommend the chicken sandwich, steak biscuits, and even the side salad that had disappointed me before. I will say the sweet tea seemed really watered down, but the soda was good. They had music playing and TVs with every sport you could imagine, and the atmosphere was very pleasant and comfortable. Seems like a good place now, not sure if it was just the take-out or if they have changed up their ingredients. Either way, it's a nice little local spot. read more

Table of one...didn't get waited on nor even given a water for 30 minutes while I watched the waitress wait on 4 large parties/ tables that came in after me. The restaurant was not busy whatsoever. I had ordered a wine from the hostess and asked for a water and still was refused one. Have no clue what their attitude was about but I won't be returning. Can't give a consensus on the food unfortunately as I wasn't going to wait another 40 minutes without water or even being greeted nor even asked what I'd like to order. Sidelines Grill is a neighborhood bar and grill located in a shopping plaza, so parking is not an issue. I did not try the food, but the drinks were cold and the service was friendly and professional. The ambiance is pretty cool and both the staff and customers were friendly. I had the pulled pork sandwich and fries. I didn't even think to look to see if anything was on the sandwich because normally pork sandwiches just have pork and maybe some pickles. It had coleslaw on it which I'm not a big fan of but it honestly was still good! Could have had more bbq sauce on it but overall my pulled pork sandwhich was really good and so were my fries. I'm new to the area due to my job so I am absolutely looking forward to trying different menu items! I only discovered this place a couple years ago but have since eaten there several times. It's midway between Nashville and Clarksville, so my experience has all been midday meals. Having said that, I along with friends and family have explored the menu pretty well and I haven't had anything yet that I wouldn't gladly order again. The prices are very reasonable, and the service has always been charming and prompt. I'll even be there today, as my wife has suggested it after only eating there once. read more

We really wanted to like this place based on the reviews but alas, I feel honestly is the best policy. Let's start with what went well. The inside is clean, nicely laid out, good decor and no problem with sound (ie, it wasn't very loud even when it was pretty full.) The service was terrific; our waitress was super kind, helpful, kept our drinks full and checked on us regularly to make sure we had everything. 5 stars for service and facilities. Where the experience fell short was in the food. Overall, most everything we ordered was "meh" at best. I'll be more specific. Pizza- yes it was one topping, but even it didn't taste good. The crust was flabby, pasty; not at all crisp. The sauce was flavorless and the overall experience was less than that of a frozen pizza. Chicken fried chicken- this was actually pretty good. I did enjoy this. I chose the sides of fried okra which were very good, coleslaw which I enjoyed , and Mac n cheese. I'll talk more about that in a min. Served with actually cold ( not even room temperature) cornbread which probably would have been good if was anything but straight from the refrigerator and microwaved to warm the outer edge leaving a chilled center. Three of us ordered the Mac N Cheese. I don't know how to mess it up like this, but the cheese sauce was runny, and flavorless. No one liked it and we do not recommend it. The fries with the kids menu were good. The pulled pork was full of gristle and dry, we didn't eat most of it. The green beans tasted straight from a can without any other seasonings. We couldn't eat them. The salad was nice, decent size and fresh so that was a positive. Everything about this restaurant is full of potential and with a little care in the kitchen it wouldn't take much to make this a top spot to eat; but as it is, the food is 2 stars at best. The Hampton recommended Side Lines which is only a few blocks from the Hotel. I trusted them the night before and they didn't steer me wrong. The restaurant is two large areas separated by a partial wall. One side is the bar area and the other side is a dining area. Live music is performed in the bar area on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The menu covers everything from appetizers, steaks, sandwiches and dinners. The Saturday night dinner specials are a good deal for $8.99. I had the Country Fried Steak with mashed potatoes and Mac and Cheese. The Country Fried Steak came out super hot and the mashed potatoes w/gravy and Mac and Cheese was hot and good also. Cassie, my server, delivered everything quickly from cocktails to the main course including the bill and returned it within minutes. I think if you enjoy comfort food, Sidelines will be a good fit. read more

This is a tough one. Our meals were a very good chicken club sandwich and a French dip sandwich. Sweet potato fries best I've found. Nice salad. Beef stew soup very good. Service by S was excellent. This location exceeds the Ashland City location by far for a number of reasons. Would give Pleasantview a 4 1/2 stars BUT the flies were gross. Why flies in a 21 century restaurant in TN is beyond me. Saw a gap in a door frame and door which didn't help. The AC location has not so friendly service but NO flies. read more

The best part of this place was the service. Young lady who took care of us was quick and made sure we always had what we needed. I did feel the set up of the place was nice, and enjoyed the garage like windows. The food- was just run of the mill type food. It was very overwhelming to read 3 different menus. We started our journey out to South Dakota on a late note and really were hungry as hostages. Rolling into Pleasant View, TN, we thought to try Sidelines since our original choice was closed for the day. It is a fusion of bar and restaurant. Live music permeated the front restaurant area and it looked like this was a local favourite. We were sat immediately. Everyone around us seemed to act like there was never a pandemic. Interesting as we walked in with masks and got some stares. Ok then, I thought. My biggest beef was how long we had to wait for our drinks snd service at first. I considered leaving but kept patiently waiting. I got the 12oz Ribeye special. The hubby took up on the French dip. That's where things got really better! The ribeye was cooked a perfect medium to my delight! The baked apples and baked potato complements I chose were delicious and simple to the core. My hungry stomach was vanquished. The hubby thoroughly enjoyed his French dip and the potato skins he got. Moved by the great meal, we got peach cobbler next with vanilla ice cream. Nothing fancy, just plain old Southern delight! Fresh prepared and hot, the cobbler was to die for - the ice cream made it extra indulgent! The staff were very friendly and pleasant. The restaurant itself is clean and well-maintained. I watched the staff clear a few tables and saw them attentively scrubbing them down. Gotta give them respect for that attention to detail. The musician was a bit tone deaf that night, but oh, well. Apparently, they have live music on weekends back in the bar area regularly. So what were the points off for? The wait at the start was one big reason. Kinda crazy to lose sight of a customer right off like that. Also, the dinnerware was chipped heavily - well-worn. My true score would have been 3.5 stars, but we know we can't do that on Yelp!! Traveling through the Nashville area, we stayed in Pleasant View,TN. The hotel gave us a list of local restaurants and she recommended Sideliners. It did not disappoint! Our server (Kloe) was a sweet young lady. She gave great suggestions, and excellent service. The food was great. One person had the smokehouse burger, beef was excellent. Another ate the meatloaf, it was a thick slice, came with 2 sides. He ate it all! I had the biscuits with steak. So tender! If we are back in the area again, we will stop! read more

First, let me say the service was wonderful!! Tiffany was amazing, and the other ladies working were super friendly. We started with the brisket sliders....amazing!! I could make a meal out of them! I had the Meat plus 2 plate, fried pork chops which reminded me of my Gramma's. I also got mac and cheese. It was good, and the greens had a great flavor, and they brought a side of vinegar. And the icing on the cake was the cornbread with "kitchen" butter!! So good!! My husband got the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich, he said it was very good and the fries were great! Don't let the outside of this place fool you. It is located in a strip mall, but the food is delicious. My husband had the hamburger steak and I had the grilled chicken dinner. Absolutely terrible overall. I ordered the 12 oz. steak medium well but it came out undercooked. I asked them to cook it a little longer and then they brought it out overcooked. The steak also still had fat left going through the cut that I got. The mac and cheese was decent, the cheese sticks were decent, but everything else was terrible. I literally could not eat anymore of my steak and had them take it off my tab. The manager didn't want to take the steak off my tab so I had to tell them that I could not eat anymore of it and did not want it anymore in order to get them to do so. The waitress was also terrible. She didn't know what to say when asked questions about the food during the ordering process and she was rude during the entire visit. To top it off, she came running out of the restaurant after me and my coworkers because one of them paid with cash and she thought he had shorted her ONE DOLLAR and didn't want to pay it herself even though he paid her the full amount that he was supposed to!! Good food, good service, pretty weak on atmosphere. The food here is very well prepared and the servers are friendly and attentive. The experience however is dull. There's no imagination whatsoever placed into the design of this place, making it a rather boring experience. I believe a lot of places which serve good food think food is the only thing their guests are after. The truth is if food was all we were after we'd stay home and save money.
