We were looking on yelp for a local place to visit...pbody's was high in the rankings on yelp! When driving towards it, we noticed it was a country club. We arrived and went on in. We were allowed to stay and were sat immediately! The waitress was very sweet...she brought us the homemade chips with ranch seasoning on them. They were very good and we were starving! My husband had the chicken, bacon, avocado wrap with fries and I had the chicken tenders with tater tot's. He said the wrap was good...the chicken tenders were made fresh to order like grandmas fried chicken, delicious! Exploring some of the more recommended restaurants in the Clarksville area that I've yet to try out, we made our way to Pbody's for a recent summer day out and about in the area. It's located in a country club on a golf course and not particularly helpfully labelled on the outside but easy enough to find. Nice on the inside, friendly service. The menu is quite extensive but mostly in the same wheelhouse--other than "Tarcos" (Americanized tacos)--southern, fried, burgers, American fare. Several items I'd like to try if we're ever here again. We kept it simple for lunch this time. I had the chicken tenders (lunch portion) with the fries, added a side of mac and cheese. My wife had the chicken wrap and an order of green beans. We also had the TN BBQ spring rolls as an appetizer, and the complimentary house-cut and cooked potato chips. The chicken tenders were good--tasted freshly cooked, tasted like real chicken that had been hand dipped and fried. The fries were super crispy. Mac and cheese gooey and pretty good. The housemade chips are good, the BBQ spring rolls were probably the best thing we tried. My wife enjoyed the wrap and appreciated the chicken was well seasoned and they didn't rely on overdoing the sauce to cover the flavor. She thought her green beans a bit too salty, but not terribly so. I'd like to try the desserts some time, we were way too full this time. I'd say this was a strong "3", a 3.5 if Yelp allowed for such ratings. Given another visit or two to try other things possibly a "4" in time. Found this gem by chance, while passing through Clarksville, TN We were a little thrown off by the fact that this restaurant is in a country club and there are no external signs letting you know where you are to go, or even if it's ok to enter the private country club. We took a chance, found it and were extremely happy that we did. The place is beautiful, the staff a delight and the food amazing. I had the spicy parmigiana chicken on a bed of spaghetti noodles, her the shrimp and grits. Now, we have tried a lot of shrimp and grits, but this is hands down the best we have ever had. It's the butter grits and the brown gravy with onions, peppers and mushroom combination that really sets this dish apart. The chicken parmigiana was tender and juicy, my only complaint is I wanted more sauce..... and if you are hearty eater, you won't be disappointed with the portion sizes... we easily could have split one meal and still had left overs. Go have a great country club meal, without the country club prices! We would definitely seek out this restaurant when passing through again! Why is everything either overly salty or bland? If you're going to eat here, only get a burger or sandwich. It's the only thing we've ever gotten off their menu that's worth eating. This is the second time I've ordered, and I wish I had remembered the first order. I wouldn't have ordered a second time if I had remembered the tragic green beans again. My husband said we had ordered before, but it wasn't memorable, and now, based on my opinion, it was horrible enough that I blocked it out. He loves their burgers, and I must say, every time he's ordered one, it looks fantastic. However, if you're going to order anything else, be advised their sides are atrocious and certainly aren't fresh by any stretch of the imagination. Their green beans reek of soy sauce, and Worcestershire. They don't taste like southern green beans; they taste like a salty, disgusting, mess! I'm more than positive that they originated out of a can before being soaked in some kind of soy sauce brine! I ordered their okra, which was subpar and oddly underseasoned, reminding me of something that came out of a bag. I also tried their "honey squash", which gives you zero indication it will come fried, burnt, heavily breaded and disgusting. I don't know where the honey part cames in because it wasn't sweet; it was just overly breaded, bland, fried yellow squash. A very misleading representation of what I thought would be sautéed in someway with a honey glaze, not the case! I also got their half rack of ribs with their Pbody sauce, which I don't know what to make of it. I was forced into wiping it off because it had too much vinegar and salt, nothing like a traditional barbecue sauce. I also think they brine them and either left them in a little too long or their brine ratio is horribly off because even the meat was horribly salty. Someone needs to control the sodium levels because my blood pressure was through the roof two ribs in, it was disgusting. I wish we had a Jim and Nick's near, hands down their ribs are fantastic. Heck, I've had better ribs sold outside of a Kroger's before. In summary, they're good at making burgers, but anything else is subpar at best. Worthy of a Gordon Ramsay kitchen nightmare episode! Nothing they make is reminiscent of good old southern cooking. I think they just wanted an expensive menu while cutting corners as much as possible. Not making anything from scratch, nothing's fresh. Everything is doctored, over seasoned, and atrocious. If it doesn't already come out of the bag and bland it came out of a can then overcompensated to hide that fact with heavy seasoning, you just can't win! As somebody who learned how to cook from their grandmothers kitchen with fresh food, and spends quite a bit of time in the kitchen myself, when I order out I want something comparable if not better than what I can make! This was a horrible disappointment and waste of money! It's truly unfortunate when a restaurant excels at one particular dish but struggles to replicate its success when trying to offer a diverse menu. This results in missed opportunities and subpar food. Instead, stick to burgers and sandwiches, or hire a professional chef to reduce and revamp your menu with items that you can make successfully without relying on pre-packaged ingredients. Currently, you're not equipped to consistently deliver high-quality across the board. read more

The food here is always delicious! Service is excellent, especially considering the size of our party. It was the perfect spot for our friend's birthday luncheon in a room that was just off the main restaurant, so it was semi-private. My friend ordered several appetizers for the table and everyone devoured them. I have few photos since my phone battery died at the start of the luncheon, but I have been enjoying P'body's delectable food since they were located on Riverside Drive! The new location of the restaurant within the Country Club is very nice and has elevated their menu and dining experience! TBH, I also loved the original restaurant with all of its eclectic decor surrounding you with fun and/or rare collectibles. Comfortable booth seats were my favorite. It was a very casual and comfortable, at-home and welcoming dining feel - which I still miss. One of my friends (who has since moved away) and I enjoyed going for just dessert sometimes. The pies! Visited on a Friday for lunch. Table of four and were seated right away. Waiter was attentive, but not overly. French fries were great. Fried pickle chips were extremely salty. Shrimp and grits were flavorful, included sausage so not a traditional version. Hamburger was huge. Music was loud so hard to have a conversation. read more

The breading slid off my fingers in a sign of freshness. Think, full flavor. The sides were housemade beans (with beef and spices) and housemade macaroni and cheese. All delicatably good. Was looking for something i had not tried before while in Clarksville and decided to give Pbody's a try. I wasn't sure where i was going, even after growing up in Clarksville i never went to the golf club. It is inside the club house at the golf course. I can see that they probably get pretty busy on the weekends and when the weather is nice considering the popularity of the club. I just came in to order lunch to go and got the bison sliders and a side of fries and waited at the bar while my food was cooking. The staff was really nice and professional. The prices were fair for the area and the selection was good. It's definitely a pub style food selection, lots of meat options, not much for editorials and nothing for vegans except fries, but this is to be expected for the style of restaurant. The only thing i found confusing was just finding the restaurant and even after you enter into the club its somewhat confusing on where to go and there isn't any information on their website. Overall though the food was good, service was good and I'll keep this as one of my options when in town next. read more

Stopped in for an impromptu dinner. Despite a couple private parties and being a Saturday night we were seated quickly. The menu was well organized with great pictures. We ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, meatloaf and "best of both worlds burger" everything was perfectly prepared and quickly brought to our table. The food was delicious! They also served several local craft beers at very reasonable prices. If I'm ever back in Clarksville I'll definitely eat here again! Honestly, presentation of the food was great, buuuut...Food tasted like it was catering food, something that was reheated later after premade the day before. Staff was amazing and very nice, always had drinks refilled and took care of us. Had a pretty musty smell I might add, and was quite weird to see carpet in a restaurant still. Ok. I cried when P'body disappeared from riverside... It reopened in the Clarksville Country Club, and we have been religiously going there for work and for family dining... and also work catering. For work, I took people high up in corporation and other visitors for the most upscale version dining that Clarksville has to offer. I tried their salad, brisket tarcos, filet mignon, burgers and Hirono chicken and their chicken tenders. They were all consistently very good. One thing I should note is that they fry their brisket that goes in the tarcos and some were over fried. I tried the filet mignon on the company and it was cooked to the temperature of request and it was pretty good. The chicken tenders were good with buffalo and ranch sauces on the side. My family went out to dine for Sat lunch and they had a nice kids menu. The little one went for corndogs and mac and cheese and the older one went for the chicken tenders. They cleaned their baskets! My husband went for the Best of both words (Pulled pork with your burger patty) and my goodness! IT was HUGE! I got the Hirono chicken with teriyaki on the side as I found it to be too saucy and wanted to control the salt. I used about half of what they gave me. I also got broccoli and the broccoli was prepare very southern style drenched in butter! My younger one took over the broccoli. We notified our server that we have nut allergies and she made sure nothing we had had nuts in it. My child was fine after eating here. Their homemade chips is soo addicting, I asked my husband to keep it away from me. If they sold that to go, I would take a truckload with me. We also catered for work and for home party and they give you a lot of food! And over abundance of sauce! Everything was good, especially the pulled pork and wings! I was surprised this was at the golf course inside the club house. I guess I didn't do my research. No dress code but keep in mind you're coming to a nice golf course setting. Plenty of free parking available. I was also surprised we got seated right away, no wait. Once seated it took a LOOONG time to received our menus and water. Order drinks from the bar and those took a loooong time to receive as well. This was my first time eating here and was surprised they brought out homemade chips as a free appetizer. They were REALLY good. Be warned because I damn near filled up on them. I order a bowl of chili and the Bayou fish tacos. My wife ordered the elk burger sliders. The chili was really good. The Bayou fish tacos were surprisingly really good, great flavor, but the presentation/ look of them wasn't great. Seemed they sat under a heat lamp for a long time, but they tasted great. The Elk burger sliders were a little dry and lacked flavor. The fries were good though. Overall I would recommend giving this place a try. Unique venue with great views as the back wall is all windows looming over the golf course. Prepare for a bit of a wait for service, but it's worth it if you have some patience. read more

Very nice and comfortable dining spot. The menu is full of choices. Not bar food - real food. Salads, Sandwiches, steaks, Chicken, appetizers galore. The Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich is my favorite, my wife loves the Salmon. We both like their homemade potato chips. We go here to eat away from the crowded downtown and mall areas.
