When I was staying in Dickson for work, and realized that they were not just open; but the breakfast buffet was back; I went immediately there.

Your Hometown Sunday Hero (feat. A Pregnant Woman and a Bagel)…read more Listen. I've been trying for days to get my hands on one of these famous hand-rolled bagels, but they sell out faster than I can roll out of bed (and I'm 28 weeks pregnant, so that's saying something). This morning, I finally wake up and the only flavor left is cinnamon raisin -- which, lucky for me, happens to be my personal carb soulmate. I'm watching the online inventory drop like it's the stock market, panic-messaging the shop like, "Hi yes, it's me, your local pregnant lady. Please save one. I'm driving 20 minutes for it." They hadn't even responded yet, but I was already in the car -- hair a mess, slippers on, determination in my soul. Then... they posted SOLD OUT. I almost pulled over to cry into my steering wheel. Every other bakery in town was closed, and I was about to spiral into bagel despair. And then -- out of nowhere -- a message pops up: "We set one aside for you! What kind of spread would you like?" You guys. I could have named my unborn child after them right then and there. I walked in and there it was -- my glorious cinnamon raisin bagel, toasted to perfection and slathered with strawberry cream cheese so good it made me question every life decision I've ever made. As I drove off, cars were pulling up and I just knew they were jealous. I didn't even make it two minutes down the road before I was parked at a random gas station, finishing it like it was the last meal of my life. If you're wondering whether this place is worth it -- yes. Yes, it is. They are true Sunday morning heroes, serving up small-town miracles and saving pregnant women one bagel at a time.

Delicious Home Cooked Food!…read more We visited the Beacon Light Tea Room on a cold Saturday morning for breakfast, and I'm so glad we did! The staff greeted us warmly and the cozy restaurant makes you feel right at home. Their biscuits are small but tasty, especially when accompanied by their jams and gravies. I love their Sawmill gravy and I'd strongly recommend you add the hashbrown casserole to any breakfast you order. The coffee was fresh and my eggs were cooked perfectly. I look forward to returning!

Love the twisted break fireplace in the middle of the room when you walk inside. We were asked to sit anywhere we liked, greeted quickly and our food came quickly as well. A nice basket of biscuits came and we dove right in with the complimentary and delicious peach and strawberry preserves- both were so good. Our sausage and eggs came with choice of gravy and we bit went with sawmill, then out our sausage patties on the biscuits we still had and voila! Perfection! The staff were friendly and we enjoyed looking at the Bon Aqua and restaurant history via photos placed in the hallways . Very interesting. Men's and women's restrooms were clean, ample parking and a good all around stop!

I love to leave a great review when I can... especially when the restaurant has a lot of low…read morereviews. I've been to many Cracker Barrels all over the south. This is the first time I've been there since all the 'controversy' . This visit was nothing but perfect. Long line / busy but seated in less than 10 min with a warm welcome and smile. Atmosphere was warm , fireplace going , ole' country charm still there. Food came out quick and was great ( I mean CBRL great ... not like this is a Michelin rated restaurant). It was just as it should be. Tried the new hash brown casserole Shepards pie. OMG... this was soooo good. Walked around the store a bit on the way out and got a nice gift for someone back home. CBRL is and always will be a staple to stop along the highway.... Or up the street in a neighborhood near you. The media would have you believe that this place is dead. It is very much alive. ... by the way, full transparency. I'm very conservative and didn't like the changes to the logo or the remodels. Glad to see things 'back to normal'

Walked in and was immediately hit with the smell of biscuits, gravy, and nostalgia. The front porch had rocking chairs like it was just waiting for someone to sit down and tell stories about "the good ol' days." Inside, it's part restaurant, part gift shop, part time machine--with everything from vintage candy to socks with sassy sayings on them. The food? Comfort food central. Chicken and dumplings, meatloaf, pancakes bigger than your face--nothing fancy, but everything is warm and filling. The biscuits alone deserve their own fan club. And don't even get me started on that little triangle peg game at the table. I never win, but I respect the hustle. Service is usually friendly, even if it's a little slow when they're slammed (which they often are). But you're not there to rush--you're there to lean into the gravy-soaked slow-down.
