    Tacos al pastor

Great service, food and atmosphere under two roofs (if you count the covered patio a roof)! It's my local "go to" place when dad needs a margarita and or a perfectly prepared fish taco. Cinco offers a bustling vibrant atmosphere that can be a bit loud sometimes, but that's only due to everyone having a good time. No bad vibes in here! My top recommendations are: Fish tacos. I prefer them grilled. Enchiladas in mole negro. Perfect. Tacos de asada al carbon. Vegetarian options available too. Great selection of beers and cocktails are available and of course brought to your table by a friendly knowledgeable server. If you're in town and close by...do stop in...relax and let Cinco take care of your hunger and thirsty needs. Cheers! P.S. I'd also start off with the chips, salsa and guacamole before the main course. Trust me!

Food was fresh and fantastic. I ordered the chicken tacos and the side of salsa, guacamole, and chips. It was all very fresh and delicious. Clean and modern inside. However, there is only street parking in front or a very small parking area on the back side of the building.

Cinco is a true hidden gem just moments from Loyola Marymount University in Westchester, Los Angeles. Recommended by our daughter, I was instantly captivated by how incredibly delicious the food was--every dish we tried was perfect. The friendly, attentive service made our experience even more enjoyable. With its lively sports-bar atmosphere, Cinco is a favorite among locals seeking authentic Mexican flavors that are both amazing and affordable. Definitely give Cinco a try--you won't be disappointed!

Customer service great, wasn't really anyone in there when we were there(not a bad thing just an observation, maybe they were preparing for the dinner rush) Food was ok nothing to really brag about, looked better than it taste. May try again.

I have been coming to this place for brunch for years and it's about high time I wrote a review. I always get the same thing; huevos rancheros ($18) without the sauce on top, substitute pinto beans for black beans. This time tho, I discovered how yummy their tomatillo sauce was and put that on top. Winner!!! My boyfriend got the burrito with pastor ($16) and he enjoyed it but it was kind of small. Service can be a bit slow as there are not many ppl working. The prices are a bit high for other dishes on the menu when it's not brunch, they range for about $26 and the portions a bit small (not for huevos but for other things I've tried) like $24 for 2 fish tacos. Also, I wish they gave you free chips and salsa but they charge $6 for that and $16 for chips, salsa and guacamole. All in all, I love the huevos and this place also holds special memories for me and they have a lovely outdoor space now too. I also like that they have added backs on the booths for Covid as it is much more private than it used to be.

Tlayuda with Al Pastor - good for 2-3 ppl!

I've been to Cinco a few times now, all during lunchtime, and my experience has been fantastic. It's not usually crowded, and there's plenty of tables and booths as well as a large bar counter. Service is attentive and they check on patrons pretty frequently. What I really love about this place is that they offer Tlayuda, which is not commonly served at Mexican restaurants in So Cal. Tlayuda is a large, super thin, crispy tortilla topped with bean spread, meat, lettuce or cabbage, asiento and Oaxacan cheese. I've only had it in Mexico City with chapulines (grasshoppers) as a topping. That'd be cool if they served that option here too. :) Besides the Tlayuda, they have a decent selection of appetizers, soups, salads, entrees and taqueria items. Other dishes I've tried here and found delicious were the Oaxacan wings, Aguachile, Shrimp Tostada Salad, and Pork Shank in mole sauce. Portions are generous and everything I tried were cooked and seasoned just right. Seems they have a great happy hour and full bar I'd like to try! There's also a parking lot in the back.

Cinco is great. They have so many drink options and delicious food items to pick from. Last time I was here I had the torta. This time I opted for the aguachiles. They were perfectly spicy and the shrimp was cooked so it wasn't too chewy and had great texture. The house margarita was delicious and had a perfect amount of tequila. The ambiance was chill and the music selection is great. I love how authentic the place is. Attentive and friendly customer service.

Was in town on a Tuesday night and was craving some Taco. This place popped up as the most rated with good reviews so we picked it. Decorations geared towards a bar with minimum lighting. Food was okay and was really on the expensive side. Totaling almost $60 for 4 tacos. Tap water did have a taste. For the least, I managed to save myself from a hunger

First visit and wow..Definitely returning. With the huge bar inside with plenty of seating inside and out, large parties are no problem. The food is made fresh to order with authentic flavors. If you haven't been here you have to make a stop and give them a try.

This is a fun little place. Probably a better bar than a restaurant; the food is very good but not great. The soft tacos were very decent but needed just a bit more spice I think. They're an excellent choice if you don't like spicy food. The chips and guacamole are also quite delicious but not stellar. One think that kinda stuck out was how good the water was. I realize that's a weird thing to comment on but it really was delicious water. Mexican music playing in the background. Two different sporting events playing on two TVs. Minimalist furniture. I will come here again and try some of the real food which I saw but wasn't able to eat. So, I don't drink anymore but if I did I would come here a lot.

We were staying nearby so my family and I decided to come in for dinner. It feels a lot like a neighborhood bar. Not all that busy but lots of groups of people chatting and having a good time. They do have large TVs for the games. We shared chips and guacamole and salsa which was delicious! My mom and aunt decided to try the mahi mahi tacos which they enjoyed. My sisters got chicken enchiladas while I got chicken tacos. The chicken wasn't dry!! Woohoo! My older sister tried the horchata which tasted like it was missing cinnamon while my mom and other sis shared Mexican coke. It's not a bad restaurant. I liked the vibe. It was kinda dark in there, so my aunt had to use her phone's flashlight to see the menu. LOL but the waiter did turn on the light right by our table which helped a bit. The staff was nice and food didn't take long. There's a small parking lot next to it but you can also find street parking.

White washed Mexican food. Definitely not Authentic at all. The Agua Chile was not spicy at all, needed lime and salt. The fish tacos lacked seasoning. Overall they prioritize presentation as of the dishes lacked seasoning and I wish we went somewhere else.

Delicious Mexican food served in a casual dining-hall atmosphere. Service is prompt and friendly. The menu has plenty of choices for vegetarians and pescatarians in addition to the usual meat options. The esquite is divine -- just the right combination of smoky sweetness from the roasted corn to ho with the tang of the chipotle mayo and the tamarind salsa. The tacos borrachos with fried shrimp are flavorful and immensely satisfying.

I don't remember what it was called, and they took it off their menu. But it was delicious mushrooms on cornmeal topped with magic.

Avoid. Not authentic. The service is fine but the clientele and general ambiance is catered to gringos who think salt is spicy.

Cool to watch the chefs work with the open kitchen atmosphere. Farm to table dining, menu seems to switch up depending on what's in season, but my friend was pumped that the sticky toffee pudding was still on the menu since she last visited! Guava mojito: Very refreshing with mint but perhaps too watered down as I barely tasted the gin Smoked Tomat: An interesting smoky and savory drink, pretty strong (for me) Asparagus: I wish I got a photo of this because the black butter they used made us call this oil spill asparagus. Some of the ends were pretty tough and inedible and it tasted pretty much just like a vegetable not a lot of salt or butter flavor. Wouldn't get it again. Potatoes: BEST PART!!!!!!!!! GET THESE! Crispy but soft in the center, buttery goodness Blackened Cod with green curry and mystery string bean: The cod was tender and definitely tasted like the fish had been caught today. This dish would have benefitted from a side of rice to sop up all that green curry, especially since its family style shared food in a shallow plate it was hard to enjoy much of the curry. It also had a mystery black string bean that looked like a snake and some very pickley pickled vegetables. Odd flavor profile to say the least and not visually appetizing or Instagramable ha! Welsh rarebit (we thought the menu said rabbit)! This item was described to us as an open faced grilled cheese but it reminded me more of like Francesinha in Portugal without the meat. It was not really cheese bread at all. It was huge to where we thought it was almost a cake or a piece of meat tbh. It was very dense and while a few bites were good I think I would've rather tried the bread with butter. Sticky Toffee Pudding: Decadent, but not really a pudding at all. It's more of a dense loaf with a toffee demiglaze. My friend loves it because the dish is hot with the cold ice cream scoop on top. The flavor was a very rich and strong toffee flavor. I think I might like something sweeter though next time. Very generous letting the girls gab for over an hour and didn't feel rushed out. And apparently they have a rooftop?! I might come back for the atmosphere but the food wasn't craveable for me EXPENSIVE! Oops! For a casual vibe the price isn't casual yall. We split all of these items and ended up paying ~$95 each with tax and tip.
