Honey Glazed Salmon

Great atmosphere! Very clean. Wait staff very friendly. Huge portion at breakfast! And huge portion at dinner (pictured). The salmon was cooked tender with a crispy skin. Prices match the portion size and quality of the food is good for the price,

The food was overall very good. The chilaquiles come with green sauce, and I'm usually more of a red sauce person, but they were still delicious. The pancakes had a great presentation and tasted just as good. My brother-in-law had the chilaquiles the day before, and he also enjoyed them, so the food seems to be consistently good. Definitely worth a visit!

The only eatery in the Culver City Hilton. The restaurant closes early, so late arrivals will be stuck with not so great takeout options. Breakfast buffet was much better, although choices limited. Stay away from the "hard-as-rock" sausages.

Excellent food - one of the best breakfasts I've had in my life. From quality to taste to presentation to feel after - all 10's on a scale of 5. The lobster benedict was excellent. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the English Muffin crisp but not hard, just the right amount of lobster and spinach which actually tasted like lobster and spinach. The Hollandaise Sauce could be slightly improved. Bella got the fruit plate which was devoured. Both presentations were forms of art and appreciated. I feel badly for the chef, but he has a terrible serving staff. They were literally no where to be found. I literally got up, went behind the counter to pour myself a coffee. That was just one incident.

Vanilla Pancake with alleged "banana compote, whipped butter and warmed syrup" - $17

This review is for the misleading breakfast menu and mediocre food. We came here for the free yoga Saturday and was told that we get a glass of mimosa afterwards if we eat at their "newly renovated" restaurant. We did. There was no one to seat us until I had to flag the valet guys over. We were asked what we want to drink and we said the free mimosa after yoga. I ordered the "vanilla pancakes" which was described as with "banana compote, warm syrup, and whipped butter". Delicious right? Ehhh .. not quite. What I got was 3 pancakes from their continental breakfast, 2 packaged butter, a little tin of room temp syrup, and some misc berries on top. There were NO BANANA COMPOTE, NO WHIPPED BUTTER, and the syrup was definitely NOT WARMED. Taste is just mediocre, like your typical continental breakfast. If they labeled it as just regular pancakes with berries, this wouldn't be an issue. However the fact that they advertised it as something fancier, and then bait and switch to some basic ass pancakes is where it's shady af. Then when the bill comes, of course they charged us for the 2 glasses of mimosa ($16 each lol). I told them we came for the free mimosa that was part of their advertisement of "stretch and sip". Our server was nice enough and said he would check for us but he said he "never heard of it before". Hmmm... very strange. They do validate parking (across the street from the hotel), but there is also free street parking just a block away on Arizona. Overall, would I come back to this restaurant - NOPE. Yoga, maybe. Yoga was a whole other issue - on the west lawn - aka the dogs potty area. Yuck. There was dried shit around the yoga mats. Let's just say it was not very namaste. More like nahimout.

Surprisingly good food for a Hotel restaurant, I ordered the All American Breakfast and my partner ordered the Crab Cake Benedict. The All American Breakfast was very solid with all the food tasting pretty fresh, albeit pretty expensive for what it was but after all it's what you expect in a hotel. The crab cakes which I did not have the chance to snap a picture of were really solid which I was very pleasantly surprised by. Good stop if you're staying here.

Chicken Strips and Fries

Ordered some late night room service as I was staying in the hotel which it sits in. Had some chicken strips and it was fresh and for delivery, the fries were still crispy.

The food was delicious and also catered to my son who is a pretty picky eater. The menu is not very big but there is something for everyone.

I've never had anything like it! so tart, refreshing, savory and omg i'm drooling just thinking about it. the drinks were also super refreshing! honestly everything we got here was amazing so you can't do any wrong. can't wait to go back and try everything else!

The steak was cooked really poorly and was very very chewy. Sauce was nearly inedible. We each took one bite and could not eat any more of it. First time ever leaving a steak dish alone, ever. I like the idea of a wasabi infused au poivre sauce but it was extra bitter and had a funky sour taste to it. 2. Kimchi was WAY too salty. I understand kimchi is salted during brining, but we each had one piece and couldn't eat any more. I lean towards a saltier palate but I just couldn't eat more. 3. The chicken wings tasted fine, but they weren't even tossed with the sauce completely. Some pieces had only a few drops of sauce. None were fully coated. I'm not sure if that's intentional, but I wanted to point it out. 4. Salad was served in a full bowl and we were instructed to toss the salad ourselves. Either the salad should be tossed with the dressing or we should have a bigger bowl? This might just sound nit-picky, so I'll just leave it at that. 5. We ordered one of everything on the late night menu, and we were told that the tuna was sold out. No problem. When the food came out, we had 2 orders of the wings come out. We only ordered one. When we asked, we found out that the server mistakenly put one order of the wings and one order of the wings combo. Honest mistake, no problem. We had everything come out except the kimchi pancake, and when we asked about it, we were told, "oh, that must be sold out too then." Maybe the kitchen had an off night? I even thought possibly it was because we went too late? But we arrived at the restaurant just past 12 and restaurant closes at 2am on a Saturday, and we didn't receive any notice of a last call in the kitchen, so I don't think that was the issue. Ambiance was fine, server was kind - just hard to get past the food. I replied to an email from the restaurant asking about our dining experience with the above mentioned and got zero response, so now I feel like this just needs to be shared to the public. Maybe the generic automated email is also telling to the laziness of the food. I'm sure their actual dinner menu is better, but what's the point if the food isn't consistent across the board? Maybe don't do the late night menu if it's going to be regarded as unimportant. Again, this is my one experience there from just the late night menu. Not sure if i want to give it another try for a while, but one bad experience usually carries more weight than good ones, unfortunately. Lastly, for a "no tipping" policy where they enforce a 20% fee to cover their operations, I should expect much better from the restaurant. Very, very disappointing. Was really hopeful for this restaurant, but here we are. Hope they do better moving forward.

It Was the Best Yet at Simonette!…read more I stopped by Simonette in Culver City on Friday for happy hour with a friend, and what started as happy hour turned into a really beautiful evening. Simonette is located inside Palihotel in Culver City, and I really enjoyed the intimate outdoor setting. There were trees, twinkling lights and a warm, inviting atmosphere that made the evening feel extra nice. The space is smaller than I expected, but not in a way that felt cramped. Parking can be a little tricky, so definitely plan ahead. Valet is $17, but there are other parking options nearby if you don't mind walking. We actually arrived about 45 minutes late for our reservation because we weren't familiar with the parking situation, but thankfully they were still able to accommodate us. I would recommend making a reservation. I ordered the Burger Parisienne with caramelized onion, American cheese and sauce bordelaise, and when I tell you that burger was drenched in sauce... whew! I ate it like a slice of cake. The sauce, cheese and caramelized onions all worked so well together. We also ordered the boquerones deviled eggs with white anchovy, olives and chives. They were SO nice that I ordered them twice! If that doesn't tell you how much I enjoyed them, I don't know what will. Lastly, we ordered the Parmesan pommes frites with aioli? That aioli made those fries come alive! The customer service was excellent. Shoutout to Timothy at the front because his energy and hospitality were unmatched. He was friendly and welcoming, and definitely made a great first impression. There is also plenty to explore around Culver City, and I really enjoyed the community feel of the area. People were out walking around, meeting up with friends and enjoying their Friday evening. My friend and I even walked around after dinner. Overall, Simonette was a great experience from the food to the atmosphere and the service. The Burger Parisienne and those deviled eggs alone have me wanting to go back. I'd absolutely recommend giving Simonette a try if you're in Culver City!

My wife and I used to love Simonette -- it was our go-to for a steak and fries fix. Our last visit,…read morethough, was disappointing. We ordered the tuna tartare, steak frites, and roasted chicken. The tartare was excellent, but the entrees fell flat. The steak used to be a tender filet; this time the cut was chewy, cut with the grain, and smothered in a new curry sauce. I don't know if we got a bad cut or if they've downgraded quality to manage rising beef prices, but the sauce felt like it was masking something. At $41, I can't justify the dish. The chicken's flavor was still good, but the portion seemed smaller, and it's no longer served with their excellent whipped potatoes. Sadly, we're moving on. LA has no shortage of great restaurants, and at these prices, every dish needs to earn it. C'est la vie, Simonette.

What's even more shocking was that I was driving by a place that in my eyes deserves some special attention! So espresso martinis are a thing and this place came highly recommended for them so my sugar sugar and I said, why not?? We made reservations and left a bit early because based off Google Maps the restaurant is on the corner of Manchester and Lincoln but based off my memory, I never saw a restaurant with that name! So to clear the air, it's there y'all, you just have to slow down and look. When you walk in the restaurant is dimmed and it totally sets the mood and my mood was steak!! Our waiter was super cool and we appreciate his hospitality. He asked if it was our first time. We confirmed and he ensured us that we would enjoy our experience and enjoy we did! First - espresso martinis. It was as if the bartender read our minds...they were made to perfection! Flavorful and you can definitely taste the balance of the espresso and alcohol. I ordered the steak frites and sugar sugar ordered the salmon. We always try each other's food and we couldn't determine which dish was better. The salmon was baked perfectly and the side salad was delicious! The steak had just enough seasoning so that it didn't overpower the quality of the meat. I have never had a perfectly cooked steak in my life! Ruth Chris who? Maestros where? I don't even eat steak on a regular but best believe it will be at the Manchester moving forward. As sugar sugar and I continue on our quest to try as many espresso martinis in LA, best hands down the best steak for me is here! Save me a seat!!
