Food was delish. Get the cauliflower! Service excellent and ambiance was certainly a vibe. Small parking lot in back and small outdoor seating area too.
What an unassuming little spot! Can be tough to be find! Popped in for a happy-hour type get together with a few friends while we were in town. Super dark and vibey inside. The five of us were sat at a booth and quickly taken care of. Menu was hard to decide on, as there were lots of good picks, but in the end we went with everything that was good on the shareable end. From the wings and house-made chips, to the broccoli and burgers, all of it was super flavorful. Oh I also has a martini (olive + lemon), which was great and on happy hour special. My friend also ordered a cocktail and we were all shocked when it turned up looking like a tropical vacation blue drink. All and all a great little spot with solid ambiance.
Been wanting to stop by the Manchester for a while, and I'm glad I did! It's an intimidate and moody space, featuring a nice selection of cocktails and food. Theres a parking lot, which helps for easy parking. Service was quick. The steak frites were addicting, highly recommend! There's also a nice cocktail hour on Saturday night from 9-close that I intend to check out one day.
Been here a handful of times. Time to drop a review. Made it here last Friday, during the World Series Game 6 (Dodgers and Blue Jays). No TV's here by the way. Arrived early enough so I found a spot in the lot. not much space and don't park in the KFC lot. Park on the street if you have to. Just be mindful that there are a few displaced encampments on the sidewalk behind the restaurant and you may want to just park over near Bristol Farms and walk over. Service has always been awesome here. It's not a big place so it should be easy enough to keep tabs on the guests. This last visit, even though only me, I was offered a table which I accepted leaving me room - not being stuck with two different parties at the bar. See pics. Food has always been good. Like I said, been here a handful of times. It's likely more because it's very close to home. And I may have forgotten to check in and or take/post pics on a few visits. I'm almost thru the entire menu and even when I've had everything - I'll still make it back. Food is good. Service is great and it's close to home. It's not really comfort food for me but just all around a great experience every time I've come here.
The Manchester is a teeny hidden gem in LA. It sits in small building with a couple other businesses, you definitely need to look to find it. The interior is dark and moody, perfect for a date night. I visited with some coworkers and we are big sharers haha, so we got a couple of things to split. We tried the cacio e pepe potato chips and dip, Sichuan chicken wings, the Manchester burger, charred broccolini, and short rib stroganoff. The chips, wings, and burger were all on their great happy hour menu - these items were such a good deal. The burger was classic and simple but yummy. My favorite thing was the stroganoff so so good!
I see this bar gets crowded for dinner time. I was just stopping by for a quick drink. Would definitely come back to try their food!
We sat at the bar to enjoy happy hour which is offered every day from 4-6 pm. Balam was very attentive as we worked our way through cocktails followed by wine and the happy hour chicken wings and steak frites. Wings were flavorful and didn't even need the smoked soy ranch dressing. Steak frites were perfectly medium rare and with fries and baby greens was a full on meal. Prices are in line with portions (especially happy hour) and parking is easy. Pay via the inkind app for discounts. And bonus for no TVs so you can enjoy conversation. Deserving of 5 stars overall.
This place was everything you could think of when you think of perfect. They have a great bar. Great atmosphere. Great people. The owner Ben was awesome. Cayo put together the delicious food and everyone was so enjoyable. Highly recommended. I'll be back. I hear they have another restaurant as well just across the street. That will be my next stop. Come in and enjoy
Very friendly attentive establishment. The food was okay and the drinks were very strong LOL my steak and fries were cooked perfect. I'd definitely recommend the steak and frites. I didn't care much for the appetizers. Partner ordered their tuna tartare and I ordered their whipped ricotta board. I'd give this another try.
We were lucky to find this gem. It was hard to find the front door but once in, we immediately knew it was our vibe. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was relaxing. The owner stopped at our table to see how things were going. I think that is a classy move and more owners should do that. We will definitely be back.
It's hard to pinpoint exactly what type of food joint this--gastropub or just elevated bar with some great offerings. Whatever it is, the food and drinks were excellent here, as befits the price of most of them. There was not one dish that was a letdown or somewhat lacking in any way. My steak frites came out quite medium rare where I didn't wish it could've been more one way or the other. And the other standout dish were the clams, which were a good counterpoint to the beef. Our waiters had us covered and were checking constantly for anything else we might need. And the whole night was just memorable.
My husband and I first visited the Manchester earlier in 2024, and enjoyed our dining experience there. We've since been back a few times for dinner. The Manchester is a casual restaurant in the Westchester neighborhood of Los Angeles. It's dark inside with no windows and not much light, so it doesn't feel like a typical LA restaurant. You can easily find free parking nearby. The menu has options for both vegetarians and meat-eaters, but there are only a few vegetarian options. Service has always been efficient and friendly. My husband especially likes coming here during happy hour for the $5 burger, which is a steal. I think the food here has generally been good, but I didn't love my steak the last time I was here, and I don't think this is a restaurant worth coming to if you don't live nearby.
There's nothing like finding a gem in the middle of Los Angeles. When I tell you I have driven by this spot at least 20-30 times and did not realize it was there baffles me. What's even more shocking was that I was driving by a place that in my eyes deserves some special attention! So espresso martinis are a thing and this place came highly recommended for them so my sugar sugar and I said, why not?? We made reservations and left a bit early because based off Google Maps the restaurant is on the corner of Manchester and Lincoln but based off my memory, I never saw a restaurant with that name! So to clear the air, it's there y'all, you just have to slow down and look. When you walk in the restaurant is dimmed and it totally sets the mood and my mood was steak!! Our waiter was super cool and we appreciate his hospitality. He asked if it was our first time. We confirmed and he ensured us that we would enjoy our experience and enjoy we did! First - espresso martinis. It was as if the bartender read our minds...they were made to perfection! Flavorful and you can definitely taste the balance of the espresso and alcohol. I ordered the steak frites and sugar sugar ordered the salmon. We always try each other's food and we couldn't determine which dish was better. The salmon was baked perfectly and the side salad was delicious! The steak had just enough seasoning so that it didn't overpower the quality of the meat. I have never had a perfectly cooked steak in my life! Ruth Chris who? Maestros where? I don't even eat steak on a regular but best believe it will be at the Manchester moving forward. As sugar sugar and I continue on our quest to try as many espresso martinis in LA, best hands down the best steak for me is here! Save me a seat!! read more

Expensive drinks, dark vibes and good eats! I recommend catching a happy hour, sitting at the bar, or grabbing a seat in their outdoor patio. They certainly live their ranch sauce, they add it on everything. I ordered 4 different plates and they all had the same sauce. Tuna tartar 2/5 Steak frites 4/5 Broccoli 3/5 Fries 4/5 read more

Little place on the corner of Lincoln and Manchester to hang and meet up with friends or maybe a date. The menu has a select few items but not lots of options and a high price point. We entered from the back and it was by a construction barricade, not too safe if you drinking alot. One guy walked around serving plates to tables while the other staff huddle at the bar corner. Ordered steak fries, the meat was tasty but it was a small steak cut into 5 or 6 pieces with salad and wonky looking fries. $39 we said whewww. Lol We were in budget mode so this was not the place to be. The steak was well seasoned, the fries were a bit over cooked and the salad had too much lemon but it worked itself out in the end. The warm olives appetizer... warmed olives in a bowl for $10 or so, it's not my thing. Old fashion was $19, I'm like wwhere are we? A visible speakeasy on the corner. $85 for a dish, a drink, a beer and warm olives... Hmm read more

The Manchester completely exceeded my expectations. I searched "steakhouse near me" on Yelp and found The Manchester to be the closest place. However, I was not up for the arduous task of gritting ready, so the gamble for take out was in the cards this evening. Boy oh boy were we blown away! The flavors of each meal were so unique, fresh, delicious and of the highest quality! I must admit, I had a bit of FOMO when I walked into this establishment thinking, "maybe a nice dinner out would have been a better option," but honest - nope! It was just as great of an experience to each from the comfort of my own home. I look forward to returning for the full experience! read more

The Manchester is a great find while in the LAX region of town that will wash all the travel away from one who has either, landed, is en route to the airport, or God forbid, delayed. The sexy ambiance matches the diverse complex cuisine here. The beef tartare was phenomenal and paired with a Manhattan makes for a great starter. We shall definitely return to The Manchester with friends to celebrate and we have only begun to make you part of our LA experience. read more
From the moment you're greeted at the door to when you square away the bill, the Manchester is gem of a restaurant. Ive tried most of the menu already and hands down the Steak and fries are a 10 outta 10. The braised beef and the salmon are great too. Manchester also has a knowledgeable bar staff that can craft you a perfect cocktail as well. I've had a go from the vodka dirty martini, old fashion all the way to a mojito. All of them perfect. The place is dimly lit and not loud at all, which can make it an exceptional place to have a peaceful dinner. Great for intimate party of 2 or mmmaybe groups of up to six I think. Overall: It's always an enjoyable time to stop by here for a quality dinner and served up by an exceptional staff member. Looking forward to becoming a regular. Cheers! read more
The food was delicious but the customer service was the cherry on top. I ordered the steak frites and LOVED the fries and condiments but my steak was initially *very* chewy. I had a hard time with it but tried to eat it anyway while my friend ordered the same thing with no issue. I mentioned it to a server and without hesitation he took my plate (with almost all salad + fries eaten btw) and the kitchen remade my food. I got an entirely new plate, the steak was perfect and two different people checked in on me to make sure it was done well this time. They went above and beyond and I could not have enjoyed my dinner more. The ambiance is also super sweet and moody, we sat on the patio and that still held true. I want to come back here with my fiancé I loved it so much. The flan was also soo good!! read more
