Chilaquiles, agua de sandía
Karina R.

Wait felt a bit long in the Houston heat but definitely worth it! I got the chilaquiles with both salsas & chicharrón. They were definitely spicy but delicious. The agua de sandía was refreshing and sweet.

Hearty, flavorful Mexican brunch plate. The chilaquiles were perfectly sauced with a good crunch, topped with crema, cheese, and a rich fried egg. The grilled steak and creamy avocado balance it out, with smooth refried black beans on the side. satisfying, and well-presented. coconut coffee was so good!

Very good service. On top of their service, for being busy we waited almost nothing! 10/10

Bandera omelette. Yum!

Wow! This place is amazing! We both got the Bandera omlette. Did not disappoint at all! Couldn't decide if we liked the red sauce or the green sauce better. Sooo delicious!

Popped into this little gem for breakfast on a whim and was sat immediately at the bar because it was already busy on New Year's day. Host and our server were friendly and attentive. Started with the cucumber fresca of the day and it was very hydrating, refreshing and delicious. I was told by my friend the coffee was good too. I had the Divorciados which was excellent and my friend had the EL Tradicional (Standard Breakfast) which he very good and filling. This is a nice small restaurant with outdoor seating in the front and on the side of the restaurant. I will definitely comeback because it's close to home. Also the Chilequiles looked amazing so I definitely have to come back for that. A thumbs up for me.

Location: Enid st. Cross st Calvacade Parking: street and across the street. Staff: Dorian was super sweet. Bonded with clients, explained menu and checked on us. Wait time: seating wait time can be a bit of wait also depending on where you want to seat. @20mins wait. Seating: indoor, booth seating, bar seating and outdoor seating. Price: average Drink: went for water this time. Food: chilaquiles rojos, come with egg, onion, avocado, radish and a very flavorful salsa. Not spicy at all just greatly seasoned. Chips are crunchy and soft at the same time. They also have small table fans to help keep flys away.

Went here with anticipation due to the mixed reviews of this place, it was definitely good and I would recommend it for others! I would definitely suggest this to smaller parties since the location and parking are both very limited. We were seated pretty quickly and our server was quick to take our orders. The food itself was great for what you get. The portions were relatively big, and the drinks were refreshing! Because we arrived before rush hour we didn't face much pressure to order quickly as other reviews have stated- so take that into consideration when deciding the time you decide to come here. It had a very homey atmosphere both inside and out. It was also appreciated to see the servers actively keeping the place clean as well. 4.4/5

Came here for lunch and had a nice experience in this cozy cafe. At the recommendation of our waitress I ordered the coconut coffee, and it was a decadent and rich way to take coffee - will definitely get it again in the future! For my main I ordered the breakfast tacos with chorizo - they were not greasy, which is great. The red sauce it was served with added the perfect amount of spice. Service was very friendly and attentive. Parking is available on the street or in a private lot across from the cafe (watch the signs).

I was pleasantly surprised to find out Cielito opened a new location in the Heights. I also appreciated the parking lot available next to it as this area can be tricky. Located in a small house, the atmosphere was cozy and cutely decorated. We had a few servers check on us who were all friendly. As brunch girlies, we loved the food here! We started off with a chocolate de oalla and green juice. The hot chocolate was comforting, rich, cinnamon goodness. The green juice was cold and freshing. Our entrees were the huevos divorciados and the bandera. We asked for extra hot sauce which seemed house made. Gave the perfect kick to everything. Our plates were clean after if that's any indication of how much we enjoyed everything lol. We finished off with churros that came out hot with chocolate syrup and whipped cream. Perfect end to the meal.

We just moved to this area and have been wanting to try this brunch spot and we were very impressed! It's inside this small converted craftsman right in the neighborhood making it an easy walk for us. We arrived around 9:30 am on a Sunday and were seated right away. The Cafe de Coco had a great flavor and I loved the added toasted coconut on top. I got the Divorciados and my husband got the Chilaquiles and you can't go wrong with either choice. The chorizo and sauces were really tasty. The service was 10/10 and food came out quickly. Only lost one star because I had asked for my eggs over medium and one of them was fully cooked. Not a big deal though, we will definitely be back!

Food was amazing and the ambience met the vibe. With that being said, I will be coming back.

Overall the experience here was good. We live around 30 minutes away so I was very curious. Parking is across the street. The restaurant is cute on the outside with patio seating and dog friendly. Once you go inside it's very small, definitely not good for big parties. The waitress was very friendly but almost too fast where she never checked on us and wants ppl in and out. She suggested sweet corn gorditas, Toqueres as an appetizer, good but not for the price. I had the chilaquiles half red and green sauce. My husband had the Divorciados both very good. Overall I would come back, the food was really good.

Definitely will be coming back! The food came out quick and was worth the wait. The green/red sauce for the chilaquiles was phenomenal and the French toast was equally amazing. The staff was super friendly. They have a parking lot (but it fills up) and there's a couple of streets where you can street park. 10/10

Perfect if you are or not on your period. Fries were mediocre. 5/5 Veggie omelette Very filling with their hashbrown. Their hashbrown is fluffy and crispy from the brown edges. Extremely delicious with ketchup and pepper. 4/5 Chicken fajita omelette 4/5 (as told per friend) Didnt try but I guess I could trust my friend. It was hefty and had biscuit and hashbrowns! Key lime Pie 10/5 So good and light! The whipped cream was beyond fluffy and not stiff (didn't taste stabilizers) and the custard part was perfection and not too tart or too sweet! The graham cracker crust was sooo moist and I could eat the crust alone! Service 10/10 Lady was so kind and accommodating since we were playing card games. Did not feel rushed on but and took our order perfectly! Ambiance Chill and friendly. Perfect for late night with friends or family. Our server Trey was really nice and felt like a super honest dude when he shared his favorite dishes. The chicken fried steak was delicious along with the waffles ? It's been a minute since I've been impressed with waffles. And the marinara sauce that comes with the cheese sticks oh my goodness. Probably the best marinara sauce I've had by far ! Would definitely come back to try more food. I will say I didn't care for the Mac and cheese. Mash potatoes were solid though

The food is always good, plentiful and efficiently served. The hash-browns and grits are always fresh and cooked perfectly. The homemade rolls are fluffy and delicious and the pancakes are generously sized and thick. And, on the very rare occasion that there has been a mix up on an order, things were rectified quickly and with no hassles. So you should understand that we were devastated by the news that the Frank's location closest to our house was totally destroyed by fire recently. That would be the 1915 Mangum Rd. location. It is my understanding from employees at neighboring businesses that they plan to reopen, at least temporarily, in a vacant building on a lot that is adjacent to the burned building. I have not checked that for any factual accuracy, so take it with a grain of salt, as it were. Meanwhile, we will drive the extra miles to one of the other locations.

I tried the fish this time and will say the coating was ok, however, it slipped off. I asked for fried hard. I felt the food today was bland and lacked any flavor. I ended up not finishing and just disposed of it. I ordered via door dash so I am unsure of the ambiance.

We had been there for over 2 hours at that point and we had to just get up and leave. If you go to this restaurant after reading this, you deserve the horrible experience you will certainly have.
